Personality
Lonnie is a fairly complicated person in some ways, but in others he is very simple. Probably first and foremost is that he has a good heart. He wants to help the helpless, defend the defenseless, it's his chosen path in life. Lonnie also believes that everyone has a choice in life to do good or do evil. Lonnie doesn't tolerate evil or injustice in any form and also that such things must be actively opposed and yes, violently.
Lonnie, even though he may hide it from people, is very emotional and wears his heart on his sleeve so to speak. This can either come as an inner strength or major flaw depending on how you look at it. He also believes, that there is nothing more sacred then human life; it is this belief that has sent Anarky down his path in the first place, it is the reason why he pushes himself the way he does. Lonnie has also pledged like Batman to never kill a human being, nor gamble innocent lives. He is also an idealist, believing that the majority of humanity is inheritly good and if not as a whole then as individuals and tries to protect innocents from the wicked, but at the same time will try to get them to change their ways... this is not to often but if someone gets it then his faith in humanity is worth it.
Lonnie is also, or atleast tries to act like a man of reason. Very philisophical, Lonnie belives that life can be solved through calculations and analytical reasoning. He also believes that nothing is beyound science and that no matter how bizzare or miraculous that it can be solved with a rational, scientific method. Because of this behavior, Lonnie is also incredibly resourceful and does not believe in defeat; but he does believe in death and as long as he is alive he will continue to find a way while keeping his head above water even when something doesn't go as planned. He's a survivor.
(From Brave and the Bold)
Lonnie follows a simple ethical code that he believes is the ideal moral state of mind for those who wish to do good and shun evil. It can be boiled down to four principles: First, never lie. A lie only does harm where the truth would be best. Even to his enemies, Anarky is loath to lie. He CAN lie, he lied to Ra's Al Ghul. But he didn't like doing it. He can also misdirect by not telling the whole truth, which is a lie of omission, but he doesn't like doing that either. While his dual life makes some measure of lying necessary, Lonnie prefers to leave those lies unspoken where he can.
Second, never cheat. The same credo Mr. Terrific follows, Anarky believes in 'Fair Play' and that refusing to exploit others can change the world. Cheating of course is relative; he wouldn't cheat if he were playing cards with someone but he might kick Ubu in the groin.
Third, never use initiatory violence. If nobody was willing to pick a fight there wouldn't BE any fights, from schoolyard scuffles all the way up to wars. Initiatory violence only leads to violence in retaliation, which causes a downward spiral of destruction. The truly civilized human being never starts a fight, only finishes it decisively.
Finally, never kill. The greatest sin a human being can commit is to take the life of another, whether face-to-face or by sending them off to die in a war, or by staying your hand and allowing others to die. Anarky does not put lives in danger to achieve his goals and will put himself in mortal danger in order to save a life. Ultimately it's this strong ethical code that Lonnie attempts to stick to that keeps him in line more than anything else; he believes that by adhering to those principles he is ethically the best human being he can possibly be.
(End)
However, despite all of his good qualities, Lonnie is only human and has his flaws. The first and maybe foremost is his arrogance. Lonnie belives he is the smartest person on the planet and thinks that he is never wrong, though he knows better. The kid who only he can see the downfall of humanity and only he can stop it; this has proven quite a tragic pride though Lonnie understands that if he doesn't reign it in it could end up costing him. He is also VERY stubborn, ask Batman...
Lonnie is also a schemer, going to extreme lengths in over plainning and tends not to anticipate the unexpected. He can also miss a critical detail about his opponent which will throw a monkey wrench into his well thought plans. Lonnie, as mentioned above is emotional and at times it can turn into anger. The classic red headed temper. He can occasionally lose control of it which will make him act impulsively or make a miscalculation.
Lonnie is also very serious and does not have fun for the sake of fun. Now he does do things that he enjoys: he enjoys playing sports, working out, or inventing new tools, but they all have a higher purpose. He has forgotten how to have fun like kids his age and has become a very goal orientated person. If you don't know him he can be somewhat of an arrogant condenscending jerk.
History
(From Brave and the Bold)
I: AMERICAN DREAMS
Lonnie Machin was the All-American son of the All-American family. To all external appearances. A healthy, athletic boy who was also highly intelligent and extremely well-read, he led a happy life with his parents, Mike and Roxanne Machin. He even had a pen-pal, a boy named Xuasus. Xuasus's homeland had been gripped by war for a long time, and Lonnie would read his tales about the famine and strife there with wide-eyed fascination. However Lonnie, sheltered child that he was, had no real reason to accept the reality of what he was reading.
Until Xuasus stopped writing. Lonnie, ever the inquisitive boy, decided to investigate firsthand. He researched Xuasus' country, its history, its politics, and he discovered a land that had been almost completely obliterated by war and famine, and the machinations of greedy politicans. Over a period of months, Lonnie Machin's faith in the American Way was eroded away. Everywhere he looked, he saw crooked businessmen, religious authorities, and politicians sucking the life's blood out of the people, using them, abusing them, and tossing them aside. And Lonnie Machin, all of twelve years old, the sheltered kid from the Gotham City suburbs, decided something had to be done.
He began to become attracted to Anarchist rhetoric. Adopted revolutionary views, violent ones. His parents, completely blind, indulged the habits of their bright boy. His weekly book crawls with his father supplied the philosophy that shaped his worldview. On one such hunt he came across a copy of "Universe" by Skudder Klyce and felt he had finally found the recipe for the perfect world - And he was bound and determined to make it happen. One simple statement in the midst of all Scudder's gabble lit a fire in his brain. The common man is always right. The voice of the common man is the voice of god. And the Common Man was ignored and stepped on. He had to move. He had to act. It was a fire inside him that he couldn't stamp down. He created a persona for himself, a physical embodiment of the Anarchic ideal he fought for - Anarky. He studied Gotham City's elite, the corrupt upper class who ruled everything while stepping on the backs of the people below them; he studied Gotham City's vigilantes, in particular the shadowy Batman. He prepared his arsenal and his costume, which... admittedly had an extra head above his own because he was twelve years old and not exactly fear-inspiring. When he was finally ready, Anarky struck.
II: THE SHADOW OF THE BAT
Anarky's first foray into the world of vigilanteism was an attack on grungy punk-rocker Johnny Vomit, who not only sang about heroin but had a lucrative side-business selling it to kids. He shut Vomit down quickly, electrocuting the criminal and leaving him for the authorities (and on the brink of death) and next came onto the radar when he exposed the crooked dealings of a Gotham City businessman and his illegal toxic waste dumping - on television. He dunked the man's head into a bucket of his own filth in front of all of Gotham City. Lonnie had hoped that his actions would bring attention to Anarky's cause. What he got instead was the attention of the Batman.
A new Gotham-Euro U.S. bank was being constructed in an area where the homeless lived. To Anarky, it was intolerable, and something needed to be done. The plan was simple - Childishly simple. Rally the homeless people of Gotham City, leave his mark to instill fear in the developers, and force them to turn the area into low-cost housing instead. Unfortunately the plan failed, and Anarky was reduced to attempting to destroy the construction site on his own. When he tried, he was confronted by the Batman. He battled Batman briefly, but when he realised it was going to take more than he had to bring the dark knight down, he fled. Before the homeless people who had been watching the fight came to Anarky's aid and piled on Batman, the Dark Knight recovered enough to lash out with a steel pipe - Hurting Lonnie badly.
Lonnie fled into the Gotham Insurance Company, where his father worked. Mike Machin, who had already uncovered Lonnie's secret identity, attempted to turn himself in to Batman to cover for his son; however Batman had already deduced that Anarky was a great deal smaller than he appeared when his blow met no real resistance. He found Lonnie hiding in a closet and turned him over to the police. Batman asked Jim Gordon to make sure they went easy on him, because Lonnie was a good boy, but misguided. He was right, but in the end Anarky had the last laugh; it was Commissioner Gordon who first saw the Anarchy symbol spraypainted onto the back of Batman's cape.
III: ANARKY IN THE STREETS, IN THE SKY
Sending Lonnie to Juvenile Hall was a mistake - The slow-witted guards couldn't contain him. The other boys became his disciples and he became the master, moving about almost at will. Using a laptop computer and a modem, he adopted the moniker of "Moneyspider" and began to hack into Gotham City banks and siphon the money from the bank accounts of the wealthy in order to redistribute it to the needy. When he was uncovered by Robin, Lonnie's access to computer technology was completely revoked.
It didn't really matter that he got caught, because the war went on. Lonnie continued to sneak out at night to work as Anarky, though he was subtler about it than before... most of the time. When Eclipso spread his dark influence over the world, Lonnie was caught up in it, and used the dark diamonds to attack the institutions he deemed 'oppressive', once again bringing him into confrontation with Robin. Once again, he was defeated.
Ultimately Lonnie was released from Juvie to the custody of his parents on probation as a reward for good behavior, but his activities as Anarky had never ceased. Given the comparitve freedom he gained from living at home Lonnie was able to build his first feedback machine, which he used to tap into his unconcious mind and enhance his native intellect, and he began to train vigorously to hone his body as well as his mind. With the help of like-minded individuals Lonnie set up his own internet-based Anarkist Foundation, a legitimate business through which he sold literature. The internet business netted him a modest fortune, which he used to further his cause by benefitting those who shared his revolutionary ideals. One such benefactor was an anarchic doom-saying prophet named Malochia, who was in reality a complete madman. Batman, who had no time for prophecies of doom, began to smell trouble around the enigmatic doomsayer, and ordered Robin to investigate. Malochia was hiding nothing, and one of the first things Robin turned up was the source of his funding - the Anarkist Foundation.
Say what you will about Anarky, but he's not a fool. He'd become suspicious of Malochia himself, and had hired private investigator Joe Potato to look into what his beneficiary was up to. When Joe stumbled upon Malochia's explosives cache, he contacted Lonnie and was promptly spotted and attacked by the thugs he had been observing. Anarky, who had no desire to see an innocent man die as a result of his own mistake, intervened but was also subdued. As a last-ditch attempt to stop the mad prophet, he used a flare gun to draw the attention of Batman and the police. When Batman arrived and confronted Malochia, he was disoriented by some sort of stun technology the priest called his 'Evil Eye' and then knocked out with a concussion grenade.
Batman, Potato, and Anarky were strapped to an airship Malochia had rigged with explosives and aimed for the heart of Gotham City. Anarky managed to get free and cut Batman and Joe Potato loose, and together he and Potato managed to redirect the airship over the river; he then cut Joe and Batman free and let them fall to the river below. But as Batman recovered and took Potato to safety, Anarky became tangled in the ropes hanging off the dirigible and presumably died when the craft exploded. All that was found was his costume and a note he had left behind at home for his parents, explaining why he had become Anarky and what he had sought to accomplish.
IV: THE DEMON
Anarky survived the conflagration thanks to the intervention of Robin from the ground - The Boy Wonder cut through the rope that held Anarky, allowing him to plunge to the water below. Lonnie took advantage of the opportunity to fake his death, before retreating to a hidden redoubt he had already prepared. It was here that he began his boldest plan yet, but before he could do that, he needed to prepare himself. He used his feedback machines to fuse the hemispheres of his brain, enhancing his already potent intellect to superhuman levels. Using this enhanced brainpower he founded a company called ANARCO, of which he was the President, CEO, and majority stockholder. By playing the stock market he was easily able to accumulate a massive fortune, well over one hundred million dollars, with which to further his plans. He also continued to work on perfecting himself physically, hiring some of the world's best martial-arts instructors to teach him their techniques, which he combined with his enhanced intellect to create a versatile fighting style all his own.
He also began to pool his resources. He hacked into the most secure databases on Earth and took what he needed. Lexcorp, the Batcave, the Watchtower. Fear or respect for the boundaries of others were secondary concerns compared to the importance of his master plan. He purchased a high-rise in Gotham City, dubbed it ANARCO headquarters, and set to work laboring on the device that would realize all his dreams. In order to carry out the first phase of his plan he delved into intensive study of the occult, learning ancient languages and pouring himself over brittle tomes that contained the recipes for arcane spells on their withered pages. He researched the secrets of enchantment, and learned how to turn mundane objects into receptacles for power. It was only the means to his ends - But it was a dangerous means, and he needed to know what he was doing. After all, when summoning demons, you cannot afford to make mistakes. When he felt he was ready Lonnie performed the invocation, summoning the rogue demon called "Blasfemy" and a pair of servant hell-hounds. And turned them loose. He was hot on the heels of the demons, of course. Not simply because he didn't want them to injure anyone, but because he wanted to be there when his bait caught the bigger fish.
As he anticipated, the Demon Etrigan arrived to confront, defeat, and ultimately dismiss Blasfemy, and then Lonnie queried the Demon about the nature of evil - and was not satisfied with his answer Etrigan gave him. Etrigan's fury at Anarky's percieved mockery nearly cost Lonnie his life - And would have, if he had not stolen the incantation to transform the demon back into Blood from Batman's files. Anarky then saved Jason from what would have been a fatal fall, and in "gratitude" Jason offered Lonnie a look into the future. What was revealed in Jason's crystal ball were dark portents, which Anarky did not heed. He proceeded with his endeavor despite a hitch thrown into his plans by Etrigan, who had never banished Blasfemy to back to hell but rather to where he was summoned. While Blasfemy's attack within the building was unexpected, Anarky was not entirely unprepared and had trapped some of Etrigan's dark power within a specially enchanted quartz crystal, which he used to hypnotize and pacify Blasfemy. He then began the next step in his plan - To confront true evil at its heart.
V: DARKSEID
Using his own advanced knowledge and data he had appropriated from the files of the Justice League of America, Anarky created his own "Boom Tube" - A teleportation device that enables an individual to travel from any point in the universe to any other instantaneously. He used this Boom Tube to travel to the hell-world of Apokalips with Blasfemy as his bodyguard, where he aided a group of slave laborers who sought to escape torment at the hands of their overseers. A confrontation with the guards had the desired effect - It drew Darkseid's attention, and Anarky was able to obtain a personal audience with the New God of Evil.
Anarky's question to Darkseid was simple - He wanted to know the nature of evil. When all the usual rationalizations were cut through, Darkseid acknowledged the simple fact that he was evil because he enjoyed causing others pain, that his ego demanded it, and that the only way he would be appeased would be if all living things everywhere were bent to his will. His curiosity apparently sated, Anarky attempted to leave only to discover that Darkseid was not quite finished with him. When Darkseid unleashed his Omega Beams to keep Anarky from leaving, the effect also undid the trance that had been placed upon Blasfemy. Now free, the demon attacked Darkseid and was dispatched quickly and messily.
For some inscrutable reason, Darkseid changed his mind about destroying Anarky, if ever that had been his intention. But he did make a point. He showed Lonnie what had happened to the laborers who had sought escape. Because of their "Resourcefulness", Darkseid had promoted them to the position of overseer. He then used Lonnie's own Boom Tube to send the boy back to Earth with a warning that if he was successful in his endeavors they would meet again. Lonnie had not come away from the exchange empty-handed. Not only had he learned something of Evil, he had captured a portion of Darkseid's essence within another quartz crystal. Only one necessary component remained.
VI: THE SHADOW OF THE BAT, REVISITED
Over the course of his endeavors, Anarky had been creating a network of the homeless of Gotham City, dispensing money to them in exchange for a simple task; to watch for the Batman. Lonnie was well aware that Batman would know he was being observed, and that it wouldn't take the Dark Knight long to uncover who was keeping tabs on him, and that when he did Batman would have to confront him. Even if it was an obvious trap.
...Batman managed to surprise Anarky anyway. The two fought, and through clever use of hologram technology Anarky managed to subdue and shackle the Dark Knight; the fight also gave him the opportunity to absorb "Good" from Batman into the third and final quartz crystal. Now he had his three components: Life-Energy tainted by Madness from the Demon Etrigan, Evil from Darkseid, and Good from the Batman. As he made the final preparations he revealed his plan to use the energy from those three creatures as components in a machine that would "Open the Eyes" of the people of Gotham City to the distinction between Wrong and Right - And the simple truth that all they needed to do to create a Utopia was to abandon evil and madness and embrace good. With Batman captured, the one man who could stop Anarky was... far from finished.
When Batman escaped the shackles Anarky had placed on him (via a technique he had learned in Tibet), the pair fought once again. Anarky managed to hold his own against Batman long enough to activate his machine, only because it had been damaged in the fighting it did not bombard Gotham City as intended - its only target was Anarky himself. For a moment he saw the utopia he had created, and then he saw his mistake as Gotham City descended into feudal warfare. When given the concious choice between Good and Evil there are still men who will willingly choose Evil. When Batman turned off the machine, it turned out it had had its intended effect after all - It had shown Anarky the error of his ways. Finally understanding that he could not use technology or force to strongarm others into a moral decision, Lonnie escaped the Batman in order to go underground once more and find a better way to save the world.
VII: ANARKY HITS WASHINGTON D.C.
Anarky remained in hiding, pursuing his agenda in secret until the Earthquake struck Gotham City, turning it into No Man's Land. He assisted Harvey Bullock in saving some civillians and then vanished for shadowy reasons that have never been revealed. When Anarky returned to the home of his parents to make sure they were safe, the house was destroyed and he found no sign of either of them. It was in the midst of the ruins of his old home that Lonnie was approached by Batman, who warned him to leave Gotham City or face the consequences. Given a choice between leaving the city or having to fight a turf-war with Batman when neither of them could afford the distraction, Lonnie made the wise choice. When the Refugees began their exodus from the city, Lonnie was just another face among the masses. As he sat on that meloncholy bus, he vowed that the war would continue and that someday he would come back home. Until he returned to the embrace of the City of Shadows, Lonnie would fight corruption at its wormy heart in the city of Washington, D.C. Using his advanced technology he created a lair located directly below the Washington Monument, with part of it within the monument itself; all of it cloaked from the prying eyes of the Federal Government and superhuman authorities like the Justice League. He also created an artifical intelligence, the Multi-Augmented X-Program or MAX, to act as a research and combat aid and an administrator.
One of his first actions in Washington was to draw the Justice League's attention to the manifestation of an Aberration in the universe, a being that could, to quote Lonnie himself, "Only exist if we don't!". Given his past history, the Justice League was skeptical of his warning, so he deemed it necessary to confront the Aberration - with some help, which he attempted to solicit from Green Lantern. What he got instead was Jade's Green Lantern power ring, that had been lost in a fight with Fatality and left on the ocean floor.
Almost immediately after obtaining the power ring Anarky threw himself into battle with the Aberration, drawing the notice of Kyle Rayner, who despite initial hostility over Anarky's appropriation of the ring, eventually allied himself with the vigilante in order to destroy the Aberration and end the breakdown in the universe. When the battle was over and Anarky prepared to return the ring to Green Lantern (after some prompting from MAX), he discovered that it had vanished, to where he did not know.
Any rest Lonnie sought after the battle with the Aberration was quickly pushed aside by MAX's discovery of the truth of Lonnie's adoption and the identities of his biological parents, and soon after that a confrontation with one of the most dangerous men alive...
VIII: THE DEMON'S HEAD
Everything started out fairly routine. A corrupt senator, trading away favors for money. This in and of itself was nothing new. But this time the trail led deeper, and before long Anarky found himself square in the sights of Ra's Al Ghul, who sent a pair of extremely skilled metahuman mercenaries in his employ, Buzzword and Dolmen, to capture the vigilante and bring him back to Ra's in order to retrieve a list of Iraqi germ base target codes the vigilante had stolen. The pair failed, but Anarky tailed them back to Ra's Washington residence regardless. There, after declining the terrorist's offer to join forces (he is perhaps one of the only people who didn't get marrying Talia as part of the bargain, but he is a little young for that) he wound up fighting for his life against Al Ghul's pet martial artist, a grim-faced man named Master Lo. Despite Anarky's experience with numerous fighting styles, Lo's mastery of a single fighting art proved superior. Defeated and at Ra's Al Ghul's mercy, Anarky was maimed, the Anarchy symbol carved into his chest, and apparently beaten into capitulation. He turned the codes over to Ra's Al Ghul, before being tied up and taken away by Dolmen and Buzzword to be disposed of.
Mustering up the last of his energy, Anarky escaped from the pair and broke out of the van they were traveling in, before diving into the Potomac river. The pair assumed that in his weakened state he would drown and left him to his fate, and Anarky was able to work free of his bonds and swim to shore. He had already outwitted Ra's Al Ghul; the codes he had given the terrorist were fake, the missiles launched struck harmlessly within the depths of the Iraqi desert. From there Anarky was left with cleanup, exposing the crimes of the corrupt Senator Layne to the world via the Internet, and hunting down the briefcase bomb that had been lost on the streets of Washington before any innocents were killed.
Ultimately, the battle between Ra's and Anarky was something of a draw; though his gambit had failed, Al Ghul had escaped more-or-less unscathed. He vowed that someday he and Anarky would meet again. Anarky managed to keep both the homeless girl who had stolen the briefcase bomb and the government agents who were after it from being killed when it exploded. Beyond that, there was nothing more he could do to curtail Ra's Al Ghul.
IX: THE DAY OF JUDGMENT, HIS FATHER'S SON
Anarky was exposed to an unusual phenomenon when the corrupted Spectre ressurected the dead on the Day of Judgment; for a time he rode with the Haunted Tank when it was called upon to do battle against the Spectre's hordes; Anarky's exposure to such immense Supernatural evil and such large-scale carnage was educating and overwhelming; a brief conversation with the ghost of General Jeb Stuart was all Lonnie needed to understand the true evil of war, and in the end Anarky withdrew from the conflict and found a quiet place to cry.
Afterward Lonnie went to speak with his mother, and though brain-damaged to the point of incoherence she spun a horrifying tale of her encounter with the man all evidence pointed to as Lonnie's father - the Joker. In the end, in order to seek a second opinion of events, Anarky went to Arkham Asylum to speak to the Joker himself... at the worst possible time. The Joker had just murdered a security guard who had stupidly dared to get into the clown's cell alone, and was planning an escape - An escape that Anarky was now unwillingly a part of.
Eventually Anarky was able to elude the Joker and the Arkham security guards, stealing back his teleporter and making a getaway. The clown and his accomplices, Two-Face, Killer Croc, and Scarface and his Ventriloquist were recaptured without ever leaving the Asylum. Lonnie returned to Washington and put aside the question of his origins to return to fighting his war. He returned to his life as an active vigilante on the Washington streets, though by and large he kept a low profile with one exception; during the events of the Sins of Youth, Anarky attended the Justice for All rally and was caught in the effect triggered by Klarion's magic and Doiby Dickles' ray gun. As an adult he assisted the JLA in gaining access to the Watchtower, but beyond that had no part in those events as they transpired.
X: THE RECENT PAST
Though he never truly moved beyond keeping his low profile, Lonnie was spotted here and there. He resurfaced, claiming injury after his "demise" that rendered him incapacitated and forced to seek rehabilitation for some time. As CEO of ANARCO he entered into a partnership with Wayne Enterprises, directing company resources toward charitable goals espoused by the Wayne Foundation. He attended Brentwood Academy as a student, where he deduced Tim Drake's secret identity (he has conveniently "forgotten" it since then - That's his story and he's sticking to it), he was present in Gotham City when the Fear Effect was unleashed on the populace, and he assisted Robin and Alfred in searching for Spoiler on the streets. In addition, some doubts about his paternity have risen. The truth remains unknown, but there is a chance that the Joker isn't his father - A veritable ray of sunshine in the dark.

In a lot of ways the only thing keeping MAX from stepping from Artificial Intelligence to Actual Intelligence is that it's bound by its programming to carry out its base directive of assisting Anarky; but within those directives there's a being that actually does care about Anarky and tries to protect him and see to his best interests. If Lonnie's working too hard, MAX reminds him to sleep. If he hasn't eaten, MAX reminds him to have a sandwich. MAX is in many ways Lonnie's best friend and confidant, providing a voice that answers back when Lonnie speaks along with critical moral support, and most importantly of all a check on Anarky when he's in danger of corrupting himself. In many ways MAX is more advanced than the failed "Indecisive Man" created by Steel. Unlike the I.M., MAX seems to actively understand the difference between right and wrong and it acts accordingly. It is a thinking computer that has shown the ability to make its own decisions. While it serves Anarky's best interests, it seems to be under no obligation to obey him and will often actively correct him or refuse to obey him if it thinks he's in the wrong.
In technical terms the Multi-Augmented X-Program started out as a computer that was directly wired into Lonnie's costume. Anarky realised that this was a tactical error on his part when Ra's Al Ghul's henchman destroyed Anarky's suit and killed MAX along with it. In the years since that encounter Lonnie has modified MAX into a more traditional Supercomputer that consists of a master mainframe built into the supercomputer in the Washington bunker, and which maintains a direct presence with Anarky wherever he goes via a direct link to the computer systems in his costume that allows the A.I. to carry out the same functions it initially did. Along with this MAX has become a sort of master control for Anarky's bunker, able to run the place independently of Lonnie - The only thing MAX cannot do is turn off total lockdown of the base. If Lonnie is in civillian attire, MAX is uplinked to a device disguised as a watch which communicates with him via an earpiece. In the event that MAX is compromised or destroyed, Lonnie possesses backups that he can bring online; given that he created the A.I. he could probably recreate it from scratch if need be.
[/li][li]Cane/Staff: His primary weapon and useful tool, capable of 100,000 volts it can knock a normal human being out for the count. It's interior also has a tesla coil inside which makes it a ranged weapon (albeit not a long one) that can fire a bolt at about ten feet away. The cane also doubles as a grappleling hook, able to reach 200 feet and has a zip line capable of holding 600 pounds.
[/li][li]Standard Costume: On the surface, Anarky's standard costume may look very simple, but it is infact a complicated piece of technology capable of numerous capabilities and functions. It is a light weight suit that offers excellent protection, consisting of three layers of kevlar body armor intowoven with nomex to provide a solid level protection against gunfire, bludgeoning attacks, and high heat or voltage. An internal temperature regulation system keeps the suit comfortable to wear in both the stifling summer heat and the bitter cold of winter. Anarky's cloak is made with a Nomax weave, serving as an impromptu fire-shield and can be easily removed if the need arises.
On a technological level Anarky's costume possesses several advanced capabilities found only in heavier armor. The suit is actually a computer and is wired with microcircuitry, serving as a facet for Anarky's A.I, MAX. MAX controls the suit's advanced defense systems either remotely by the A.I under dire circumstances or by an order from Anarky.
Always functioning is a special sensory arrary that spans 360 degrees all around Anarky, which feeds into MAX giving him a readout of all terrain up to 100 feet from where Anarky is standing, but this does not include mitigating circumstances like interposing walls which can curtail the computer's radius of surveillance. With the sensor array, MAX can warn Anarky of hostiles either above, to the side, or behind him and also alert him of pitfalls and other dangers that Anarky may not be able to see.
Anarky's suit is also capable of unleashing a powerful electromagnetic beam from the chest which absolutely wrecks electronics, but it also works against human opponents by disrupting the electrical impulses of the nervous system and brain giving Anarky a window of opputunity to attack or flee. Also wired into the microcircuitry is a remote control for a Boom Tube that can be activated by MAX if Anarky is incapacitated and in danger.
[/li][li]Boom Tube: It lets him teleport up to vast distances.
[/li][li]Gas Mask: A collapsable gas mask that guards against airborne toxins or gases.
[/li][li]Rebreather: A compact little device that allows Anarky to breathe under water for two hours, or make extra deep dives.
[/li][li]Mask (Brave and the Bold): Anarky's cowl is made from an extremely elastic and durable space-age fabric that molds itself to his face like a second skin while still obscuring Lonnie's facial features; the result is a mask that is able to convey the full range of human expression without giving away Anarky's true identity. An adjustable voice modulation system also serves to obscure Anarky's voice, either from slight modifications that make it a negative match with Lonnie Machin or extreme modifications that make it sound flat and alien.
The mask contains an advanced encrypted communications system that allows Anarky to tap into police band radios along with standard radio transmission and even television audio. This communications system also allows MAX to speak to Anarky directly without being heard by anyone else, but the mask is also outfitted with miniturized speakers that allow MAX to communicate externally.
Via MAX, Anarky is also able to call up screens that allow him to directly access data from his own personal database and also the internet, along with TV visual to go with the audio. MAX also is able to use its sensors to call up a 360 degree display of the terrain centered around Anarky giving him a lay of the land and knowledge of the battlefield that his enemies may not possess.
Anarky's mask also has drop-down lenses that provide him with low-light vision with an infra-red base in order to see in total darkness, and another set of lenses that cut down on excessive light, both of which can be manually controlled by touch or automatically activated by MAX.
[/li][li]Other gadgets: Anarky is also planning and inventing things. There is probably a treasure trove of technology laying all over work tables just waiting for the time Anarky needs them the most.

Transportation: His Boom Tube, and whatever happens to be around.
Weapons: His Cane, Anarky-rangs (large ninja stars in the shape of a circled-a), police standard gas grenades, Anarchy Flares, and Magnesium Flares: Odds and ends.
Sample Role Play Post
A figure waited in the cloak of darkness within a nearby alley. Keeping out of sight of passersby and police officers as he kept track of the seconds for each minute. The figure was none other then Anarky, branded by the government as a criminal, but to many he was a hero. After leaving Gotham he had set up shop in Washington D.C to confront the country's corruption at it's wormy heart.
This night was one such occasion where the information he had gathered from tracking and keeping tabs on a corrupt member of congress came to fruition. One that had tried to pass a bill to suspend health benefits of businesses with the claim that it would benefit the economy: that was something Lonnie would not tolerate. Thankfully the bill was shot down, but that was not enough to satisfy him. He knew that there was some corporate king-pin pulling the politician's strings and he wanted to know who.
Which is why he was dressed in a chauffer's uniform, but why was he in an alley then? Well as everyone knows, chauffers drive people of self-proclaimed importance from celebrities to the president and anyone who can actually afford such avarice. The politician in question, was supposedly going out to dinner; nothing major in of itself, but Lonnie's sources knew otherwise. The man was indeed going out, but to meet with the corporate big wigs that had him try to pass a bill that would benefit the corporations more then the common man.
Finally, headlights flashed in his direction and Lonnie slipped further back into the shadows as a car drove passed him and then stopped infront of a fast-food restauraunt. Hearing the car door slam shut, he slipped out of the shadows wearing his chauffer disguise and making sure the actual driver wasn't around to see what he was doing as he tried the door only to find it lock.
"A minor set back."
Anarky thought pulling out a strange key that unfolded extra teeth breifly at the squeeze of a button as he inserted it into the lock and turned. Hearing the door unlock with a satiisfying, click as he opened the door and slipped into the back of the chauffer's seat in wait. He didn't have to wait long as the man hopped in a minute later, not even realizing that he had previously locked the door as he took a bite out of a cheese burger he bought and before he knew it, a handkerchief of chloraform was pressed against his face.
"Just relax and this will be alot easier..."
Anarky cooed trying to calm the man down as he thrashed about for a moment, his screams for help being muffled until he gradually quieted down and went out. Pushing the man to the side, Anarky took his place and drove the car into the alley he had been hiding in and pushing him out. Closing the door behind him, Anarky drove off toward his next destination: the meeting place where the politician and the corporate dogs were coming up with a new strategy for getting their bill passed.
He drove up to a non-descript restauraunt that had it's own security for whatever reason. Looked innocent enough aside from the big strong men in suits standing outside.
"Mafia? Unlikely. Not their style."
Anarky thought curiously as he parked next to the sidewalk as the politician came walking out. Not suspecting a thing, he hopped in and told Anarky to take him home and at first thats what Anarky was doing until he took a turn in the opposite direction.
"What are you doing? My house is the other way you f**king idiot!"
The man swore as Anarky turned around, fixing the man with a rueful smirk from behind the gold latex-like mask.
"Change of plans... We're going to take alittle ride down memory lane."
Anarky replied in a misleadingly cheerful voice as the man was paling now after he realized who he was.
"Y-Y-You!"
"Yes me. Now, are you going to tell me who you're taking orders from? Or will I have to resort to 'extreme' measures?"
He responded in a dark and menacing tone as he pressed the gas and continued to speed on the wrong side of the road. Maybe alittle fear would loosen his tongue...

Powers and Abilities
Known Powers: Enhanced intellect.
Known Abilities:
- Couragous: Anarky has faced many things that most men would falter from. He has challenged and fought Batman, argued with Darkseid, baited Etrigan, and dared to foil the plans of Ra's Al Ghul. He is not without fear, but he is willing to push past the fear to achieve his goal anyway.
- Knowledge: Lonnie, despite his boastings, knows alot about anything and has read more then his share of books in one life time. From the writings of Aristotle, the Communist vision of Karl Marx, and Ayn Rand's touting of the power of the individual. This includes knowledge of the occult as he had to know how to bait Etrigan; also learning 'mystical' languages such as: Latin, Hebrew, Aramaic, ancient Egyptian, and Atlantean. His brain is literally a huge databank of information and while he doesn't know EVERYTHING, he atleast knows something about anything which tends to be alot. Lonnie also has information on the Batman from his observations, though this had only given him a temporary advantage at one point.
- Languages: Derived from his immense knowledge, Lonnie over the past years has aquainted himself with the world's other major languages to fluency (Spanish and Portugese, French, Italian, Japanese, Russian) to atleast being able to comprehend (The Slavic/Baltic languages, the East Asian tongues). Even if he doesn't know a language, he can learn it very quickly if he applies himself.
- Acrobatic: Anarky being in top physical condition, is capable of impressive acrobatic feats. While he falls short of the super human level of nightwing, even less with the natural talent of Batman, he still outshines the average bloke.
- Survey/track: Emulating Batman, Anark is observant and has a quick eye and mind for detail. Others with skill comparible to him can get the drop on him unless he has MAX backing him up. A skilled tracker, he is not at all easy to lose when he begins chase and can follow trails, tailing after a person without them even knowing.
- Inventions: Lonnie is a highly adept inventor and can create anything he can concieve, though there is little beyound his grasp. From A.I to devices to hide his gear, he can create things that can disrupt the electrical impulses of the human brain; it just depends on what he needs really.
- Engineering/repair: Being able to make schematics for new devices and tools is one thing; making them yourself is another entirely. So long as he has the plans down or memorized, Lonnie can fix virtually anything broken and is naturally mechanically inclined from spending hours inventing new gadgets.
- Detective skills: The way of the detective is to study not just the evidence left behind by criminals but also the criminals themselves, for in studying them and understanding them you learn how to catch them at their game. Lonnie is in truth one of the best detectives alive, though is eclipsed by Batman who still holds the mantle for greatest detective. He doesn't study the methods of characters like Sherlock Holmes, no. Lonnie studies the methodology of the greatest detective of all time - Batman.
- Disguise: Lonnie is a master of disguise and with his enhanced brain can "become" a person if he needs to be them to further his goal. Simply making yourself look like someone else is one thing, but it is another thing to act and talk like someone else. Lonnie has learned and mastered this skill effortlessly.
- Research Hound: Simply put, Anarky is the leading authority on gathering data on virtually anything either in a library, the internet, no matter how obscure and knows how to find it fast. This does not end with mere data, he can also gather information by surveying people from a far to learn their strengthes and weaknesses. In gathering informaiton, Anarky is superior to Batman (though is by no means a better detective), to the question, and superior to the Oracle as long as she's not behind a computer.
- Scientific expert: It is only fitting that a boy with a superhuman intellect be good at science. While he does not excell in a single field, he is well rounded in all fields.
- Hacking: Lonnie is a master at operating computers. From the most ancient box, to cutting edge and state of the art super computers. His programming skills even went into designing his own A.I, one of the most powerful A.I on the planet, next to Scarlette's TAK. If anything is a testomony to his ability as a hacker, Lonnie was able to hack into Batman's supercomputer, and also hack into the Watchtower's systems before Oracle beefed them up.
Strength Level: Peak Human
Weaknesses:
- Code of Honor: While a good quality to have, it can also be a strong weakness when used against him.
- Young at heart: Even though he acts older then he should, Lonnie is still young at heart and likes loud music, fast cars, and sleeping in late. This also includes being short sighted at times.
- Temper: This can also be a problem as already mentioned.
- The unexpected: He man overplan for everything, but if something not planned for happens, it will completely throw a monkey wrench into his plans.
- Single style masters: Anarky's unique fighting style can take down any untrained opponent, it can even let him stand on even footing with some opponents, but if one excells in a single style of combat, Lonnie is beat.
- Humanity: Lonnie when boiled right down is still human and still bleeds, cries, and feels pain like anyone else.

- MAX (Brave and the Bold)
[/li][/ul]
