Real name: Tora Olafsdotter
Current Alias: Ice
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Occupation: Superhero, Norwegian princess, model
Marital Status: Single
Alignment: Lawful good
Affiliation(s): JLA/JLI
Characteristics
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 136 Lbs
Eyes: Blue
Hair: White
Character Type:Demi ice goddess
Description: Quite attractive, coerced into modeling by her best friend Bea although Tora herself doesn't understand why. She considers herself beautiful but not gorgeous although many would disagree with her self-assesment. Fair skinned, well complexioned. Although she is a princess and born into a royal Norwegian family she loves to dress casual more than anything, preferes a warm hoodie or sweatpants and shirt whenever lounging around, which is quite often when she isn't out trying to save the world. Tora is very much a couch potato, perhaps a wallflower also and one can tell by looking at her.
Personality
Sweet and naive, caring and giving, generous and has a big heart, that's Tora although her emeral haired best friend has worked hard to instill a naughty side to the lady and she hasn't totally failed. The influence of both Bea and Guy Gardner can be evident if one looks deep enough below the surface. Most of the time she can be described as calm , cool and pleasant to get along with. Most things are sunny side up. On the rare occasion that her buttons are pushed and she gets riled however? Hell hath no fury like an ice prin cess * demi-goddess scorned. She'll always have her frind's and teammate's back and will bend over backwards to aid those less fortunate even if she isn't aware she might be taken advantage of. Blame her naivete for that.
History
The princess of an isolated tribe of magic-wielding Norsemen, Tora's parents and brother are Romanifolket, and her grandfather was the head of a small sect of Romanifolket known as the Is Bygd. Tora was trained to stay calm in order to control her metahuman abilities to create and manipulate ice, to ensure that her grandfather (from whom Tora's parents sought to hide their daughter) could not find her and force her to use her power to keep control over the other Bygd residents. Eventually Tora's grandfather tracked his family down and after seeing her father being beaten she lost control causing the death of several, among them her own father.
It was this event, which she repressed due to the dissociative trauma tied to her accidental patricide, along with the result of the training to stay calm and her father's dying wish that she prevent herself from interacting violently with others that caused Tora's shy personality. It took years for her to find the courage to go public with her powers which led to her joining the Global Guardians as Norway's representative, replacing Icemaiden, Sigrid Nansen after they promised to protect her people, but after the Guardians' UN funding was withdrawn in the wake of the Justice League's reformation as the Justice League International, her friend Green Flame (later Fire) talked her into walking up to a JLI embassy and asking for a job. Remarkably, in the wake of Black Canary's resignation and the abduction of several members, the short-handed JLI took them on. As a kind of duo, her friend and she had changed their names from Green Flame and Icemaiden to Fire and Ice.
Ice served with the Justice League International for years (remaining with the American branch even after a European branch was opened), occasionally dated Green Lantern Guy Gardner and even expressed an open crush (albeit unrequited) on Superman after he joined the team. Ice was even present at Superman's unfortunate death. She was one of the few Justice leaguers still standing after Doomsday, Superman's killer, had torn through the team. Her fate caught up with her and she was killed by the Overmaster while under his mental influence. Before her untimely death, Ice displayed enhanced powers. This was after a battle with her brother, who had tried to conquer Ice's homeland.
The Birds of Prey, Barbara Gordon's team, on mission in Azerbaijan, discovers Ice unconscious within a Rocket Red exosuit which they wrest from the possession of an underworld figure, Kerimov. With Kerimov hiring the Secret Six to transport the exosuit, the Birds of Prey and Secret Six would come to blows after Big Barda and Huntress capture it. Kerimov plans to use "the resurrection of a goddess" to manipulate the Russian people by playing on their superstitions about "ice princesses", and to use her great power to make himself a powerful ruler. Creote awakens the lifeless Tora. However, an enraged Ice unleashes her wrath upon both the Birds of Prey and Catman's Secret Six; she seeks to avenge her own murder. Huntress' mention of Guy Gardner in addition to a hard slap brings Ice back to her senses, while Deadshot dispatches Kerimov (who, as her savior, retained some influence over Tora). Eventually, Ice leaves the country in the company of the Birds of Prey. She later meets up with Fire at a facility belonging to the United Nations-affiliated intelligence service Checkmate, as they talk about old times and try to catch up on the current ones.
Although Ice is in the care of Fire and Checkmate, she has ventured out on occasion, helping Earth's heroes during the Sinestro Corps War. In the aftermath of the war, she decides to ice up Times Square in order to provide temporary fun for local children. There, Guy Gardner surprises her with a public kiss. She quickly rebukes his advances, indicating she needs more time. Guy agrees, then swiftly sets up a date for one month from that point. Later Guy blames Bea for Tora's refusal to accept a cohabitation on Oa.
Ice is recruited as part of a massive group of superheroes tasked with hunting down the JLI's founder and Ted Kord's murderer, Maxwell Lord. During an encounter with Max at the Justice League's former New York headquarters, Ice is rendered unconscious alongside Fire, Booster Gold, and Captain Atom. The former Justice League members awake to discover that Lord has used his mental abilities to erase his existence from the minds of every single human on the planet, save for those present at the embassy. and the others.[12] After trying to talk to Guy and tell him what has transpired, Tora discovers that Max has mentally influenced the world into believing that she had attempted to murder Guy shortly after the events of Blackest Night, thus ruining any credibility she has.[13]
Not long afterwards, Ice, Fire and a new Rocket Red arrive at a robotics labs only to be confronted by the Metal Men, who are being controlled by Professor Ivo. Ice loses control after nearly being beaten to death, causing her costume to become ripped and turning her skin and hair into living ice. Ice nearly kills the entire team, but as the repressed memories involving the truth about her origins began unlocking themselves and overwhelming Tora, she began calming down as she remembers her father's dying wish. After Ice returns to normal she becomes sorrowful when she realizes what she had done. Later, she explains to Fire about her origin and it is also revealed she and Guy are dating again though the extent of their relationship has not been made public as yet.
Powers and Abilities
Known Powers: Ice can, at will, project in various forms quantities of ice and snow through her hands just enough to down an opponent. She can create platforms of ice upon which she can skate. Before her initial demise, she was powered-up mysteriously (later revealed to be the result of the Overmaster). She was able to generate larger amounts of ice and snow, and gained super strength and the ability to fly. After her resurrection in Birds of Prey, Ice's powers seem incredibly destructive, expelling people from the building she's in as she awakens with bright white eyes, and conjuring a massive icy figure before her as well as controlling the weather to some degree, by causing the beginning of a blizzard far stronger than those known in that area and although her strength is nowhere near as the powerhouses, Ice has been shown to bend steel with her bare hands after her exposure to the Overmaster's powers. Her resurrection has seemed to make her even stronger than before. She's no Wonder Woman or Superman but she can hold her own long enough to survive an epic supervillain battle.
Known Abilities: Ice is also an above average hand-to-hand combatant, very intelligent and a diplomat as a royal princess. She knows plenty about politics.
Strength Level: Meta-Human
Weaknesses: Despite her ice magic and abilities she can still be hurt like most normal humans if caught unprepared, meaning she can be shot, injured, etc like anyone else if she isn't able to defend hersdelf with her powers in time. She also is susceptible to mental attacks and her ice powers can only be used for so long before she needs the rest top recharge them. Her naivete' has at times allowed her to be taken advantage of also.

A good hour, give or take a few ticks of the Timex, before sunrise. The streets still had traffic but it was surprisingly scarce for New York City even at this time of morning. Not that the white haired demi-goddess, Norwegian princess turned Valkyrie and superheroine shrouded by a hoodie pulled down tightly to conceal her face would complain, mind you. That wind that blew across the dirty streets carrying along newspaper deliveries and other early morning tires with occupants, sparse as the traffic is on this morning, still seemed to be in a mad rush as though their beloved butt cheeks were all on fire to coin a phrase.
Some things never change. Even before she died the constant need to burn a candle at both ends never made sense to the 24 year old, single, white female that was now more tanned than she used to be although her best friend would take issue with the remark but burning a candle at both ends. Look up the word burn in the dictionary and bam! There it will be, the image of one former Brazilian model turned government agent. Beatriz Bonilla DaCosta herself. They say planet Earth makes a complete rotation on it's axis once every 24 hours. To this young woman however, if one would take the time to ask her opinion, it has been spinning the wrong way ever since she saw the light of day for the second time.
You'll love the training Tora. And you'll thank me for it later. Tora waxed sarcastically with her indoor voice resounding on the inside. Yes. Thanks alot, Brunn.
She actually loved the training, don't get the princess wrong. It was exhilarating, character building and probably about 50 other redundant cliches. She was a trained Valkyrie. Stronger now than before. Trained in the art and many faceted types of combat like never before. Everything was perfect now. Or so she'd been told. She'd been given magnificent weapons to have at her disposal. Then why do I feel more lost now than before I died. Why was I not left where I was? Brunnhilde has vanished on me. Bea and I have both been so busy lately we've barely made contact. I seem to have less idea of what my purpose is now than I ever have. Gods, why am I here?" She muttered, forgetting herself during a walk that became a jog before she was even consciously aware then stopped completely when she stopped to retie her left show, resting her hand against a light post that now lay toppled after she forgot herself and leaned against her as a brace only long enough to send it crashing down.
By the mercy of Odin she not only had increased strength however but speed as well, easily catching it before it fell atop the nearest pedestrian, then made her way onward after using a little ice magic to keep the damn fool thing propped up until a repair job could be done.
Less than 5 minutes later she was off again, her course toward a 24 hour, all you can eat diner being quickened in hopes she'd make it inside before the morning got worse. Shutting the door behind her just as the clouds above began to rumble to indicate she'd beaten out the forecasted rainfall. Her eyes lit up and a smile crossed her lips for the first time in 20 hours at least while she scooted into a booth and ordered a cup of hot tea, perusing the menu immediately afterwards with random glances out the window,
