Marital Status: Single
Alignment: Hero
Affiliation(s): None yet
Characteristics
Height:Mary Bromfield: 5'8" Mary Marvel 6'1"
Weight: 130 lbs / 145 lbs

Hair: Dark brown
Character Type: Human/meta human
Description: See the picture for an accurate description. Mary Bromfield is rich but tomboyish, athletic and attractive. She plays on her high school's varsity basketball team and stays active. Mary Marvel is about the same with a few differences. Obviously looking older as Mary Marvel, she resembles her deceased birth mother and is even more beautiful than Mary Bromfield.
Personality
Having had the power for 3 years now, She is more mature than her brother and she tends to have a relatively short fuse in dealing with the ignorance of others at times, especially the other 2 Marvels. How they sometimes fail to fully grasp their gift of god given wisdom is beyond her. Recently however, Mary has struck out on her own while in costume, wanting to try and carve her own niche in the world and prove she can make it without riding the other 2 Marvel's capes Not quite the naive teen she was when she first gained the power of Shazam, she has done some growing up. Al ot of it.
That's not to say that Mary doesn't know how to let her hair down. She does have a goofy side and a well developed sense of humor. She enjoys having fun as much as the next person. She is an intelligent young woman and hates seeing others suffer.
Packing a big heart in or out of costume, Mary is the trusting type. Some would say almost too trusting. She is loyal and will always bend over backwards to do what she can to help those less fortunate even without her costume on. And if (figuratively speaking) the need for the shirt off her back is required, the only question she'd ask first is what size do you wear?
Being out on her own now has helped Mary, or maybe it would be best not to describe it as a help, but in any case she doesn't look at the world through rose colored glasses much anymore. She does try to stay optimistic but has lived enough of life's experiences to realize the world isn't quite as black & white as some people think. Her free time is spent more in the presence of guy's than it used to be and though she is looking for the one she can call "Mr. Right, she still does have her own set of morals, they like her have just matured some.
Child abuse, cruelty to animals and those less fortunate are among her biggest pet peeves. The great outdoors, sports and sailing the open water are among her likes and pastimes. However the heroine does have an underlying dark side that she isn't even fully aware of while in Mary Marvel form. A darkness belied beneath resentment and anger over the death of her birth parents that lingers and that will someday, perhaps sooner than she realizes, have the scab ripped open and exposed pushing her toward the brink of insanity.
History
Mary Batson's early childhood was often spent with her brother as a latch-key kid, as her parents, as the archaeologists they were, were almost always off on one expedition or another. That was until They had come home from their latest trip for some quality bonding time as a family. It was shortly after Mary's 5th birthday when as a gift to the young girl and after caving in to Mary's pleadings they decided to take Mary along on an expedition to Egypt. They had originally planned to take Billy too but his grades were lacking at the time and decided he needed to stay at home with a sitter to focus on schooling.
During the expedition, tragedy struck when a member of the C.C. Batson's traveling party, Theo Adam, savagely turned on both he and Marilyn Batson and murdered them both in cold blood. After kidnapping Mary, Adam returned to the U.S. where she was taken care of briefly by Adam's sister Sarah Primm who then arranged for Mary to be adopted by wealthy couple Nick & Nora Bromfield. As Mary Bromfield, the young girl grew up living a near perfect life in a wealthy family in Fairfield, a small suburb of a bigger city known as Fawcett, which sit on the northern border of Indiana, not far from Gary. Despite her fairy tale existence however, Mary repeatedly spent night after night dreaming of the day she might hopefully be reunited with her brother.
Years later, with the memories of her brother and images of what he looked like becoming nearly invisible traces, Mary made it to the regional round of a spelling bee being held in Fawcett City. It was there that Mary finally became reunited with her long lost brother, although that fact as well of his secret identity were both things she was still unaware of. Not long after that Mary was kidnapped by some rather shiftless racketeers who had tried to force her adopted father to "play ball" in accordance with a business dealing or two and retaliated viciously when Nick Bromfield refused. Fortunately she was rescued by Captain Marvel who by then had realized the resemblance between Mary Bromfield and Mary Batson. After doing some investigating Billy discovered, thanks to an undercover cop that Sarah Primm had illegally forged Mary's adoption papers, unknowingly to the Bromfields to protect her from Adam.
Captain Marvel then flew out to Fairfield to present Mary with the forged papers but after changing back to Billy, was captured by the crooks who helped Primm forge the papers. Mary soon discovered the package that Billy dropped containing the papers and her old Tawky Tawny doll. Not having seen Billy and with no inkling he was in trouble, she opens the package and to her amazement the doll comes to life, informs her of Billy's predicament and instructs Mary to say the word Shazam. She does so and for the first time is transformed into Mary Marvel who, in resemblance, is an adult super powered heroine in the spitting image of her deceased mother.
After rescuing Billy and learning his secret, the rest as they say is history. Mary returns back home to the Bromfields who eventually make not only Mary's adoption legal but legally adopt Billy also, after moving out of Fairfield and closer to the heart of Fawcett City. It was there in Fawcett City that she would soon meet a crippled, newspaper selling teen named Freddy Freeman. After taking him to the Wizard Shazam, Mary and Billy both share their powers with him to save his life, allowing him to be christened Captain Marvel Junior. For the next several years through thick and thin and with all the ups and downs they were a team. More than a team they are a family...The Marvel Family. After working exclusively (for the most part) with Cap and CM3 for 2 years, Mary has in the last year struck out on her own and now fights crime separately as well as with the other 2 Marvels
Powers and Abilities
Known Powers: Granted the powers of 6 ancient deities, Mary has only to speak a word comprised of the first letter of each of their names to be granted the powers of the gods themselves. the 6 different power sources flow like a river and are channeled as one through magic. The 6 deities and the powers they empower her with can be broken down as follows.
S for the Wisdom of Solomon: As Mary Marvel, Mary has instant access to a vast amount of scholarly knowledge. The wisdom of Solomon also gives her clairvoyance and provides her with counsel and advice in times of need. She has knowledge of all languages, ancient and modern, and could hypnotize people also, although thus far never having chosen to use that ability.
H for the Strength of Hercules: Dubbed "The Maid of Might" Mary Marvel has incredible amounts of super strength, is strong enough to lift at least 100 tons , is able to effortlessly bend steel, punch through walls, and lift massive objects. Marvel's strength, equal to her brother's, is enough that she can fight beings such as Superman or Wonder Woman to a standstill. Mary (alongside the other Marvels and Black Adam) is considered as one of the strongest physical powerhouses on Earth, matched only by the Man of Steel himself.
A for the Stamina of Atlas: Using Atlas' endurance, Mary Marvel can withstand and survive most types of extreme physical assaults.
Z for the Power of Zeus: Zeus' power, besides fueling the magic thunderbolt that transforms Mary Marvel, also enhances Mary's other physical abilities, provides physical invulnerability and resistance against most magic spells and attacks, and allows for inter-dimensional travel. Marvel can use the lightning bolt as a weapon by dodging it and allowing it to strike an opponent or target. The magical lightning has many uses, including creating apparatus, restoring damage done to Marvel, or acting as fuel for magical spells.
A for the Courage of Achilles: Like the wisdom, this aspect is primarily psychological, and gives Marvel superhuman amounts of inner strength from which to draw.
M for the Speed of Mercury: By channeling Mercury's speed, Mary Marvel, while not as fast as the flash, can fly and move at speeds exceeding Mach 10 (2 miles a second) while in earth's atmosphere and at near-light speeds while in space. Hermes Trismegistus (Greek for "thrice-great Hermes"), an occultist aspect of Hermes/Mercury, also gives her the ability to wield magic and cast spells, though she has never used this as Mary Marvel, for lack of necessity.
Known Abilities: She is quite intelligent and loves the outdoors. Is adept at workinjg with animals and the like. Is also excellently skilled with computers though not on Oracle's level.
Strength Level: She can lift approximately 100 tons
Weaknesses: Superior magic. Also if she is in her normal form and is unable to speak the magic word, she can't transform. Also vulnerable to mental attacks...and vampires. >.> Her brother and CM3 share the power source so if two of them are using the power at the same time it is divided in half. If all 3 are using it at once, each only has a third of it. She also has a severe addiction to coffee in addition to dating people older than she is.

She seriously should have known. That much was certain when Mary Bromfield yanked open the office doors and saw Poison in it's most evil, natural form standing and straddling over the man who might well be a potential business partner, hopefully a temporary one if at all, but still. It seemed every time Mary Bromfield and Bromfield Enterprises had any kind of business inside Gotham City, the green skinned tree hugger was right behind her; hounding her and dogging her every move. The most perplexing question about it all was Why? Why does Ivy have such a hard on to screw up my life and kill every piece of business I try to conduct that has any connection at all with this city? Yeah, I know her rep makes her one of the top villains in this town but why me?
Outside the still open doors of the office the secretary as well as a few other employees were threatening to crap on themselves with fear. One even tried calling the police while the rest just screamed their useless heads off. Mary Bromfield however managed quite well to keep her cool & maintain composure, slowly starting to circle the woman and bracing herself just in case she tried something. On Mary's plus side was the fact that as far as she knew, Ivy had no idea who she was really dealing with. As far as Mary Bromfield was aware of , Ivy only thought of her as a troublemaking C.E.O. of a major company. If Ivy had no idea that underneath Mary's business suit beat the heart of an amazon warrior and underneath that beat the heart of a woman with the power of the gods on her side then Mary would have the element of surprise in her hip pocket. Of course she had been wrong before but right now she was still convinced her secrets were safe and her bases were all covered. The long sleeves of her suit coat kept her bracelets well hidden. Mary was [proud of her Amazon heritage and made no attempts to ever deny it but it wasn't common knowledge either.
"Any business I may or may not have with him is no business of yours, Ivy." She let out a long sigh of frustration, trying to position herself into a better stance to reach out and grab the man to pull him to safety. Mary would agree that a cold hard slap across the face or a good swift kick in the butt would be what the man needed but she certainly didn't want to see him die. "There'll be noone dying at your hands today. Consider that a promise, and while we're on speaking terms..." Her eyes narrowed while she further braced herself for the inevitable. "What exactly is this strange fascination you seem to have in following me from place to place and trying to wreck what I have worked for. What's your major malfunction?"

- Superhuman Knowledge: Mary Marvel has exceptional photographic recall and mental acuity allowing her to read and decipher hieroglyphics, recall everything she has ever learned, solve long mathematical equations instantaneously and make intuitive guesses based on limited data to the point her guesses are almost always correct.
- Clairvoyance: an uncanny awareness of her circumstances that allows her to turn disadvantages into advantages, an understanding of divine interactions with the mortal world.
- Omni-lingual
- Hypnosis: can occasionally hypnotize people as well, through this power.
H for the Strength of Hercules: Dubbed "The Maid of Might" Mary Marvel has incredible amounts of super strength, is strong enough to lift at least 100 tons , is able to effortlessly bend steel, punch through walls, and lift massive objects. Mary (alongside the other Marvels and Black Adam) is considered as one of the strongest physical powerhouses on Earth, matched only by the Man of Steel himself.
- Superhuman Strength: Olympian flesh and bone is about three times as dense as similar human tissue, contributing to the Olympians' superhuman strength and weight.
A for the Stamina of Atlas: Using Atlas' endurance, Mary Marvel can withstand and survive most types of extreme physical assaults.
- Superhuman Stamina: Her Olympian metabolism provides her with far greater than human endurance in all physical activities.
Z for the Power of Zeus: Zeus' power, besides fueling the magic thunderbolt that transforms Mary Marvel, also enhances Mary's other physical abilities, provides physical invulnerability and resistance against most magic spells and attacks, and allows for inter-dimensional travel. It would take an injury of such magnitude that it dispersed a major portion of his bodily molecules to cause her a physical death. Even then, it might be possible for a god of significant power, such as Zeus, Poseidon and Apollo or for a number of Olympian gods of equal power working together to revive her.
- Superhuman Inner Strength: She is always supported by an innate and harmonious presence of good will and strength of perseverance in that she never backs down from a challenge.

- Super Speed: She can move at incredible speeds, possibly equal to Superman. She can move fast enough to not register in the normal peripheral range of humans and seemingly vanish and disappear at will. At this speed, her mind processes information on par to a computer or at least on a subliminal level that she is aware of her surroundings.
- Flight: Mary Marvel can also mystically fly through the atmosphere through sure act of will, enabling her to soar through the atmosphere at sub-orbital levels and travel across the planet. She is immune from the effects of extreme height, such as dizziness and lightheadedness. With effort, she can travel from the earth to the moon, but requires extra-precautionary paraphernalia for interstellar travel. Thanks to the power of Mercury Marvel can fly at close to light speed through space.
- Sorcery: unused much by her but allowing for the ability to wield magics and cast spells
