Vile creatures. Subjects of great abhorrence. Filthy, parasitic beings who thrived off the Earth but did not even for once worship it. They were all the same, no matter how different they tried to claim they were. Truth to be told, she wouldn't een believe them if they did appear so, it would no doubt be a facade for more perversive means. Cold blue eyes looked down upon the golden city, glaring at thte targets in sight and imaginng that every one that passed her was crushed with a simple thought. If only it could be that easy - then all problem would be solved and her meticulously selected race of warriors would lead the world onward to a better and everlasting tomorrow. The time had come for her to bring about a new reckoning, or at least test out the effects would what would soon be the end of mankind. She recalled the many nights in the tower, alone and in seclusion. There she wored arduously on this single most importnat product that she knew would help achieve her girls. Even so, Aresia would not allow her confidence to blind her, she would have to assure that such methodology was feasible and where better to test out her product but on the plague infest city of New York. Dawn was settling onto the city and her golden blonde hair was flowing out behind her as the wind swept it up and gently caressed it. She embraced the wind, seeing it as a calling, hearing the great other Gaia cry out to her to release these shackles and bonds created by man. She would answer this call and deliever unto the Great Mother a new age of progression. Of hope and free of war, pain and suffering. That is all she had ever known to exist in the world of man and if they were not put away then it would be the end of all that was good and pure. She had seen it beore, many a times as a child and she would not even doubt for a second that such atrocities were still being commited today. They called themselves advanced, evolved, highly intelligent species but they were far from that Barbaric, primitive and daft is what she thought them and if they saw the world through her looking glass they would realize their wrongs as well. The time however for forgiveness and revitalization was long over, there was no hope in bringing them out of what they were. The only hope was to eradicate the and only let those that prove worthy enough to live. She would be the judge of that. Aresia was onfident in her ability to pick out bad seeds. She had only seen that kind of men her entire life after all. Pursing her lips, she looked to the streets at the oncoming tractor trailing that was making its way down 34th street. The patrons along the avenue did not take notice of the oversized truck that was carrying a short white container and moved precariously down the street. They were all too consumed in their world, their selfishness and their lack of consideration. Typical of the male specimen. Watching the truck, she smiled as it came to a halt at the intersection of 34th and seventh avenue, clearly blocking the sprawling streets. Red light cameras flashed violently as they took pictures of the unmarked vehicle. No matter, man could take her truck if she wanted, she wouldn't be needing it for long. Police officers began to gather, moving out of their vehicles and slowy approachin the truck as they called out ot the drivers. No response came until finally the side doors opened and two women, clad in golden and black armor stepped out of the truck. Helmets with falcon accents covered their faces and masked their identities, but the contoured armor and breast plate, alone with armored skirt gave obvious sign of heir gender. The superior female race of course. They did not acknowledge the officiers, instead simply walking past them and to the back of the truck. There, they grapped the locks of the container and began to open it. The officers were quick to react and fondled over their firearms, prepared to attack if necessary Requests to step away from the vehicle and cease all further actions were called out, but Aresia had taught them better - they took heed to no man. They continued their work, unlocking the container and pulling it open, their back muscles rippling as they pulled with uncontested strength. A white odorloss smoke began to pour out of the container and there was a mechanical hissing. As their response, the officers quickly pulled out their weapons now shouing orders and exclaiming that they would use absolute and necessary force. Let the fools try. A crowd had gathered, as was typical of these simple-minded folk and they stared curiously at the truck as a conical shaped device rolled out on a platform into sight. The device, blinked to life and small metal plates along the side began to up a hissing sound following each shaft that opened. Murmurs and anxious faces were strewn throughout the rather large crowd and Aresia was satisfied wth this new development. This would certainly be a large enough pool to test her virus. Targeted ony to attack the male species, Aresia had developed said virus to attack the immune of the men and ultimately kill thm. Effects varied, but generally it was 24 hour period that allotted in terms of eminient death. Well, time to test these theories out. Jumping from her ledge, Aresia elegantly glided down the city sky limits and landed gracefully atop the truck. Her blue eyes glinted with a certain coldnesss as she looked donw upon the civilian populace. The peeking sunlight was now cascading brilliant rays of light against her onyx armor, which made it seem ominous yet regal. She cast a disdainful look across every man in her proximty and ignoring the police officers who thought their authority still meant something, she spoke. "You will all witness a wonderful resolve today." Aresia began, pulling a remote control device from her hand and holding her finger over a red button. Before she could continue, she was halted by the actions of the local authority. Aresia heard the bullet long before it had even come within inches of her, and in reponse she raised her right arm, the shining, silver gauntlet taking the hit from the bullet and richoceting of the magically laced armor. The bullet careened through the air and embedded itself into an oppositional officer who cried out in pain and fell to the ground holding his knee. Popping filled her ears, and without even processing thought, Aresia was skillfully raising her arms before her and deflecting every bullet that came her way. "I suppose dramatic entrances can wait." Aresia muttered, pressing the red button on control and watching as an odorloss pink cloud began to erupt from the machine and hover towards the people. Civilians screamed, turning this way and that after their intitial curiosity wore off. And soon, total chaos had ensued. A smile on her face, Aresia jumped off her world stage, landing in front of a hapless officer who dared hold his barrel against her. "You really never learn." Aresia said, lifting the poor man by the collar and sending a balled fist straight into his face.

Atlee had been on her way to the bus station, on her way out of the United States all together. People jostled her on their own way to work, but a few of them gave a kind nod of their head to her in greeting. It was busy but this was New York, the city that rarely slept if it did at all.
The sounds of the sirens first drew her attention to the intersection, she merely hadn't intended to get involved, and keep on her way. Dressed in a black ball cap pulled low over her eyes, a black leather jacket covering a white tank top and a pair of black cargo pants and black vans, she hoped to remain as inconspicuous as possible, her belt still housed her red chalk bag and with black swirls on it. The things on her black backpack were minimal things, her sketch pad pencils, charcoal pens and some other things artists often carried.
She turned her head, looking at the scene unfold and the stand off that seemed to happen. She watched the blonde woman and she was stunned, they were all women and she was a little impressed. The pink cloud of a chemical made her nervous though, but what forced her hand was when the blonde clad in armor pulled the injured cop from the ground and began to beat him.
The screams had sounded long before and she'd been making her way through the crowded, that ran in the other direction.
She was abruptly shoved into the middle of the street, but that was fine it made getting to her destination easier.
Striding forward cap still low over her eyes, Atlee spoke up above the screams to be heard.
"Stop hitting him...please"
Her manners kicked in even when talking to someone who was beating the snot out of someone weaker than them.
Atlee stood to Aresia's left where she would grab her wrist to stop the next blow to the officers face, if her words weren't heeded.

His face caved into her blows and with each collision she could hear the bone splinter and give way causing blood and pus to form on his face. There was a slight look of satisfaction plastered across her face as she raised her fist once more, preparing for another blow. The two warriors that had accompanied her to perform this feat were dealing with the meddling officers, cleanly slicing through their soft bodies and evading bullets with near inhumane reflexes. They handed what were supposed to be the able bodies of the population quite easily, but in time their efforts would no longer be necessary.
The pink haze that poured from the device had covered a distance of at least ten feet now and while people were getting out of the way. Those that were within near proximity were beginning to feel the effects of the gas. Those specifically, the men of the bunch. Fathers, spouses, or significant others began to keel over, falling sharply to the ground and clawing desperately at their skin. Pausing to watch her virus at work Aresia couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear as they wretched over on the ground and began to vomit violently. They each withered in pain, holding onto the hands of their loved ones as they sought for them as the gateway to life.
“Witness the freedom from your shackles! Bear the rights that have long been deprived from you! Aresia yelled triumphantly as the sickly men, though disgusting and rather disturbing she was absolutely enthralled by the results. On Themyscira she had not the opportunity to test her virus on any man, but here - here and now the results were a success. She could only think of thanking the Gods for this blessing as she watched the men fall.
Suddenly a voice called out to her and she turned seeing the small woman, baseball cap hovered over her face to mask her identity. Aresia pursed her lips, this poor child of the Earth was probably a victim of the man’s suppression. Hiding her true beauty because of the ideals and models created for a perfect woman. She looked at the girl rather sympathetically, thinking of all the other girls who fell under this same plight. It disgusted her and such actions only fueled her rage, her fury. It began to reside, but returned almost immediately as the request from the young woman was heard. Stop hitting the man she had said and for a moment Aresia was baffled.
Was this girl daft? Did she not recognized the release from imprisonment when she saw it? No, it wasn’t the girl’s fault, she had been brainwashed by these men to believe that without the male species they were weak and frail. She only sympathized for this man because this terrible society had developed such mindsets. Her act - though valiant - was in err because of an idea that a man had put into her mind. She couldn’t be mad at her, she would only have to reeducate her. The realization of this made her acknowledge that a large scale rehabilitation would have to be performed. Surely the other women felt like this one.
At least she had retained her manners, a milestone better than the officer that she was holding in her hand. Nodding to the young woman, her eyes soft and expression harboring not rage - Aresia tossed the body aside like a rag doll. Looking to the girl, she smile, offering one hand forward and placing the bloodied one against her hip as she reached out to Atlee.
“Come sister, I did not mean to frighten you. Join me in this glorious reckoning - you no longer need to be afraid.”
A thing smile formed on her lips as she looked earnestly at Atlee a uniquely genuine look on her face as she tried to associate her self with the poor child. Only the Gods knew what terrors she had lived through - for Aresia was sure even Atlee did not know. It was the methodology of this world, to suppress their women and hide the ugly pocks and nicks the men had created. Vile creatures they were, and with that thought her expression momentarily flashed with disgust.

Atlee watched the man’s blood on her hand and she couldn’t help the cringe, call her weak willed, she was just far too compassionate for those of the planet, those that were hurt, gave her a sense of pain as well. She often went out of her way to give what little money she managed to still keep a hold of to the homeless, she constructed rock huts in Africa and she’d started doing little things for the homeless when she happened to spot them.
She moved her arm as the man was so carelessly tossed aside and the earth responded soft dirt broke and tore through the concrete, and wrapped gently around the injured officer, its soft fingers like a glove taking him to the ground and allowing him to rest on the soft surface and moving easily away from his injuries to avoid causing him pain. Her hand had curled following the movements of the earth.
Her eyes glowed under the brim of the cap, and she slowly let her hand go to the side, she’d taken her gaze off her opponent, this woman who has so carelessly and casually beat up the trained protectors of this city. She blinked the color leaving her eyes, at the ladies words, as they registered and she stared at her in…in astonishment. The wind picked up blowing her hat from her head as she reached up fingers just missing the material, if she’d only been a few inches taller, perhaps she might have been able to retrieve it, she didn’t want to resort to her powers for something that she could easily get, it would be a waste of her gifts, to use them for her own personal gain.
Her short black hair nearly touched her shoulders but not quite, she frowned looking at the outstretched hand and she lowered her hand reaching out hesitantly but not yet touching her hand. What are you doing? Atlee get a grip! She pulled her hand back but left it outstretched, she was conflicted.
“Reckoning, What do you mean…?”
She questioned her curiosity getting the better of her…she really shouldn’t be that curious, was the need to want to understand what she fought for so strong? Yes.
This was dangerous and whatever she had done was hurting everyone…no, not everyone the males. She needed to know…to know if there was a way to stop this…to help them…and if joining her cause could do that, then she would. Atlee was forever selfless. Reaching out she placed her hand in her Aresia’s outstretched hand, this time there was no hesitation, her decision was made.

An eerily thin smile formed across her lips as she looked to the young woman’s hand that reached out to her. Another sister in arms, a satisfactory relief settled across her body as she recognized that not all these women were deeply brainwashed by this crude society. There was clear understanding in her body language that showed that was she willing to submit for this cause – that there was no other option. The men of this world would have to fall and with that the rise of a powerful and proud sisterhood would descend upon this land. Gracing the soils with their touch and bringing it back to the purity that it once housed. Surely, even if the young woman had any bit of doubt she would come to understand her resolve. Understand that there was no other way. “Sister you surely must understand my cause on this day. I seek to free you from the bonds and shackles this masculine had placed around you. To secure you from the stranglehold they have created designed to choke you into submission.”Aresia began, her strong but feminine hand wrapping around Atlee’s hand and gripping with a sense of security and sincerity. She could only smile as Atlee looked up to her with the same look of confusion that she approached this situation with. It was alright to be confused Aresia thought, in due time she would understand. The warped minds of these women were delicate and long abused by this chauvinistic society that sought to manipulate them for their needs. She grit her teeth remembering what her cause was and why she had sought to step off the safe island of Themyscira and seek refuge for the women of the world. This was her divine right, the very reason why the Gods had lifted her from her meager mortal bonds and bestowed the gifts of their grace upon her. Aresia was sure that without a doubt, the Gods wanted her to return this world to purity and what other way would she be able to release the poison from this soil than by ridding of the usual suspects. The men of this society as she had remembered were initiators of war, of violence of hate and of pervasive activities that made the mother Earth weep and futility as she watched her own child become molested and beat into weakness. Aresia suddenly jerked Atlee into her. Hugging the girl with one arm and the other extended forward, Aresia rapidly moved her arm deflecting the bullets that flew at her from the reinforced police men who sought to bring her down. Narrowing her eyes, Aresia pushed the young woman behind her looking down at her with faith and confidence – her eyes showing that she would protect her. Bending at the knees slightly, she lifted off the ground, feeling the bullets fly after her and landed atop a police cruiser. The Amazonian continued to expertly deflect each round, watching as the loose bullets flew in every direction some hitting the same officers who fired them. “Your actions are futile.” Was all Aresia spoke as she rolled off the cruiser and with a grunt, lifted it off the ground. Her muscles rippled, and the pure, white skin on her arms tensed as the vehicle was lifted over her head and she finally pushed it forward – the intention to drive the men back or more so crush them under the weight of their own devices. “I am unchallenged!” Aresia shrieked as she flew forward with uncanny speed and sent a knee into a man’s solar plexus he heaved forward the air escaping from his lips and just as quickly, Aresia brought her folded fists down onto the base of his cervix and send him falling to the ground with a sickening crack. “The end is near for you all, there is no escape now!” She continued to yell as she handled the hapless officers, uncontested and without difficulties. Atlee couldn't very well stand by and do nothing, she felt the Earth respond to her, felt her crying at the pain that was being brought about this woman. She stepped away as Aresia let her go, after protecting her from the bullets. She flexed her fingers drawing the Earth closer and closer to the surface as she raised her hands cracking her fingers before she stepped forward a single step, throwing off her jacket she stood in just boots, jeans and her tank top. She pulled off her boots with rough jerks, she had to be as close to the Earth as possible if she was going to fight and she was damn well going too. This injustice would stop.
"STOP!"
She yelled, her hands jerking up to her chest as she advanced on Aresia, the Earth pulling up into a large wall, that spilled down the streets on either side of the intersection, it was just the Earth around their little area that was responding, she was forcing a stronger connection, one that was easily being filled, the Earth Mother wanted this violence to stop, just as badly as she did.
The wall was tall well over twenty feet, and it was separating Aresia and the local authorities. She pushed her right hand out in front of her and to the right. From the right of Aresia came jutting out of the ground a large spike, she kept throwing her hands up, making the spikes come left, right and center, she wanted, no needed Aresia away from the local population.
Her eyes settled on the device that was still leaking that pink gas. She made a move to go for it, her bare feet arching up on the balls of her feet as she moved for the machine, she had to contain it, with her powers she could get it to at least not infect anyone else. First she had to get too it.
She stomped her foot as she ran in three strides the earth pulled up giving her the momentum to jump and go over the heads of a few of Aresia's women fighters, she flipped in the air, landing on her feet and sprinting towards the device.
She never made it and screamed and jerked her elbow back the Earth at the end of her elbow colliding with one of the woman's stomach, who'd grabbed her shoulder and tried to throw her to the ground.
Her whole body turned to face Aresia and she looked at her, staring her down, her eyes filled with a fierce determination. It was her mission to protect the planet and she would do just that.
"I can't let you do this, I'm going to stop you. Not all the males of this planet are domin-a-trains. If you stop now and give me the antidote, I won't have to hurt you."

Red hot fury flashed through her eyes as the Earth rose before her. Aresia released her grip on the poor officer whose face was so bloody and damaged that he would probably never look the same again. The wall of Earth continued to rise, the dust and grit of the city falling upon her as it towered sky high and threatened to entrap her. Her vision focused on the small, young woman who had relinquished her guise and stood before Aresia the Earth responding to her commands. So the child sought retribution for these poor excuses of human life? She stood by them and was a sworn protector? Disgusting. She kicked at the ground, sending small stones to scatter off in separate directions as she watched the young girl move gracefully as she created great spikes from the Earth and sent them colliding with Aresia. Her teeth grit and in a moment she had pushed off the ground, her knees slightly bent and a fist going straight through the first mass of Earth. It crumbled and sprayed into pieces as her attack connected. With a roar, she brandished the sword that hung from her hilt and twirled it through the air gracefully, cutting through the minerals that had proclaimed to attack her. Aresia landed on the ground, her body low and crouched as dirt and stone showered her. She turned slightly, looking toward where Atlee once stood to no longer find her there. Furrowing her brows she followed the pathway that the Earth had left and saw the girl making a mad dash for the machine which was still erupting with the poisonous virus. "Insolent."The Amazonian pushed off the ground, catching flight and caught up to the young Earth mover in moments. Still in flight, she grabbed her from the arm, painfully twisting it in its socket and causing the muscle fibers around her shoulder to tremble as it strained in its new, unnatural position. "You think yourself a hero?"Aresia hissed into her hear in a pejorative tone as her teeth gnashed against one another. "You think you know what is best for this world?"She continued, turning the girl to face her completely, her grip still form and without remorse. Whatever kindness or mercy she had expressed before was all gone now. The only thing that remained was the seething rage that Atlee had summoned in her betrayal. To turn from her sisters and to turn from her own group, what a disgrace, what an embarrassment - Aresia would not hesitate to rid of weak links just like her. Atlee's statement brought a rather cold and chilling laughing as she mused over the girl's words. Hurt her? Relinquish the antidote? Was this girl daft? Clearly this was the case as her naivety was serving her as quite the failure today. Aresia licked her lips, using her free hand to toy with Atlee's loose, raven colored locks and when she finally pulled in close to her forehead, she flicked the young woman along the temple. "You could never hurt me young Earth mover." Aresia began, tightened her grip on Atlee's wrist and twisting it to contortion, "And I shall never stop to satisfy your needs, whatever brainwashing this society has done to you... it has clearly set it. I'm sorry young Earth mover, but your insubordination has only set you up to join the same fate as these men."She released her grip on Atlee, and pushed her rather forcibly to the ground, callous and unmoved by the sounds the young woman emitted. "A pity." Aresia muttered as she brandished her sword and twirled it in one hand, "Your valor would have designated you as a fine warrior, Athena would be proud." She swung her sword with such amazing force, prepared to decapitate Atlee.[/div]

Atlee hadn't been expecting to be so unmatched against Aresia. Her Stratan strength meant nothing here...her people were peace keepers, not fighters and she had to wonder if it wouldn't of been a better idea to run...but running no she couldn't have just blindly turned her back on these people.
Her arm was grabbed with a force that had her gritting her teeth, and trying to change her footing, as the arm was wrenched higher and the pain became more severe and the small cry that had been about to pass her lips turned into a scream of agony. Her muscles trembled and shook causing the muscles in her arm to shake under the pressure, a little bit more to the left and her arm would either break or be dislocate.
No.
Instinctively she tried to go down to get on her knees to lessen the pain and possibility for injury. As the hand curled around her own tightened and disrespected her for her choice in sharing the fate of the filth.
The crack of her bone breaking was loud in her ears, so loud it nearly blocked out everything she'd said to her.
"Aaaarrrgggaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!"
The scream that passed her lips was filled with agony, as the Earth spiraled up some ten feet behind Aresia, just twisted up and doing no damage, the formation was the just a foot shorter then the wall. Black dots spotted her vision, and she didn't put up a fight when she was pushed to the ground. The Earth trembled under her, reacting under the pain, the blind pull of the power she truly possessed.
As her eyes glowed brighter, the purple completely engulfing the whites of her eyes, the color so bright it leaked out of the corners.
Don't give up...I can't, I must keep fighting...
The wall that Atlee had put to limit herself suddenly crumbled down. The Earth's small tremors turned heavier, turned violent, as she lay there on the ground the intensity deepened, building groaned under the onslaught of the shock waves. The water in the Hudson River over flowed in the surrounding streets.
It wasn't just New York reacting to the young Earth mover, it reached far further than that. She was connected to the Earth Mother so her reach in this life or death situation was fierce.
As she breathed out, spikes came up from the ground around her, missing her and curling over every available surface her body wasn't covering. Her body was covered in a cold sweat and she was fighting shock.
Her arm spasmed against her side, hanging limply there, but ever contraction of her muscles, ever bit of pain that came when her arm tightened up there was a sporadic shaking that the Earth it self took, this moment of three seconds was where nothing moved only shook and it's rock like structure cracked and chipped in several places making it weak and easily broken.
Atlee had used the rocks to help flip away from the sword coming down to decapitate her. As she stumbled to her feet, she was quite the pathetic opponent, her body hunched over, sweat on her brow and her body shaking with the Earth ever sixty seven seconds for three seconds at a time, where it was as though she couldn't move either.
As she curled her fist rocks began moving to engulf the device, the poisonous gas. She swallowed, her mouth dry and unable to speak, as she wasn't sure what sort of backlash she'd bring if all she did was scream in agony. Atlee didn't feel the sticky blood that shewas loosing from getting cut by the sword Aresia had swung, the wound had cut into her left side and nicked her stomach, and ran down her jeans and came out over her bare feet, staining them red.
Damn...I'm loosing blood.
She jerked her head up watching as the Earth came up around her, it's rocks forming over her body, encasing her body in a thin rock like armor that helped keep the blood from continuing to flow and pull at the wound. Her right arm was encased in rock as well giving it more support, as she let her arm hang at her side. She looked at Aresia, hoping that perhaps this could end. As another sixty seven seconds passed she watched as the large wall that was constructed, give a massive shudder before a several cracks formed in it, as two of the cracks over lined the wall from ten feet up and she frowned seeing it cave and drop towards the ground.
Drawing a small labored breath, Atlee looked at Aresia watching her movements, as she tried to think of a way to simply survive at this point.

Tremors. They could be felt from all over the city, from the subway to the highest skyscraper. The streets cracked and fire hydrants rupture, this made walking almost impossible for Freddy Freeman as he made his way outside of his apartment. People stood in awe from the safety of their stoops and porches and the street began to split in two. It couldnt have been earthquake, it couldnt be New York hasn't experienced an earthquake since 1944.
"What the hell is that?"
Freddy said stumbling around on the shifting concrete, trying his best to maintain his balance on his crutches. Whatever was causing this disturbance was anything but natural. He quickly hobbled back into his hallway pushing by the many people trying to get a glance at the mayhem happening outside. He made his way down the hallway, forcing his weight against the fire escape door and into the back alleyway.
“CAPTAIN MARVEL!”
Freddy shouted into the heavens as the clouds in the sky began to gather and grow dark. Bolts of of lightning began to crackle and fill the sky before finally reigning down upon the crippled Freddy Freeman transforming him into Captain Marvel Jr.
“Much better.”
Junior smiled dis guarding his crutches to the ground and levitating upward into the air. Finding the origin point of this destruction was not difficult, the wreckage lead from street always the way back towards the center of the city. Freddy knew of very people who had the power to manipulate earth let alone create such tremors. Using the speed of mercury Junior extended his both arms in front of his body as he began to rip through the skies of the city, following the many sights of wreckage.

The Earth around her trembled but her stance did not falter. The girl however, was a lot more elusive than Aresia had anticipated and with a quick brush of the Earth, she had rolled out of the way, avoiding the severing of her head. The majestic blade continued forward with its momentum and with a loud clang, cut cleaning through the asphalt, threatening to slice down into the very core. With a grunt, she lifted her arm, pulling the sword out of the ground and twirling it with extreme ease in her hand. Her body propelled forward, following after the young Earth mover, but suddenly the proud Amazonian warrior stopped. Her ears perked and the sound of crunching metal rang throughout her ears. She narrowed her eyes, averting her gaze from Atlee and turning to the device to see – in her horror – the Earth beginning to envelope around the machine. “No!”She cried out, twirling on the spot and making a quick dash for the machine. In two or three long strides she had already advanced onto the machine and was now tearing the Earth away. Her fingers clawed at the hard rock and the mixture of sedimentation and igneous Earth crumbled under her might as she tore it apart from the machine. The Earth however did not falter and continued to grow, encapsulating her pride and joy. She growled, reassessed the situation and turned back to Atlee. The machine was beeping down, some sort of warning or power failure no doubt, but Aresia had only one choice and to ignore it. There was hissing and screeching in the background, and based on the specific set of sounds that subsequently followed, she could only assume the virus was no longer being released into the air. “You wretched child.” Was all she could muster through her clenched teeth as she tightened her fists into neat little balls. She had sheathed her large weapon now and could only see and hear the sound of the moving Earth and Atlee’s frail figure as it tried to regain its composure. “You will fit well into the underworld, you pitiful excuse for life.” She stepped forward, seeing the encircling of spikes as a weak excuse for a defense. Her hand easily grabbed one and tore it off the ground. Using the same slab of Earth, she swung it like a club and obliterated the next few barriers that stood in her way. Punching through the Earth, she continued her onslaught not even breaking a sweat as the Earth continued and rise and finally she came upon the young Earth mover. There were no longer words that would escape her mouth, instead she advanced yet again, but then paused at the shadow that lingered over her. Looking up, she caught the first descending debris and felt the rest of the dust particles begin to litter her body. The wall of Earth that towered her began to form cracks and creases and finally began to crumble, threatening to bury her with its might. “You are, rather difficult.”Aresia said with a smirk, bending her knees and pushing off the ground to successfully maneuver through the air. Just in time as well, to avoid the falling wall. She lingered only for a moment to see the might Earth fall, then turned back to Atlee and dove. Her arms hung overhead, and as she landed she slammed them down, the hands clasped together and her hands like clubs now. They smashed into the ground, the combined weight of her force and body causing the Earth to crack and splinter around her and Atlee and then finally allowing the weak structure that was Grand Central to cave in on itself and bring Atlee crashing to the abandoned network of train tracks beneath the otherwise busy street. “You are not the only one who can move the Earth.” The Amazonian muttered, dropping down in the large gash she had created and flying at full speed forward Atlee, her fist balled and ready to send a clean and powerful blow to the center of her face.
