Real name: Connor Hawke Alter Ego: Green Arrow II Status Occupation: Adventurer / Landlord of an apartment complex in San Francisco Martial Status: Single Legal Status: U.S. citizen with no criminal record Group Affiliation(s): Formerly JLA Origin Place of Birth:Known Relatives: Oliver Queen (father), Moonday "Sandra" Hawke Armitage (mother), Nathan Hawke (grandfather), Shado's child (half-brother), Milo Armitage (step-Father), Robert Henry Queen (grandfather, deceased), Moira Queen (grandmother, deceased) History
Ollie Queen has had a lot of lovers over the years. But one dalliance would have consequences that would change the history of the legend of the Green Arrow forever. They were young and stupid, Oliver Queen and Sandra Hawke, and they didn't think of the consequences of their actions. Ollie moved on, but left something behind. Nine months after their thoughtless fling, Sandra 'Moonday' Hawke gave birth to a baby boy, and named him Connor. He was raised in wealth and privilege, Moonday being a famous actress and all, and he went to the best schools and had the best teachers. One particular activity he took to even as a young boy was martial arts, where his instructors were astounded by his aptitude. But Moonday was often gone on movie shoots, and therefore Connor was an exceedingly lonely child, deprived of the company of both of his parents, often going for weeks on end without so much as hearing his mother's voice over the phone. He was an exceedingly obedient child, though; Connor obeyed his mother's rules to the letter, even when she wasn't home, just to hear the faint words of praise he received for being such a 'good boy' upon her return. She never did really seem to notice him, though. But he kept trying, he was patient and steadfast. Like his hero: The Green Arrow. At night, he dreamed of meeting Green Arrow- Sometimes, he even got to be his sidekick, Speedy. Sometimes in one way or another, dreams do come true. When Moonday finally told her son who his father really was, Connor made a fateful decision. He would take up the bow, and become worthy to stand at his father's side. Green Arrow became more than a mere hero to Connor, once he found out that the Emerald Archer was his father; he became an obsession. Any little tidbit on Ollie that Connor could find was removed and saved, as it was the only way for Connor to get to know the father who seemed so far away. Eventually, Connor noticed that Green Arrow had spent time in a monastery in the Napa Valley, called the Ashram. Immediately, what he had to do was evident to the preteen boy. Moonday knew why her son wanted to go to the monastery. She had always known. And she hated it. She feared for her boy, feared for someone she truly did love very much. But she did it anyway. Say this for Moonday Hawke, there was little she could deny her son. But her performance of feigning disinterest was so good, Connor believes it to this very day. Connor leapt headfirst into the lifestyle touted at the Ashram - shaving his head, doing his chores, and learning the lessons taught to him with eager diligence and surprising skill. The formidable martial arts techniques taught there were absorbed by Connor most rapidly of all, and the lad quickly became one of the star pupils of the monastery. In addition, he worked to master the longbow, but this did not come to him naturally, like fighting with his hands and his feet. Still, he strove to master it anyway, and through hard work he excelled in the art of archery as well. Eventually, after a particularly dark time, Ollie returned to the Ashram, to find the peace and tranquility that he could not locate anywhere else in the world. Finally Connor's dream to meet his father, the man who was larger than life in his eyes, had come true. He befriended Ollie, yet did not reveal his secret to his father. In truth, he was waiting for the perfect time to do so, a time that never seemed to come. He followed Ollie everywhere, watching and learning everything his father had to teach. He begged Green Arrow to teach him how to use the longbow. He insisted. Eventually, Ollie agreed. It was the happiest day of Connor's life. Connor's skill with the longbow increased exponentially under Ollie's tutelage. At the same time as Ollie taught Connor about the bow, he came to care for the boy, almost looking upon him... as a son. It was as if they were blood companions. Eventually, Ollie decided to leave the Ashram and return to the Hero Scene, as the Green Arrow. Connor begged to go with him, and again, Ollie said 'yes', still unaware that the boy who seemed so oddly suited to be his companion was his own flesh and blood... Ollie returned to the hero scene with a bang, and Connor was by his side, bright-eyed and ready to save the world, like he had dreamed as a boy. But the positive note their sojourn together started on did not hold, as they got caught in the business of Eddie Fyers, mercenary, a former CIA agent who had been both friend and foe to Ollie over the years. They saved his life, and Fyers worked with them to repay the favor. It seemed as if things were looking up for Ollie and Connor, until Hal Jordan beat Connor to the punch, by revealing the truth. Ollie confronted Connor with doubt and mistrust. Why didn't he tell him at the start? And Connor didn't know how to apologize. He knew Ollie was right. He shouldn't have kept it a secret for so long. But before he could apologize to his father in earnest... Ollie died. A hero's death, saving the city of Metropolis from a terrorist attack. Recovering from the sorrow and grief, Connor knew what needed to be done. He was unsure if it was HIS job to do it... but he knew of no one else who would. Taking up the bow and arrow, a new Green Arrow rose to strike out in the name of justice. Connor continued to travel with one of his father's former allies, Eddie Fyres, accompanied at times by Connor's martial arts mentor Master Jansen, as he tried to find his place not only in the hero world, but also in the legacy of Green Arrow. Connor also met Black Canary (Dinah Laurel Lance), Ollie's former and longtime romantic interest, who gave him one of Ollie's old bows, which Connor would use from then on. (However, the news that the Ollie was dead would send Black Canary, who was already suffering from a string of misfortunes – loss of income from the destruction of her florist shop and the loss of her superhuman ability – into a despair which would only be ended by her association with Oracle.) He was a 'common man's hero', out stopping muggers on the streets, instead of saving the planet on a weekly basis. He traveled all over the globe, from Japan to Gotham City. In Gotham, he went toe-to-toe with his Step-Father Milo, an arms dealer, and joined forces with Robin, the boy wonder, who became a great friend to Connor. He worked for the extremely wealthy child known as the Rahfi, but did not stay long, since being a hired bodyguard was not a very appealing position to him. Eventually he set out to discover more about himself, and found his grandfather, Nathan Hawke, who told him even more about his family and where he came from. Continuing his journeys with Eddie, Connor had interesting adventures, including nearly sleeping with the spirit of a woman named Lady Ren. Through all this, Connor finally discovered himself, and began to truly step into the role of the Green Arrow. But fate had another curveball to throw at the Emerald Archer… While Connor was battling a force of Chinese soldiers during the Final Night, Hal Jordan was preparing to make the ultimate sacrifice. But before he moved to destroy the Sun-Eater, he did one last good deed. He brought Oliver Queen back to life. After the sun was re-ignited Connor went to Japan, where he, Shado, and Black Canary brought down the terrorist Big Tuna. Afterward he returned to America, where he discovered that the Ashram had fallen into the hands of a greedy man who sought to use his home for material gain. Connor stepped forward to defend Master Jansen's honor by fighting in a Rite of Combat. The winner would gain control of the Ashram. The loser... Connnor fought Silver Monkey, fought and eventually lost. He only survived, because Master Jansen called off the fight, seeking to save his pupil's life. Leaving the Ashram in Shame, Connor returned to being Green Arrow II. Eventually Connor came into contact with Green Lantern, and the two quickly became friends, with Kyle revealing his civilian identity to Connor. Not long after his dealings with Kyle, Moonday turned control of an apartment building over to Connor, and the young hero used it as a source of revenue. You have to stay in arrows somehow, you know. Unfortunately, Silver Monkey hadn't forgotten about Connor, and soon came to finish the job. Unfortunately he discovered that defeat had only seemed to make the young Arrow stronger, for in the battle that ensued, Connor beat his foe to the point of shaming him completely. Connor soon discovered that it's almost impossible to remain an 'everyday' superhero, when an incident surrounding the return of Eddie Fyers involved the JLA. Soon, Connor found himself trying out for membership in that august group of heroes... a tryout that culminated in Connor saving the entire Justice League from The Key. In other words, he passed with flying colors. Connor's tenure on the league was brief. Eventually he quit, feeling too small to be an active member of such an august group. His place was with the average man, serving as a defender of justice on the streets. But the peaceful routine of the street hero was not to last Connor long. Silver Monkey had been a member of a martial-arts cult called the Brotherhood of the Monkey Fist - the greatest of them, in fact. And Connor had humiliated him absolutely. The Brotherhood soon moved to take revenge, seeking Connor's death in response to Silver Monkey's defeat. The final battle took place in Gotham City, and drew in the Batman and all his allies. It was there that Connor fought the world's deadliest assassin, Lady Shiva. He fought admirably, but in the end he would have died, had not Robin intervened and saved his life, by calling in a favor that Shiva owed the Boy Wonder. A life, for a life. It moves both ways. But fighting Connor had taxed Shiva to the limit, and it soon circulated through the underworld that in terms of fighting skill, Green Arrow was nearly as deadly as the most lethal woman alive. Not long after the events of No Man's Land, he was challenged for his rank, and ultimately left Gotham, seeking to find his center once again. Connor soon sought more answers about his father from a time-lost hero by the name of... Hal Jordan. Together the two fought and defeated the Eden Corps, the organization responsible for Ollie's death. When Hal returned to his proper time, Connor decided that the time had come for him to go home too. After turning control of his properties over to a friend named Mia, Connor returned to the Ashram monastery, his desire for its liberation now untainted by selfishness, he won the challenge, and turned control of his home over to Master Jansen. He then became a student there once more. Connor remained in Ashram for sometime, perfecting his mind, and honing his fighting skills, for when he would emerge once more to fight for the common man. But in his dreams, in the depths of his meditation he saw visions. Saw Ollie, reaching out to him. And he knew he was being summoned. Ollie was coming back. And he needed Connor's help. Together, the two of them reunited Ollie's body with his soul, and prevented a sinister killer named Stanley Dover (no, not that one) from taking control of it for his own nefarious ends. His work completed, Connor returned to the Ashram to finish instructing his students before departing once more. It is time for the Arrow-Son to stand at his father's side once again. Connor and Ollie moved in together in Star City. The two live with Mia Dearden, a former prostitute that Ollie has taken in and trained as his new sidekick Speedy. Since returning to the superhero life, Connor has been wounded seriously twice, once by the villain called Onomatopoeia and once by Constantine Drakon, but he continues in his hero role. He is the voice of reason for Ollie, and the two have since formed a real father-son relationship. Recently he spent time on the Marshall Islands with his father and Mia recovering from his injuries, as well as honing his skills in the martial arts.

Characteristics Age: 24 Height: 5’9” Weight: 160lbs Eyes: Green Hair: Blonde Description: Connor is of mixed ancestry, and has been described as 1/2 white, 1/4 black and 1/4 Korean - the end result being unusually good looking. Connor has a humble, reserved but very graceful body language, and an air of goodness and mystery that never fails to attract most women's attention. Personality: Connor Hawke is the living antithesis of his volatile, womanizing father, Oliver Queen. Connor is an earnest young man with a mature and thoughtful nature. He is a nice, quiet, respectful young man who received very little exposure to the mainstream American society during his youth. He's very much of a meditative young monk, contend with his lot and enjoying silence and simple, honest things. He has been raised in a slightly new-agey version of zen buddhism, and is an intense practitioner of meditative, internal arts such as aikijutsu and kyujutsu as well as their 'do" forms. Connor is a hero. He has to be; the title of Green Arrow is not one to be taken lightly. He's wanted nothing more his whole life than to be like his Father; and with recent years, he's gotten the chance to do so. Without question, Connor will take up his bow to fight for a cause he believes to be right. Connor Hawke's got a lot to brag about. One of the world's greatest archers, one of the world's greatest martial artists, the son of a Supermodel and a Superhero...and yet, he doesn't. It's just not in Connor's nature to be a braggart; in fact, he often downplays his achievements (often to the point of making himself sound insignificant). Connor just sees himself as a man with a bow who's just trying to help people. No more, no less. At heart, Connor's just a big softie. He honestly wants to see the best in people; he almost has to, with a cold blooded killer as a best friend. Connor is more than willing to do nearly anything within his power (and quite a few things that aren't) for anybody, should they genuinely need it. Connor doesn't fight unnecessarily. Connor fights to protect the weak, to defend his family, and (more often than not) to defend his own well-being. It would be hard, if not impossible to get Connor to fight for a trivial reason such as a bruised ego. Live and let live, and all that. Even still, when Connor does fight, he fights in his own particular style that does as little permanent damage to his opponent as possible. It's a testament to Connor's skill as both archer and martial artist that he has the ability to pull his punches, both literally and figuratively in the heat of a brawl. Connor prides himself on being an honest, well-meaning individual. He's not one to go back on his word or shoot a man in the back, if he can help it. In addition to this, Connor has almost unconsciously placed a wide variety of people under his 'protection'...whether they need it or not. Both his parents fall into this category, as does the rest of the Arrow family and some of his other close friends of both the civilian and superheroic variety. While Connor goes out of his way to protect the weak, he'll go even further for his circle of loved ones- it's just part of his nature. Over the years, Connor's learned how to keep a cool head, no matter what the situation. This isn't to say that he's entirely unflappable; far from it (especially where women are concerned). But what's important isn't Connor's composure so much as his ability to bypass whatever distractions pop up and get to the matter at hand. Connor Hawke has faced down all sorts of foes, ranging from the typical gun-wielding thug to gods, demons, world-renowned assassins, and even an entire battalion of the Chinese army. He's not unflappable, or arrogant, but Connor does know how to fight down fear and apprehension in order to throw himself into a fray, to get things done. Maybe it's his looks, maybe it's his nice guy personality, or maybe it's his nave nature, or maybe it's a combination of all three. In any case, Connor Hawke is a likeable sort of guy. At a first meeting, men tend to view him as non-threatening, while women…well, women tend to think of things that are best left unsaid with minors about. It's not a set response, but such reactions are pretty common. Connor has spent nearly half of his life in an all-male monastery and there are certain...gaps in his education concerning women. Connor has absolutely no idea how the female mind operates, though he IS learning. Slowly. The main problem with this is that he keeps attracting women left and right. Powers Known Powers: No known powers Known Abilities:- Athlete:: Connor is in amazing shape. He maintains a strict regimen of exercise, is careful about what he eats, and as a result he could likely compete in many Olympic events. He is an expert acrobat and gymnast, with the incredible balance necessary to do extremely difficult aerial maneuvers. He is an able weight lifter, capable of lifting more than most men his size and weight, not to mention hitting far harder. Marathons are no challenge for him, and he can swim long distances. His lung capacity, too, allows him to dive deep and hold his breath for extended periods, if necessary. His upper body strength is very developed from using his bow so often; Connor can lift weights of up to a hundred pounds with just one hand.
- Martial Arts: Some people are lucky enough to have innate talents that they excel at. Sometimes it's art, mathematics, poetry, or (in the case of Connor's famed father) archery. Connor's latent talent is the ability to kick ass. For some odd reason, martial arts come like a second nature to Connor, allowing him to easily adapt and learn new fighting styles.
Connor is, without question, one of the greatest living martial artists in the world. He's not the best, but he's close; well within the top five in the world, at least. Connor is skilled enough to be compared to the likes of Batman, Batgirl, and even Lady Shiva.
Connor has received training in many different styles of martial arts; he just has a natural aptitude for it. Connor's primary fighting style is Aikijujitsu, a style designed to subdue an opponent without doing any actual harm to them, through a variety of blocks, holds, and throws.
In addition to Aikijujitsu, however, Connor is well familiar with several other styles of the martial arts; most notably, several different styles of Kung-Fu. Connor picks and chooses various maneuvers as the situation warrants; a kick here, a hold there, and so forth. Connor is more than capable of holding his own against several opponents- though as the individual skill level of his opponents rises, the actual number of opponents he can feasibly fight decreases.
- Photographic Reflexes: Connor's status as a Martial Arts prodigy isn't entirely based on his own determination and training; he's got a bit of an edge on many other practicioners of the Martial Arts. Due to Connor's training in the ashram, he can mimic fighting styles that he witnesses. There's just some odd little quirk in his muscle memory that allows Connor to perfectly mimic any physical movements he sees. This mimicry allows him to learn new fighting styles at an acellerated rate, even without formal instruction. Quite simply, if Connor sees a fighting style in action, he can quickly analyze it and take it up himself, while the effects of formal training are downright phenomenal. However, this isn't perfect; while Connor can learn a set of movements with little effort, just how he uses these sequences is something else entirely. It's part of the reason why he doesn't excel at Archery as much as his father does; he can mimic the technique of drawing the bow perfectly, but the actual aiming is up to him.
- Archery: Connor has a lifetime of extensive training that's crafted him into one of the world's best archers. He has been trained by the best kyujutsu specialists at the Ashram – and his skills were further developed by Green Arrow I. Connor may not the greatest Archer alive (that title's reserved for his father) but his skill with a bow is nothing to scoff at. If Connor wished, he could easily win an entire rack full of Gold medals in Archery (provided that Ollie or Roy didn't enter the competition as well, of course). To say that he's an Olympic level archer is an understatement; after all Olympic archers get to stand still.
While armed with his bow, Connor can hit a bullseye at a range of up to a hundred yards with little effort. He's good enough that his accuracy is barely diminished by "extenuating circumstances," such as wind, low visibility, uneven ground, the fact that he's firing on the move, other people shooting BACK at him, or whatever else might come up. Examples of Connor's skill include shooting approaching arrows from the air, firing up to three arrows at once, or even managing to hit a Flash-level speedster in the leg. Suffice it to say, if he shoots at something, he's going to hit it. The most common display of Connor's skill, however, is his ability to incapacitate someone with an arrow, rather than kill them. In fact, such subdual shots have become second nature to Connor.
Generally, the more complex or tricky a shot is, the longer it will take him to aim; granted, this time is measured in seconds- but it's the sort of thing that could provide a canny opponent with an opportunity.
- Bowyer: An "extracurricular" he worked on at the Ashram Monastery, Connor's learned the craft of a bowyer, allowing him to make his own arrows, bowstrings- and his own bow. Connor has hand-crafted nearly every bit of his tackle, making it to his personal requirements. If necessary, he could replace all of his equipment with nothing more at his disposal than a knife, some sinew, a few turkey feathers, and a yew sapling. However, when it comes to the more complex "trick" arrows that have been associated with the Green Arrow for so long, Connor lacks the technical aptitude that his father possesses.
- Acrobatics: A flashier aspect of Connor's aptitude for Martial arts allows him to bounce, flip, twist, and tumble in any variety of ways; he's probably skilled enough in such matters to make a living as a Hong Kong stuntman. Of course, in the superhero business, this acrobatic skill is better suited to leaping between rooftops and dodging blows; two things that Connor does on a regular basis.
- Stealth: Connor's no ninja (or Batman), but he still knows how not to be seen. The awareness of his body granted to Connor by his Martial Arts conditioning allows him to creep about with the utmost care and silence, and also to freeze stock-still in a concealing shadow. He knows enough to prowl about rooftops and the like; high-technology electronic systems, however, will still detect him.
- Meditation:Among the first skills that Connor picked up while with the Ashram was meditation. In nearly any circumstance, Connor can clear his mind of all outside stimuli in order to reflect on himself and whatever situation he might be in. While Connor daily meditates in a cross-legged position, he often takes a few seconds to meditate "in action" so to speak, when lining up a particularly challenging shot.
- Escape Artist: Connor can escape from nearly any trap. He can use the various lock picks concealed on his person to open the bonds, or dislocates his joints to more easily slide free of his chains. He is among the foremost escape artists in the world.
- Survival: If you were to plunk Connor down in the middle of the forested wilderness with nothing but a knife, he'd probably be somewhat mad at you. More importantly, it's entirely likely that he'd make it out relatively intact. Connor knows how to find food, water, and build himself a shelter in extenuating circumstances.
- Tracking: Following a path that someone may not realize they left for you, is something Connor has learned over time. Look for things that are out of place, things that might be damaged, blood, any number of things might point the way. Ollie taught him this, as well as his training with the monks.
- Languages: Because his adventures take him around the world and he cannot always rely on interpreters, Connor has learned to speak many languages. He is fluent in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian and Spanish. He is able to recognize colloquialisms that would distinguish speakers from various regions. His accent is flawless, and even if he cannot duplicate a speaker from a specific region, he is usually assumed to be a native speaker (if judged by voice alone, at least).
- Criminology: For someone that doesn't have the natural knack for detective work that Batman and Nightwing do, Connor is still a master crimefighter. He could give seasoned FBI agents lessons. His understanding of common criminal minds and methods coupled with street knowledge, crime scene investigation, and a well-practiced gut sense that often steers him in the right direction make him hard to fool. It's important he put a lot of effort into being sure about what's going on because what comes after that part usually involves a lot of punching, kicking, and clubbing over various heads.
- Medicine: No amount of preparation, resourcefulness, or equipment can totally compensate for the inevitability that injuries happen. When there's a broken bone or a stab wound, laceration or gunshot wound, Connor knows those useful first steps to take to make recovery possible. He's not a doctor by a longshot and really doesn't have the passion for it, but it's extremely useful knowledge for anybody, not just for those that put themselves in harm's way nightly. He is skilled in applying field dressings, setting bones, applying CPR, and even crude enough surgery to remove bullets and apply stitches. One could describe his skillset here as triage, and he's about on par with a paramedic.
- Willpower: By and large, super heroes have a greater and stronger willpower than your average person. It becomes necessary in their line of work - they have to be able to resist mental assault, tremendous fear, even torture as a matter of course and on a day to day basis. What is more, they have to resist the desire to use their powers to antisocial ends as well - every hero knows that their skills and powers could give them great riches and treasures if they just gave in to their baser desires. Most heroes never give in to these possibilities. But Connor never even considers them. He would not use his abilities for evil. He would not steal, would not kill, uses excessive force on occasion, but even then he knows exactly what he is doing, and goes no farther than he intends. Connor’s Zen instruction gives him the willpower that far exceeds most humans on earth.
- Charisma: Connor has a strong pheremonal reaction to most women who are immediately attracted to him. One such troubled person is Crackshot who has it in her mind to eventually be with Connor.
Strength Level: Connor is not peak human, but he is close. He can lift well over 500lbs. Weaknesses and Flaws:- Brotherhood of the Fist: If the old saying in which a man can be measured by the enemies he makes is true, Connor's certainly an impressive figure. The most notable enemies he's made over the years is the Brotherhood of the Monkey Fist, an organization of martial artists and assassins. Having defeated their leader, the Silver Monkey, in single combat, Connor earned himself the mantle of Silver Monkey, whether he wanted it or not. As a result, Connor has become a marked man, a prime target for any other martial artist wanting the title of the Silver Monkey, as to claim it, all they have to do is take Connor down in single combat. Granted, it's something easier said than done...but that just means that the people gunning for Connor will be all the more dangerous.
- Lady Shiva: Connor is one of the few living people on the planet ever to have battled Lady Shiva in single combat and come out the better. She's better than Connor is, but the fact that Connor's still alive still serves as a niggling thorn in Shiva's side. It's entirely likely that Shiva may turn her attentions back to Connor . . . someday.
- Big Shoes to Fill: Connor has some big shoes to fill. His father, the original Green Arrow, is one of the world's more famous superheroes (not as instantly recognizable as, say, Superman). Connor's most driving goal in life is to live up to the standards set by Ollie Queen. However, a childhood of distant hero-worship has elevated Ollie to a near godlike status in Connor's mind, establishing standards that he just cannot live up to. If it weren't for this fact, it's entirely likely that he could become a hero of his own- but he never will, instead forever established as the SECOND Green Arrow.
- Public Identity: Connor doesn't go about publicly unmasking himself; but at the same time, he hasn't really bothered to go out of the way to conceal his identity, either. Those with enough investigative skill could easily put two and two together to learn Connor's secret identity; though what they actually do with it is another matter entirely.
- Mortal: When it comes down to it, Connor is human. His body is just as susceptible to physical injury or disease as that of anybody else. He pushes himself to his limits every day, and as a result he pushes back those limits further and further, but there is only so far that a person can bend before they break.
Misc (optional) Equipment:- Costume: Much like his bow, Connor's costume pales in comparison to the super-wardrobes of other heroes. It's a simple jumpsuit made of an insulated, wet-suit like material; it's enough to protect him from the elements, and give him a wide range of movement, but not much else.
The green gloves of Connor's superhero costume are specially designed for his purposes as an archer; his left glove is reinforced just slightly along his forearm, providing an arm guard should his bowstring slap his arm while it's released, while the first three fingertips of his right glove are specially made from deerskin, allowing Connor a smoother release when firing.
A simple green mask completes the ensemble, protecting his identity. Connor does, however, have one trick up his sleeve when it comes to his costume- literally. He keeps a small steel knife concealed in his right glove; it's nothing big enough to be used in combat but it's nice to have in a pinch for more utilitarian purposes; cutting ropes, carving arrows, etc. Transportation: Motorcycle Weapons:- Bow: When compared to some of the gear carried by other, powerless superheroes, or even when compared to the tackle of Olympic-level archers, Connor's bow is downright primitive. Even still, the his bow is an excellent piece of craftsmanship, made of layered strips of ash and yew, sealed and protected from the elements by green laquer. It's a recurve bow; that is, an extra bend in the limbs of the bow that allows one to get more power to the draw without having the bow be too unwieldy. Connor made his bow himself, making it to his exact specifications with his own strength, weight, and draw-length in mind. His bow has a draw strength of over a hundred pounds, allowing Connor to fire arrows to distances of up to a hundred yards without any loss in accuracy, with enough force to punch straight through a quarter inch of steel plate.
- Arrows: If Connor's shooting an arrow at something, nine times out of ten it's going to be a pretty mundane arrow. Of course, even this mundane ammunition is quite formidable in Connor's hands. Connor has made each of his arrows himself, with the ash or fiberglass shaft of each arrow specially cut to Connor's specific draw length. Connor works with steel hunting broadheads, each arrowhead sharpened to a razor's edge, and specifically barbed to stay stuck in whatever it is that it's been shot into.
In addition, Connor usually carries a select handful of "specialized" (the cynical might call them "gimmick") arrows, usually taken from his Father's stash. Grapnel-line arrows are the most common, though he also has been known to carry the occasional flash-bang arrow or smoke-arrow as well. Though when confronted with a particularly daunting task, and when given enough preparation, Connor sometimes helps himself to some of Dad's arsenal. He's even been known to carry a Boxing Glove Arrow. Just in case. Sample RP Post

(However, the news that the Ollie was dead would send Black Canary, who was already suffering from a string of misfortunes – loss of income from the destruction of her florist shop and the loss of her superhuman ability – into a despair which would only be ended by her association with Oracle.)
He was a 'common man's hero', out stopping muggers on the streets, instead of saving the planet on a weekly basis.
But fate had another curveball to throw at the Emerald Archer…
While Connor was battling a force of Chinese soldiers during the Final Night, Hal Jordan was preparing to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Characteristics
Age: 24 Height: 5’9” Weight: 160lbs Eyes: Green Hair: Blonde
Description: Connor is of mixed ancestry, and has been described as 1/2 white, 1/4 black and 1/4 Korean - the end result being unusually good looking.
Powers
Known Powers: No known powers
Known Abilities:[ul] [li]Athlete:: Connor is in amazing shape.
[/li][li]Martial Arts: Some people are lucky enough to have innate talents that they excel at.
[/li][li]Photographic Reflexes: Connor's status as a Martial Arts prodigy isn't entirely based on his own determination and training; he's got a bit of an edge on many other practicioners of the Martial Arts.
[/li][li]Archery: Connor has a lifetime of extensive training that's crafted him into one of the world's best archers.
[/li][li]Bowyer: An "extracurricular" he worked on at the Ashram Monastery, Connor's learned the craft of a bowyer, allowing him to make his own arrows, bowstrings- and his own bow.
[/li][li]Acrobatics: A flashier aspect of Connor's aptitude for Martial arts allows him to bounce, flip, twist, and tumble in any variety of ways; he's probably skilled enough in such matters to make a living as a Hong Kong stuntman. Of course, in the superhero business, this acrobatic skill is better suited to leaping between rooftops and dodging blows; two things that Connor does on a regular basis.
[/li][li]Stealth: Connor's no ninja (or Batman), but he still knows how not to be seen. The awareness of his body granted to Connor by his Martial Arts conditioning allows him to creep about with the utmost care and silence, and also to freeze stock-still in a concealing shadow. He knows enough to prowl about rooftops and the like; high-technology electronic systems, however, will still detect him.
[/li][li]Meditation:Among the first skills that Connor picked up while with the Ashram was meditation.
[/li][li]Escape Artist: Connor can escape from nearly any trap. He can use the various lock picks concealed on his person to open the bonds, or dislocates his joints to more easily slide free of his chains. He is among the foremost escape artists in the world.
[/li][li]Survival: If you were to plunk Connor down in the middle of the forested wilderness with nothing but a knife, he'd probably be somewhat mad at you. More importantly, it's entirely likely that he'd make it out relatively intact. Connor knows how to find food, water, and build himself a shelter in extenuating circumstances.
[/li][li]Tracking: Following a path that someone may not realize they left for you, is something Connor has learned over time. Look for things that are out of place, things that might be damaged, blood, any number of things might point the way. Ollie taught him this, as well as his training with the monks.
[/li][li]Languages: Because his adventures take him around the world and he cannot always rely on interpreters, Connor has learned to speak many languages.
[/li][li]Criminology: For someone that doesn't have the natural knack for detective work that Batman and Nightwing do, Connor is still a master crimefighter.
[/li][li]Medicine: No amount of preparation, resourcefulness, or equipment can totally compensate for the inevitability that injuries happen.
[/li][li]Willpower: By and large, super heroes have a greater and stronger willpower than your average person.
[/li][li]Charisma: Connor has a strong pheremonal reaction to most women who are immediately attracted to him. One such troubled person is Crackshot who has it in her mind to eventually be with Connor. [/li][/ul]
Strength Level: Connor is not peak human, but he is close. He can lift well over 500lbs.
Weaknesses and Flaws:[ul][li]Brotherhood of the Fist: If the old saying in which a man can be measured by the enemies he makes is true, Connor's certainly an impressive figure.
[/li][li]Lady Shiva: Connor is one of the few living people on the planet ever to have battled Lady Shiva in single combat and come out the better. She's better than Connor is, but the fact that Connor's still alive still serves as a niggling thorn in Shiva's side. It's entirely likely that Shiva may turn her attentions back to Connor . . . someday.
[/li][li]Big Shoes to Fill: Connor has some big shoes to fill.
[/li][li]Public Identity: Connor doesn't go about publicly unmasking himself; but at the same time, he hasn't really bothered to go out of the way to conceal his identity, either. Those with enough investigative skill could easily put two and two together to learn Connor's secret identity; though what they actually do with it is another matter entirely.
[/li][li]Mortal: When it comes down to it, Connor is human. His body is just as susceptible to physical injury or disease as that of anybody else. He pushes himself to his limits every day, and as a result he pushes back those limits further and further, but there is only so far that a person can bend before they break. [/li][/ul]
Misc (optional)
Equipment:[ul][li]Costume: Much like his bow, Connor's costume pales in comparison to the super-wardrobes of other heroes.
He keeps a small steel knife concealed in his right glove; it's nothing big enough to be used in combat but it's nice to have in a pinch for more utilitarian purposes; cutting ropes, carving arrows, etc.[/li][/ul]
Transportation: Motorcycle
Weapons:[ul][li]Bow: When compared to some of the gear carried by other, powerless superheroes, or even when compared to the tackle of Olympic-level archers, Connor's bow is downright primitive.
[/li][li]Arrows: If Connor's shooting an arrow at something, nine times out of ten it's going to be a pretty mundane arrow.
Just in case.[/li][/ul]
