Basic Information
Real name: Gemini de Mille
Current Alias: Gemini
Gender: Female (Technically genderless)
Age: 21
Occupation: Mercenary
Marital Status: Single
Alignment: Villain
Affiliation(s): Secret Society of Super Villains
Characteristics
Height: 5”8 (Variable)
Weight: 124 lbs. (Variable)
Eyes: Blue (Variable)
Hair: Black (Variable)
Character Type: Protoplasmic Life form
Unusual Features: Her skin is always completely flawless, without any blemishes and Gemini is always perfectly groomed; being a shapeshifter has its perks. But that is just the surface; underneath the human façade there isn't anything remotely human. The blob like substance which comprises Gemini's body is cobalt blue in colour with a smooth rubber texture. She can mimic the human form flawlessly through years of practice, looking and feeling no different to anyone else but if she's exposed to heat, her true nature shows through.
Personality
Gemini was brought up by super villains who raised her with a very ‘unique’ sense of ethics. She has a cold, controlled personality with a definite cruel streak. Underneath the outer coldness there is a deep anger, bordering on psychosis that can explosively escape if provoked. Following past failures she does not trust anyone but herself and follows her own interest above everything.
Gemini will fight a battle for as long as she has the advantage and hates losing, but when a battle is going against her she will cut and run to avoid capture. She relishes her physical superiority, particularly the moment when an opponent realises they have no hope of beating her and are ensnared in her coils. She never, ever forgets a grudge and anyone who beats her in a fight automatically goes on her hate list. In her dealings with others she is arrogant and patronising, not really caring what others think about her- unless they tell her to her face.
She reacts particularly furiously to people suggesting she isn’t human, as deep down she knows that she was grown in a tank and not born to Madame Rouge, but does not like confronting this fact.
History
Gemini does not have many memories of her earliest childhood partly for the reason that she didn’t actually have one. As the Brotherhood’s struggle with the Doom Patrol heated up the Brain decided that he needed a more powerful version of Madame Rouge, who had proved herself vulnerable to injury as well as having a dual personality. Therefore the Brain set about growing a new protoplasmic entity stronger than Rouge and without a ‘good side‘. After growing the protoplasm and implanting it with false memories and a female personality the Brain gave the new child to Madame Rouge to raise and turn into a weapon for the Brotherhood. The protoplasmic girl and stretchy woman would form a close bond. Gemini as Rouge named her grew close to her surrogate mother and came to think of herself as Rouge’s true daughter. Later Madame Rouge had left the Brotherhood and before her betrayal moved the young girl to a secret location to hide her from the Brain. Years later Gemini learned of her mother’s death and swore revenge on Beast Boy for killing the only person who had ever cared about her.
Teaming up with Fear and Loathing Gemini used her shape-shifting abilities to try to frame Beast Boy for murder and revenge her mother’s death. Unfortunately she was not yet skilled enough to defeat Beast Boy and was beaten. Following in her mother’s footsteps Gemini then joined the Brotherhood of Evil and attempted to smuggle arms into Bludhaven, only to be stopped by Batgirl. Escaping custody, the Brotherhood attempted to clone a body for the use of the Brain, but were stopped by the Teen Titans. Disgusted by these failures, and discovering more of her mother’s history, Gemini left the Brotherhood and set out on her own, enjoying a life of crime.
Powers and Abilities
Known Powers:
* Shapeshifter Gemini’s body is made up of a form of rubbery protoplasm which lets her change shape into almost anything she wishes. Her changes are purely cosmetic however, while she can look and feel like Superman, she would be unable to fly or use any of his powers. She is able to change size and mass to a considerable extent, becoming as small as a toothpick or as large as a skyscraper. Gemini has learned to mimic various substances by altering her body and can create credible imitations of almost any material, therefore Gemini never wears clothes, her costume including the ‘metal’ plates are a part of her body. Animal forms are among her favourites and she has learnt to enhance her senses to match those of an animal.
* Elasticity Like her ‘mother’ Madame Rouge, Gemini is capable of stretching her body to an incredible degree and for considerable distances. Lacking bones, she can stretch and contort herself to an inhuman degree.
*Separation: Like Clayface, Gemini is capable of separating herself into multiple forms (a flock of birds or several poeple) however this needs more concentration on her part and actually makes it harder for her to function (Imagine having to process the images from three sets of eyes for example).
* Resilience/ Regeneration Owing to her rubbery nature Gemini is capable of absorbing most blunt force physical attacks and reflecting some energy or projectile attacks back at her attacker. Gemini is extremely regenerative, capable of re-growing lost body parts within a few seconds and reforming her entire body in less than a minute. She does not feel pain from most attacks (see weaknesses), because she has no vital organs to damage or blood vessels to burst. Because she is essentially made of rubber she doesn't need to breath, sleep or eat and does not get tired; making her a highly dangerous tracker. Finally she is immune to electrical attacks, while poisons, pathogens and radiation have no effect on her.
Known Abilities:
Actress: Being able to change your shape often isn’t enough to fool someone; you have to be able to accurately portray personality and mannerisms to be accepted. Therefore Gemini has studied acting extensively and is often able to impersonate someone without friends knowing the difference.
Fighting Skills: At the Brotherhood she was trained in martial arts and sword fighting, becoming proficient in several disciplines. However, against most opponents she usually relies on her powerful blows and ability to soak up strikes rather than on combat skill.
Infiltration: Gemini is an expert in infiltration, being able to break in almost anywhere at will. It helps that if there is a hole, no matter how small she can squeeze through it, often without anyone knowing she was ever there.
Stealth: Her powers definitely help with this, but even without them she knows how to avoid being seen.
Intimidation: Gemini has taken this to an art form. She particularly likes toying with an opponent; taking their punches or energy blasts, reforming the damage and gloating over how they can’t stop her. She also likes pulling out a number of monster forms from her repertoire-coming face to face with a hideous creature in a dark alley is a particular nightmare she enjoys making real.
Escape Artist: Knows when and how to escape when the going gets tough.
Criminal Connections: Madame Rouge had a great many contacts, most of whom Gemini has inherited. She is connected on a number of organisations in a number of different disguises and has access to a number of terrified minions.
Strength Level: Owing to her unique physiology, Gemini possesses super human strength: She can punch through stone and less dense metals with ease, lift heavy loads and is capable of absorbing a large amount of physical force. But although strong, Gemini is much weaker than someone who is specifically gifted with superstrength.
Weaknesses:
* Temperature: Gemini is extremely vulnerable to high and low temperatures. Above 176 F she will start to become soft and gooey and at around 302 oF she will melt into a helpless puddle of goo, unable to move. If the heat source is removed she will recover rapidly. At temperatures of less than 5oF it becomes increasingly hard for her to stretch or change shape, if she gets much colder her body seizes up altogether, although she remains fully conscious. She understandably has a phobia of being frozen.
* Fire & chemical damage: Fire can damage her molecules and the accompanying heat makes her unable to repair the damage. Chemicals are less hazardous, she is damaged by them but can reform the damaged areas more quickly. These are the only things that cause her actual physical pain.
* Enhanced Senses: Gemini can be detected by those with an enhanced senses as she as no scent aside from the faint smell of rubber and usually doesn’t bother to mimic human biorhythms such as a heartbeat.
* Character Deficiencies: She can let her anger get the better of her when fighting (especially when set on fire) and becomes unfocussed and more easy to defeat. She is arrogant; believing in the strength of her powers and often underestimates her opponents.
*Dismemberment: Although being sliced into pieces doesn’t hurt, it does take her precious time to reform and is too busy putting herself back together to be aware of what's happening in the world.
* Although Gemini’s mind is very hard to read by telepaths she is vulnerable to telepathic assault, although she takes less time to recover than a normal human. Intruding into her mind to retrieve information triggers a painful psychic backlash for whoever is attempting it. She is also vulnerable to magical attack.

Frozen, she really hated being frozen. It was like a living hell. She could see and hear everything that went on outside her icy prison but could do absolutely nothing. Her body could not make even the smallest movement, there was just this horrible feeling of numb coldness throughout her form. The guards often knocked on the ice in front of her face, waving their hands to get a response. It sent a white hot feeling of rage through her, that these insects could taunt her!
A loud and distinct explosion echoed through her senses and she dared to think it was a jailbreak. But nobody appeared in front of her prison and she distantly heard the word riot spoken by the guards leaving the room. Wait, she could feel her legs. Unnoticed by the guards power to the freezer unit had somehow been cut off and in the chaos upstairs nobody thought to check on their icebound prisoner. Slowly but surely feeling returned to her body, the ice containing her was growing weak, melting. She flexed her body, pushing with all her strength and was rewarded by the ice breaking apart. Gemini stumbled free from the remains, her body feeling cold and brittle. Already though she was regenerating, the cold receding, flexibility returning to her limbs. She looked around the room, taking in the exits; a thick metal door and a small ventilation grille. The door was tempting; she could easily slide herself under it and punish some of her guards, it would make her feel better. But no, mother’s voice sounded in her thoughts repeating a lesson often hammered into her, better to escape than waste time killing a few pawns.
Mind made up a few elongated strides took her to the room’s ventilation grille. As she reached it her body started to change, collapsing in on itself, losing all human shape and texture, becoming a featureless blue-grey rubber ‘snake’ a half metre long and only a few centimetres wide. She easily pushed through one of the small square holes, slithering into the duct beyond. Reaching a crossroads Gemini paused for a moment, feeling for a flow of fresh air. Finding it the ‘snake’ began to stretch at the front, simultaneously shrinking at the back, shooting like a bullet through the ducts. After several turns an access shaft yawned in front of her, rising 50 ft to the surface with daylight showing at the top. Gemini smiled inwardly in satisfaction. The featureless ‘head’ of the snake lifted up and stretched, 10, 20 ft and right up to the external vents at the top of the shaft where she pushed through, the bottom of her body stretching up the shaft to join the top. Slithering out of the vent she landed on the ground outside and right in front of a prison guard. The guard only had time to stare curiously at the strange glossy looking worm until a hardened spike pierced his head, ending his life.
The snake gathered itself, its form expanding and sprouting feathers until a hawk stood in its place. The bird spread its wings and took flight, soaring into the sky and toward the distant skyscrapers. Gemini was free.
