History
Early Years
Komand'r was the eldest child of Tamaran's royal family, and the first princess born in almost a century. As such, she should have been courted and showered with honors, but Komand'r was instead reviled. On the day of her birth, the dreaded Citadel Empire attacked and destroyed the western Tamaranean city of Kysarr and killed three thousand citizens in her name. Due to no fault of her own, Komand'r was for all time inextricably linked with Tamaran's day of infamy.
To make matters worse for the infant, Tamaran had previously been a paradise, its people strong and proud and able to harness the rays of their sun to give them the power of flight. But Komand'r was born crippled by Tamaranean standards She could not harness the sun's energy, and found herself earthbound.
Komand'r grew up hated by a population that saw her as a symbol of their own weakness. They denied her birthright, and refused to allow her to be named Princess of Tamaran and next in line for its matriarchal throne. That title, privilege, honor, and celebration was later bestowed on her younger sister, Koriand'r. Komand'r's rage grew inward, and when she could, her hatred for her planet was focused on her hapless sister.
Deadly Betrayal
Years passed. Although the Citadel controlled Tamaran through King Myand'r, the King quietly sent his two daughters to train with the Warlords of Okaara in the traditional art of war. His silent hope was that his children would rebel against their dreaded enemy and free their planet where their father could not.
But Komand'r's anger continued to grow as she learned combat. During training exercises she ferociously lashed out at Koriand'r and sought her sister's dream. After such an open attack, Komand'r realized she could not return home. Instead, she joined the Citadel and quickly rose through their ranks to become a warrior fighting her own planet. Komand'r arranged a treaty between the Citadel and Tamaran, but one of its conditions was that Koriand'r be exiled from her planet. Princess Koriand'r was then sent off her home planet and forced into barbaric and humiliating slavery.
Years later, Komand'r and Koriand'r found themselves together again, this time, as prisoners of the Psions, a race of cold-blooded scientists who delighted in torturous physical experiments. The Psions subjected both women to conditions that tested the extent to which the Tamaranean body could absorb solar power. The experiment backfired when it inadvertently gave them both nearly unlimited energy powers
Civil War & Rise to Power
Komand'r ‘s sister, Koriand'r was called back to Tamaran and went through with a marriage of state to quell a Civil War - although it put a strain on her relationship with Dick Grayson. During this time, Komand'r seized control of Tamaran, with her parents acting as her advisors. Koriand'r returned to Earth, and began to mend her relationship with Dick Grayson.
Later, Komand'r had come to realize that it was her own hate that made her despise the world that had spurned her. Using her abilities, Komand'r helped to free Tamaran and stopped a terrorist invasion. Komand'r ruled Tamaran justly and honorably, with both a warrior's fist and a queen's heart.
A Planet's Destruction
Starfire later returned to Tamaran, after a savage attack by an evil version of her teammate, Raven. Evil Raven later incited a conflict in the Vegan star system. The Psions brutally attacked Tamaran, leading to a mass evacuation of the planet. Although many Tamaraneans survived, King Myand'r and Queen Mother Luand'r perished in the explosion. As Queen, Blackfire decided to rebuild her culture on a new planet with the surviving Tamaraneans. This world was dubbed New Tamaran.
When the planet-consuming Sun Eater ravaged the galaxy, New Tamaran lay in its path. An alien woman named Dusk tried to warn the Tamaraneans, but Queen Komand'r was too short-sighted and xenophobic to listen. Starfire believed Dusk and tried to warn her fellow Tamaraneans. Komand'r labeled her sister a traitor and banished her. Starfire left the planet and was unable to prevent its destruction. New Tamaran was engulfed by the Sun Eater – along with many of the remaining Tamaraneans.
Back With a Vengeance
Following the explosion, it was assumed Komand'r was killed as well. But the proud Warrior Queen resurfaced again during the Rann/Thanagar War. With the remaining Tamaraneans reduced to a wandering race, Komand'r was determined to find a home for her people regardless of the cost!
In her lust for power, Blackfire killed Hawkwoman and sought to murder Hawkman and Hawkgirl as well. After a brutal battle, Hawkman subdued the tempestuous Tamaranean and used the Psion's technology to strip Blackfire of her starbolt abilities. Now powerless, the bitter Blackfire was left more enraged than ever.
She returned to the Psions in a frenzy. She knew that they were the only ones who could return her power. And so they did, for a price. A thousand golds from a thousand galaxies, that is what the Psions requested, and that is what Komand'r obtained for them. Through her brute and ruthless efforts, she had finally obtained what the Psions desired and returned to their laboratories, her promise fulfilled, and her powers restored.
Blackfire came upon the planet Arcadia by a simple mistake. Her darker side became greedier as she watched the chaos that had seized the planet. Oppurtunity presented itself and Blackfire took the throne, promising to return the planet to its former glory.
Her protectiveness over her people kicked in, and Blackfire changed the planet to one where the natives were as low as dirt and the Tamerans were the gods to be revered.

Characteristics
Age: 28
Height: 6'2”
Weight: 160 lbs
Eyes: Green
Hair: Auburn
Unusual Features: Orange skin
Personality:
- Temperamental: Her anger may drive her, but at the same time it is also very easily sparked. She's very easily angered and sometimes can be irked by the littlest things. Although she may have her calm and collected days, she is very prone to totally blowing up and completely demolishing whatever it is that has brought upon her such rage.
- Vengeful: Since the day that she had been turned down by her own family and her own people, Komand'r has developed a vengeful attitude towards her younger sister. But who can blame her, she was originally promised the throne of Tamaran, but once everyone discovered her defect she was immediately rejected and replaced. It was not only the mantle that was taken away from her, but the very ability to take care and protect that people that she had loved. To this day, she despises her sister for taking this away from her, and is willing to do whatever it takes to bring her down.
- Warrior: Born on Tamaran and into a noble family, Komand'r was bred to be a fine warrior. Not only is she gifted with the skill, but she also has the mindset of one as well. Headstrong, willing, and courageous, Komand'r will go into battles with the pure intention of victory. She has a very strong mindset and is extremely determined and persistent. She is a fine warrior physically and mentally as well.
- Direct: Komand'r is very direct, if you have a question, expect an answer, and if it's one you don't like, then you probably shouldn't have asked in her first place. She'll say whatever is on her mind and will not hesitate to make a comment, even if it is totally unnecessary. She treats life the same way she does on the field, heading into it without fear or hesitation.
- Merciless: Her personal life has made her cold and callous, just like any one bad guy. She's willing to kill if necessary (or even when it's not) and will do whatever it takes to get a job done. She rules with an iron fist, and fights with one as well. Komand'r was born into a world without mercy, and therefore cannot give off her own.
- Contemplative: Despite her rage and vengeful ways, Komand'r is actually a thinker. She is always plotting something and is always thinking of strategic ways to go about a plan. Even if they don't go out as well as she would have liked, she always thinks of ways of improving, be it for her people, or even for herself.
- Aggressive: Held back by absolutely no moral code or rules, Komand'r is not afraid to rip someone's head off, or even a little bloodshed. She's vicious and will claw her way through hoards of enemies to get to whatever she wants. Rather than waiting for the action to come to her, Komand'r will run straight to it, and attempt to demolish it.
- Protective: One of her more softer sides is that Komand'r is extremely protective over her people. Despite the fact that they have shunned her, she will always pick responsibility over her own sentiments and therefore will do whatever it takes to protect and ensure that the Tamarian people are no threatened by any known foe.
- Pride: Komand'r is extremely proud of her heritage, her accomplishments and more importantly, herself. She, without a doubt thinks very high of herself and because of this is so willing to show that to everyone else. Her pride is one of her greatest motivations, and quite possibly one of the better personal attributes that she holds.
- Desire for Power: Since her power loss at a young age, Komand'r has a nearly endless desire for power. Even with the mantle of queen of Tamaranians under her belt, she is still not satisfied. There is something within her that wants to show not only her people, and not only her sister that she is worth more than anything else in this world. It is because of this that she is constantly gallivanting about, seeking ways to become an ever powerful and threatening force.
Powers
Known Powers: Because of the Psion experiment, Komand'r's body is a massive solar battery capable of storing tremendous amounts of energy and then releasing it as destructive starbolts. Additionally, due to her alien physiology she possesses super strength, stamina and durability. Further experimentations with the Psion's has also granted Komand'r the ability to fly.
- Solar Absorption: Due to her Tamaranian physiology, Komand'r is able to absorb and store solar energy. With this energy, she can convert it and create a limitless fuel for her body or convert them into powerful concussive blasts known as starbolts. Solar Absorption is the one attribute that differentiates her from humans and her own people, because it acts as an infinite source of energy that could light a city for years, or as a powerful and destructive blast of energy. When releasing this energy, Komand'r is able to mold it in her favor, either sending a powerful stream of energy or a seemingly endless wave of energy bolts. She is even capable of exerting a powerful blast of energy that could reach for several feet, however at the cost of wearing herself out.
- Flight: Originally born with the inability of flight as her defect, Komand'r's second meeting with the Psion's have granted her the ability of flight. By channeling the absorbed solar energy, Komand'r is able to propel herself through the air at blinding speeds, even faster than the speed of sound. While flying, Komand'r leaves a distinct deep purple trail behind her.
- Enhanced Stamina: The ability to absorb solar energy allows Komand'r to supply herself with an infinite amount of energy. Because of this, her stamina is extremely high, enabling her to feed off the energy around her and continue a fight for hours, or maybe even a whole day without even wearing out one bit. Through this, Komand'r can maintain strenuous physical activity for a longer period of time than most individuals.
- Enhanced Durability: By natural biology, Komand'r is more durable than most. She is able to withstand most blunt or heavy blows and can stand her own against equally powerful super beings. Albeit, she is not durable enough to be protected against piercing objects or bullets, she's strong enough to not be fazed by an explosion or by the hit of a heavy object.
- Superhuman Strength: Although not as strong as the likes of Wonder Woman or Super Girl, Komand'r possesses a great of deal of strength that when combined with her combat knowledge, make her a formidable opponent. She is able to exceed 25 tons of heavy weight, and is biologically speaking, more powerful than her sister, Koriand'r.
- Ligustical Assimulation: She is also capable of assimilating other languages through physical contact with another person.
Known Abilities:
- Brilliant Tactician: Komand'r is able to formulate and think over plans that should be executed in a precise and perfect manner. She knows how to come up with a plan and execute it as well. Although she may not be the best in the field, she certainly knows how to get a job done, and get it done right.
- Merciless Leader: Komand'r was raised to be a leader. She has a natural disposition toward it that most anyone can see after having spent time in her company. But more than a natural, she has also been trained in those things that make a good leader. How to manage and inspire people, delegation, organization, and maintaining discipline. Her skills in this area apply both in battle and in the political arena. Alongside her merciless rulings, she is capable of keeping millions under her hand.
- Expert Hand-to-hand Combatant: Since the day she could stand, Komand'r was raised into the art of war and extreme fighting. Brought up by the noble Tamaranians in her family, she learned exotic fighting styles not only native on her planet, but around the galaxy as well. Along with her galactic travels, she has gained and learned many different styles of fighting. She is trained by the Warlords of Okaara and has been ranked one of the top fighters in her world. Komand'r can fight, and she knows that she's better than most, even her dear sister Koriand'r.
- Survival: She's been shunned since a young age, and banished from her own planet, Komand'r knows how to survive on the harsher side of life, albeit, maybe not through the most virtuous methods, but she knows how to make one hell of a living and name for herself. She can survive in most conditions and just about any terrain. Be it scavenging for food, water, or weapons, Komand'r is more than capable and more than practical.
- Weapons Expert: If it's a melee or missile weapon of some sort, Komand'r knows how to use it with deadly efficiency. She is proficient with all forms of weapons used by the Tamaranians, and some that are completely alien to her people. A weapon in Komand'r's hands is almost an extension of her own body. She is one of the more deadly people around in this aspect.
- Intimidation: Komand'r is quite adept at scaring, intimidating and forcing her will upon other people. Frankly, she's just plain scary when she wants to be. She does it with a particular Tamaranian touch, usually some form of threat of violent and gruesome pain. In short, she's willing to go to extreme measures when it comes to getting what she wants out of others.
Strength Level: Komand'r is able to lift over 25 tons in weight, or the equivalent of a small tank. By biological superiority, she is stronger than her sister, Koriand'r.
Weaknesses:
- Temper: Komand'r has a very, very bad temper. She can be easily angered if the question of her own abilities comes into play, or if her pride is threatened. She's one to really blow the lid off once angered, and when she is enraged, sometimes it looks as if there is absolutely no way of stopping her. However, just like anyone else when they are angry, Komand'r can and will go completely insane. Her judgments can be completely shrouded in her fury, and she can act extremely irrationally when angered. Although angering her unlocks the great demoness within, it also opens doors towards making her fall and land on her face with ease.
- Bitter: Most of her rage and fury is directed straight towards her sister, Koriand'r. Komand'r feels as if she was completely robbed of her mantle by her sister, and blames most of her flaws on Kori. Because of this, she is an extremely bitter woman and will sometimes even lack optimism when it is right in front of her. She sees the world as a dark place that has damned her, and seeks no refuge in the light. She's bitter and driven towards the downfall of her sister and will accomplish this through any many means possible.
- Magic: Komand'r is susceptible to all forms of powerful and high level magic. She little to no defense against anything that is associated with the “arts”. Whatever type of spell it may be, Komand'r is sure to fall under it.
- Mind Control: As strong as she might be, Komand'r has absolutely no barrier against the likes of mental persuasion. Assuming you have the power and the chance, it is very easy to place Komand'r under your control, thus making it possible to work under just about anyone's whims.
- Overexertion: If pushed to her brink, or if forced to do so, Komand'r can over exert herself. This however is only possible if she releases a massive amount of Starbolt energy in one blow. After this she is usually “done for the day” and must take time to recharge. It is during this time that she is at her weakest and most vulnerable point.
- Relentless: Somewhat stubborn and born with an infinite amount of perseverance, Komand'r will head straight into battle with the pure intent of winning. With this in mind, Komand'r will push through any battle no matter how bad the odds are against her, or how badly beaten she gets. She puts mind over matter and will continue fighting, even if it puts her on the brink of near death. She's had her share of failures in the past, and has always risen back up even after falling down. Her stubborn willpower gives her the strength to keep fighting, but also gives her enemies the ability to take advantage of the fact that she is willing to die to win.
