At this point in time (I’m following, at the least, the introduction to the New-52 Green Arrow on-going), Ollie’s been settled into his role as Green Arrow for the past six years (counting one year on his own, and then his brief appearance in the Justice League, trying to obtain membership).

Introduction
- Haley’s Circus is in town, on their normal leg of their American tour.
- As Oliver Queen, a donation of ten-thousand dollars has been made to aid in keeping them afloat. Jack’s aware of this anonymous donation and, despite Queen’s protest, is holding the opening show of the tour, in Seattle, in Queen’s honour.
- The reason for this ‘donation’ was an excuse to get a closer look at one of his newest acts, an enigmatic archer that boasts he’s the ‘greatest known archer,’ named “Merlyn the Magnificent.”
Main Points
- Lately, Ollie’s had a serious issue regarding the Dark Arrows--their former claim to benefit others, the “99%”, has been disregarded almost entirely at this point to steal from any upscale exhibits, benefits, or fundraisers.
- Queen’s donation to Haley’s, and the possibility of realizing that others may follow in his footsteps, allows for a set-up of the Dark Arrows possibly stealing from Haley’s, to get their hands on the various charities that have assisted in garnering money to keep this circus afloat.
- Merlyn’s right-hand woman, Bunny, an affluent “from the streets” blond bombshell, makes her move on Oliver Queen. If she can manage to seduce him, and sink her proverbial claws into him, then it’s entirely plausible that she and the Dark Arrows can make off with his fortune, and leave him behind. Dead, if necessary.
- Hopefully, he’ll make it out of this relatively unscathed. The rampant failures, both romantically and otherwise, and, though it’s unbeknownst (aside from tabloids), his corporation’s currently under contract by Emerson, trying to seize control.
Finally
- It’s going to be revealed that, in reality, the Dark Arrows are nothing more than patsies in a much grander scheme.
- Merlyn’s revealed to be a former member of “Team 7”--a now defunct special ops team, burned by the government--that has transferred into corporate espionage. His particular brand of ‘espionage’ leads to more spilled blood than most care to admit to.
- Merlyn, on the last leg of the tour, joined the staple of Haley’s, recognizing it to be the more simple mode of travel, and the more amusing circuit, utilizing his ‘talents’ as an archer to fit the mold of the ring-top.
- The Dark Arrows, upon discovering their role in this scheme, make a turn on their leader, realizing that Green Arrow’s place in Seattle is much more noble than.
