Crouching on the edge of the roof, the grey-furred young man scowled and half-closed his eyes for a few seconds, watching the people out and about on the street below in silence before he suddenly stood up, then slowly turned and stepped down onto the main part of the roof.
Where were the others? Where was he? The last thing he remembered was the trip home, the wormhole taking them back in time suddenly crackling with a burst of energy, some of it hitting him, then he had woken up on this roof-top, alone. Something had gone wrong.
The fact nothing and no-one familiar was in the vicinity and the lack of any kind of answers on what exactly had happened was starting to seriously annoy him and he winced, suddenly holding his head in his hands as his muscles started to bulge and a growl slipped out, tiny veins now visible in his eyes then he winced and took a deep breath, the fingers of one hand lightly resting on his forehead like he had a headache.
After remaining in that position for a moment or two, Brin straightened up fully, closing his eyes and taking a couple of deep breaths as he shoved the other side of him back down with all his mental strength. That done, he lowered his hand, his ears flicking backwards slightly as he moved to rest both hands, now in fists, on the edge of the roof and continued people-watching.

The strange growl had caught her attention, but not what perked her interest was the way this boy er alien was dressed, he seemed to be wearing clothes she’d never seen before and she couldn’t say she was shocked by his appearance that would just be calling the kettle black and utterly rude of her. It wouldn’t be right for her to do that. As she twisted her body and circled around a couple times high above the boy well up enough he wouldn’t be able to see her. She merely watched him wondering what he was doing, people watching that seemed odd…but she’d done that too when she’d first come here.
Kara was still getting used to way things worked but she was getting more comfortable and some words and public apologizes from her cousin Kol-El and things were, they were alright, not great but better than they had been. The people of this planet no longer tried to shoot her down at first sight and she was on a better relationship with Wonder Woman or Diana as she offered for a better name basis.
As she moved her body slowly allowing herself to lower her boots to the roof several feet behind him, she hovered just before touching down completely, she felt it gave her a bit of an otherworldly appearance and maybe a bit of an edge. Her red cap blew behind her and she heard it catch the wind, her powers still acted up but she was getting better at controlling them now instead of the other way around it was a nice change one she wanted more then she’d realized, once it started to get easier.
“Who are you?” She gasped to herself at her own stupidity and covered her mouth with her pale, long, slender fingers before looking at him and uncovering her mouth and speaking. “I mean you look lost, can I help you?” she said quickly to cover her rudeness. Her cheeks heated and her long golden strands caught some of the wind and blew around her, as she watched him intently for any signs of his hostility, with her unique very blue eyes, and as she breathed inward, she felt her outfit stretch across her chest and draw attention to the insignia on her chest, on her outfit, no her costume, her crime fighting one.

By now Brin was leaning against the edge of the roof, bowing his head slightly as one hand came over to run through his hair and a light breeze pushed the white streak behind his ear to and fro slightly. Faces and voices flashed though his thoughts hard and fast! Garth, Imra, Brainiac-5, Chuck, Superman, Reep and poor Luornu. Were they still alright, would they be alright when they, and if didn't come into it, defeated Imperiex?
Suddenly his nostrils flared slightly as movement from behind him caught his attention, pulling him out of that train of thought and the feral teenager spun around, his gaze landing on the insignia on the new arrival's chest then a flicker of recognition flashed across his face. Quickly lowering his gaze, Brin stepped back and folded his arms over his chest, one ear flicking slightly like a biting insect had landed on it the only real sign of the slight curiosity he was feeling, he knew the insignia all too well but couldn't say the same about the wearer.
"I could ask you the same question and as you're offering to help I'm wondering where am I?" he replied quietly.

Kara wasn’t one that find people so, so odd or apprehensive about what they could or couldn’t do, but this kid, this kid had her strangely suspicious of him, of how he’d gotten here. But lately everything was new and people had just now stopped trying to take a shot at her every chance they got for merely being here, being who she was or rather not knowing anything and destroying cities. It was a nice change of pace to be looked at differently rather than as though you were going to hurt people. That was how they’d looked at her at first, but now it was different and she was actively trying to do better than that, to be better than what she was.
As she stood waiting listening as the boy asked for her who she was she frowned and countered quickly and rather immaturely. “I asked you first!” the words seemed to echo around the area and it was showing her age, age wise Kara was only seventeen, still a teenager. Still a child to some and she may have powers be able to fly and have super strength and things other teens didn’t but she was still young, still learning. Her cheeks heated and filled with a lovely pink color as she felt the color all to her ears. Way to be a hero Kara…really you totally went there [/color] Supergirl took a breath feeling the way her outfit stretched and moved with, she still couldn’t quite get used to it, but it was more like a second skin to her and it was all she had from her planet Krypton. “This is Metropolis” she told him her blue eyes watching him with rapid attention as she tried not to get distracted with the noise that was all around him. She slowly let her feet touch the roof and walk a little closer to him giving him a slow once over as her red boots made little clicks on the roof’s surface as she came a few steps closer, close enough that she could reach out her hand for him to shake or knock him over the edge if and only if it came to that. “I did ask you first, who are you?” [/blockquote]

Tearing his gaze away from the familiar insignia on her chest so not to give her the wrong impression, Brin studied Kara with slight curiosity. She seemed friendly enough but her counter was quick like she had spoken without thinking and gave a short dry chuckle. For one moment, she had reminded him of Lightning Lad.
Tearing his thoughts away from the friends, the family he wasn't sure if he'd ever see again, the young man latched onto Kara's question like he needed the distraction, glancing at her briefly as she suddenly blushed for reasons he wasn't sure about.
"Brin Londo" was the simple reply, then he muttered to himself "Metropolis? Then why does nothing look familiar"
That said, he eyed the new arrival as she landed and approached him, golden eyes following her every move as his ears twitched at the clicks her boots made.
Stepping back a bit until he was standing on the edge of the roof, he eyed her warily as the young woman was unfamiliar then added quietly "It's your turn. Who are you and why are you wearing...that insignia?"

“Kara Zor-El” she said confidently her lips pulling back to smile broadly, as she announced her birth name without a second though, that was Rookie mistake 101. As her words seemed to register into the blonde’s head at what she said, she immediately raised her arms and made an ‘x’ with them, and looked at him with a pleading blue eyes as the wind too her hair and blew it forward in front of her face and with a huff she shoved her fingers into the strands at her scalp and pulled them back.
“I mean I’m Supergirl” she told him dropping her hands at her side as she sighed and muttered a few choice words under her breath. “Great job Blondie” she muttered with a shake of her head as she looked at him with a heavy sigh, she couldn’t believe she’d made that mistake already Clark had warned her about several things and she’d already made her second one today and it seemed she was racking them up.
At his question on her insignia her family crest, she frowned and took two steps back and gave him a suspicious look, but he knew about the ‘S’ so maybe that means something. “It’s my family’s crest and to the people of this planet it means protection from Superman and myself…why do you want to know? Are you a villain?” she questioned her blue eyes flickering with a red glow for a moment as she glared at him, in suspicion. “Where are you from Mr. Londo?” she questioned, as she listened to the city below them, the chatter of citizen, the rumble of engines on cars and buses, taxis and motorcycles. She winced and closed her eyes for a moment before opening them not less than a second later, her eyes a clear blue and her fingers brushed against the top of her ears to try and get her to focus on something else, and she looked at Brin and started to do just that, to focus on Brin’s heart and breathing rate, and it centered her, centered her hearing on him as everything else because a dull little rumble, as she waited for him to talk.

Brin studied Supergirl in silence while she spoke, watching every one of her movements with a growing curiosity as her demeanor changed in the blink of an eye following the name exchangeas his ears came forward slightly. The sudden change in the name she gave and the whispered words that immediately came afterwards screaming that she hadn't meant to say the first name. Being a superhero himself, he kind of knew the value of a secret identity.
"Pleased to meet you. Don't worry. I'm not going to run and tell anyone"
As Kara spoke up again throwing out a couple of questions, the wolf-boy glanced at her and frowned thoughtfully as he considered his reply. A vague answer about which era he had come from couldn't hurt as long nothing too big was given away. Not like she had answered for information on his time's technology or how he knew the Superman insignia.
"No, I'm definately not a villain" the reply was quiet and Brin broke off for a moment, licking his upper lip slightly before continuing, a dry chuckle trying to hide how uncomfortable the formal title made him feel it reminded him of his father after all "The 31st century, and it's Brin if you don't mind"
