Basic Information:
Real name: Kim Chun He
Current Alias: Talon, the Talon
Gender: Female
Age: Looks 21, Real Age Unverified
Occupation: Assassin
Marital Status: Single
Alignment: Bad
Affiliation(s): the Court of Owls
Characteristics
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 115 lbs
Eyes: Amber
Hair: Black
Character Type: Human
Description: Chun He is of Korean descent and as such possesses a rather small frame. She is small and lithe, with a generous figure and milky white complexion. She has luminous amber colored eyes that are in stark contrast to her - little past - shoulder length raven, black hair. In combat, Chun He moves in a weird way - too fast, too strong, yet too stilted. She also seems too small and way too thin in relation to what she does, and her brusque moves are unnatural and stylized, like in some Japanese theater styles. This strangeness is lost on most opponents, however, who will see Chun He mostly as a black blur.
Personality
The methods in which the Haly’s Circus children were brought up present an interesting take on the nature vs. nurture argument. Where some children survive the brutal upbringing by their trainers with their conscience intact, Chun He did not. In its place, there seems to exist only a young woman with extreme socipathic (if not psychopathic) tendencies. Coming from a childhood of love and compassion and having that torn away from her has greatly confused Chun He. Because of this, she is very awkward in understanding relationships and the different levels that each can possess.
Her misunderstanding also makes her a social chameleon. She is never stable and changes to fit the mood, locale, or situation. Therefore, her personality is rather hard to distinguish as she tends to be many people at many different times. She doesn’t understand the simple concept of “individualism” and certainly doesn’t understand what it means to be unique.
Curious enough, the most consistent characteristic of Chun He is her killer instinct. She enjoys her line of work and enjoys the chase more than the kill itself. Often times she will lead a chase or become very taunting to savour each moment of combat until it accumulates to the actual assassination itself. If there is anything, Chun He understands killing more than anything else and this misdirected knowledge has brought her to love the thrill of the hunt. Since performing assassinations have been the only thing in her life to provide positive feedback, Chun He has become a perfectionist in the art. Constantly pushing herself to succeed and outperform just to receive the highest commendations. She has no compassion for her hits or targets, no matter what age, sex, or social standing. Chun He has developed a method of separating herself so far from others that she views people as dogs rather than actual human beings.
History
Kim Chun He was born into a loving and caring world in the embrace of her parents. Her parents were famous acrobats in Korea, well renowned across Asia for their seemingly supernatural feats. Naturaly, Chun He grew up in this environment and as such picked up the acrobatic prowess and skills of her parents. The family performed together across the world, Chun He being the sole heir to their family name and prestige. Of course, she lived a happy life, but that all changed once Haly’s Circus came rolling into town.
Straight from the states, Haly’s Circus had a special tour around Asia when Chun He was about six years old. When they arrived in Korea, they personally invited the Acrobatic Kims to perform in their event. Graciously accepting the offer, Chun He and her family joined the circus act, even having their own trailer to travel in with the circus as they toured across Korea.
It seemed like things were going well for the Kim’s and her family was hopefully this this exposure would give them more opportunities and money to put Chun He into good schools. This way their daughter could live a normal life and grow out of the circus act.
Those dreams were quickly short lived however. During a stay in Busan when Chun He was playing off the circus grounds she returned to her family’s trailer to find it set in a fiery blaze. She made a stupid attempt to enter the trailer to answer the calls of her screaming parents, but was quickly stopped by the circus master who informed her that her parents were already lost. Chun He lost her parents that night, and at the same time a part of Chun He was lost as well.
The circus master of Haly’s Circus took pity on the young Chun He and was completely marveled at her acrobatic skills for someone of her age. He took her in and Chun He having no where else to go and realistically not much choice was adopted into the circus where she met other children who had suffered the same unfortunate fate as her. The circus master of course had ulterior motives and upon their landing in America, Chun He was inaugurated into the Court of Owls as a Talon and her intense training began.
From the start Chun He had an advantage over the other children, her acrobatic skills were far above the others and the Court took notice of this. They placed her in the higher ranks of the talons, putting her through more intensive training and really working to make Chun He one of the best for the service of the Court. Through her training, like every other Talon, Chun He experienced a huge lose in humanity and whatever remnants of good memories she had were broken from her so that she could be built up again to the Court’s idea of perfection.
This continued for a very long time, until one day, Chun He was completely transformed into a Talon. The day of her death marked the day of Chun He’s revival as a Talon. Killed by the Court and then injected with a special compound to her cells, Chun He’s body was preserved and remade. She was also given a special tooth within her body that when activated would bring her back to life so she might perform the Court’s bidding when they pleased.
She was awakened in the year 1975 to perform an assassination on Gotham City’s mayor whose new laws were a threat to the Court of Owl’s. She performed successfully, but even so was put back to sleep after her mission was complete.
Chun He has been asleep for a very long time since her last mission, and now is reawakened by the Court of Owls with the world set in their sights.
Powers and Abilities
Known Powers:
[/li][li]Resurrection: Through special “tooths” in each talon, the Court is able to send special signals through their bodies, awakening every cell and bringing them back to life. A talon never truly dies unless severely killed in battle. When the are killed during their line of work, the Court usually collects their body and puts them back to sleep. When they choose to, the Court reawakens their Talons so that they can do their bidding.
[/li][/ul]
Known Abilities:
[/li][li]Unarmed Combat: Chun He has become skilled in most forms of fighting known in the world. Because of this knowledge she can adapt to different methods of fight in short notice or change her style unknowingly to her opponent. She’s extremely versatile and with just her fists and legs can cause some serious damage to anyone that opposes her. Being a Talon from the Court of Owls, Chun He has only had the best in the world train her and as such performs on the same level. Having honed her skills since a very young age, she had much room for progression and perfection.
[/li][li]Marksmanship: The activity in Chun He’s brain center for aim, accuracy and precision is so enhanced that she only needs to aim for just an instant before hitting a target with a weapon or blow. She can judge long and great distances with amazing accuracy and can gauge the strength required to launch a projectile to hit her target accurately. Because of her precision, Chun He is resistant to perception-distorting abilities such as illumination emission or if a target is moving, she can calculate the best method to hit it. This is not an ability that Chun He was born with, but rather through years of training has honed her ability for precision and accuracy.
[/li][li]Swordsmanship: Blades are a favorite of the Court of Owls and as such, Chun He demonstrates a natural aptitude for the ways of the sword, or any blade as a matter of fact. She is able to wield a sword, knife or dagger with great proficiency in speed, power, and skill, allowing her to perform with little or not effort and deliver skillfull strikes to weak points with great precision. As a personal preference, Chun He prefers to use a dual wield art in blade fighting.
[/li][li]Acrobatics: Through years of intensive training and conditioning, Chun ’Hes small physique is able to perform feats that world renowned gymnastics are known for. Swift, agile and graceful, Chun He is able to assimilate her aesthetic movements with her fighting style enabling her an upper hand in not only style but in movement on the battle field. Capable of performing one handed, or even no handed back flips, vaults, free falls, and twists and turns throughout the air, Chun He can move with style and grace.
[/li][li]Escape Artist: With the aid of her flexibility, Chun He is capable of easily wriggling out of any binds, breaking through any fetters or otherwise, escaping captivity with relative ease. Additionally, she can stealthy getaway without causing an interference or silently escape without alerting her captives. She’s also skilled in the way of the shadows and can utilize them in such a way that when she runs into them she seemingly vanishes form the scene.
[/li][li]Athletic: Through years of training Chun He’s body is perfectly conditioned for the work that she performs. This entails the usage of her stamina, personal durability, strength and speed. She's strong, fast, and resilient for such a small looking young woman. But nevertheless despite looks, her body is perfectly toned, every itch of what would be fat is complete muscle. From well toned abs to nicely chiseled legs and arms, Chun He is an athlete, but a fighter first.
[/li][li]Ambidextrous: Becoming a skilled martial artists takes more than just being able to do the right moves. It also demands that you be able to perform with every part of your body and that includes the non dominant parts. As a child, she has been trained to be able to use both arms, and both legs that way if one should fail then she had the other to use. Being unable to use an arm or a leg was an unacceptable reason to lose, let alone fail in a fight.
[/li][li]Tracking: As part of her line of work, Chun He is an extremely skilled tracking, ranging from long to short range tracking. She can track others down easily though various means, ranging from scents to footprints. With her experience, she can even follow tracks that are days or even weeks old. Chun He is also able to reconstruct what has happened by sniffing around the area that she is searching.
[/li][li]Intelligence: Living for so many years and having the absolute best at her disposal, Chun He is capable of using her brain more efficiently. She is capable of performing various fears of mind comparable to computers: remembering complex calculations or performing complex problem solving, understanding highly advanced ideas, and other similar tasks. This use of the mind was as important skill to build so that the Talons could learn a variety of combat skills in a day, that way they would not waste years to achieve mastery.
[/li][/ul]
Strength Level: Chun He possesses peak human strength for someone her age, weight, height and size.
Weaknesses:
[/li][li]Severe Death: While Talons never truly die, Chun He and any other Talon are subject to severe death where even they cannot be resurrected. Such a death would include decapitation or massive head or spinal trauma that completely severs the brain’s link with the rest of the body.
[/li][li]Court of Owls: The Court of Owls have complete control of the Talons, dictating their every move and when they are granted life and death. Should Chun He fail a mission or fall in battle, the Court can orchestrate her death and thereby cause her to be asleep until they see fit that she is required.
[/li][li]Humanity: In the rare instances where Chun He is reminded that she is a human and that everyone she interacts with is human, she becomes confused or mentally scattered to the point where she cannot think or function appropriately. She is aware of a life she had before she became a Talon and the memories of it haunt her everyday. The death of her parents, unbeknownst to her was a purposeful act of the Court and if Chun He were to ever find that out, she would possibly turn sides. [/li][/ul]

History
Beware the Court of Owls that watches all the time,
ruling Gotham from a shadow perch, behind granite and lime,
They watch you at your hearth, they watch you in your bed,
speak not a whispered word of them or they'll send the talon for your head.
