Long, slim fingers ran through her now once again short hair. It had been long down to her mid back, giving her that wild girl appearance but out in Africa it had been normal to have long hair, to just enjoy the peace that was so hard to find now that she was back in the city.
It was weird to have the short black locks again, but it had been sort of a way to bring herself back to the life of a superhero, back to being known as Terra and not at Atlee the earth wielder, as she'd been known in the towns of Africa and over some of the other Souther countries.
Her knee pulled to her chest as she leaned her cheek against her leg and let her other leg dangle over the edge of the dock she sat on watching the stars and the ocean beyond a little nestalgic to be back after being away so long. She sighed softly to herself, her expression displaying her emotions openly. She'd picked up the habit of not hiding them and she kind of enjoyed the freedom of it.
She felt the earth vibrate under her, to all by herself they would feel nothing at all, but to her it was light vibrations many small ones, young malnourished footsteps; girls, she just knew.
Twisting her body she stood up the movement graceful and fluid another thing she had adapted in her travels.
She walked further back to the docks and removed her boot with her foot before slamming her bare foot on the ground, no sound immited from the strike, but to her closed eyes and open ears she felt the vibrations up her body and outward easily able to pinpoint where the young girls were being lead.
----
Hiding behind some large cargo crates, Atlee was able to see the thirteen young frightened girls of different nationalities, they were between ten and fourteen, if she had to guess. As she watched them get locked in the dark container huddled together in the far corner as darkness consumed them.
From her vantage point she counted about twenty guards and she was assuming more were below deck on the ship. They were getting ready to take them somewhere, deeper into American territory or perhaps somewhere on the Eastern black market to be sold, she wasn't sure.
"Don't move or I'll blow your head off!"
The words didn't quite frighten her as much as the feel of the barrel of a gun against the back of her head.
You really need to remember to pay attention to your surroundings, Atlee.
Raising her hands above her head, in the universal sign for surrender. She allowed herself to be lead out into the open area and surrounded by ten men all with guns pointed at her.
Atlee knew she needed to stay calm and play this carefully, she couldn't allow herself to be taken out. Who would help those girls, if something happened to her? There was no one but her around, at least that was what she thought.

Unknown to the terrakinetic. A man had been following the human trafficers for a couple wdeeks now. Why was This man following the trafficers? Simple two of the girls were taken from the United States of America, and that was something he had to deal with.
It had been two weeks since young Jessica Rexroat had been taken from the side of the road in middle of nowhere in Lorton, Virginia. She had been taken at the age of 14, because she was alone naive and in her cheerleading uniform. The blonde haired, blue eyes girl who stood at five foot two inches, and weighed in at 92 pounds, was completely taken unaware when some "nice people" stopped to give her a ride after her bike chain snapped. She left behind a boyfriend, a brother and her parents.
It had been nearly eight days since young, 14 year old, Melissa Grey was taken from Loiusville, Kentucky. Again she was alone. Melissa foolishly decided to walk home as she usually did after her gymnastics practice. But that night was a very different night. Not only had she been walking hours later than usual, but also there were an unusual group of men on the streets of Louisville. Young Melissa left behind a girlfriend, two parents, a sister, and unknown to her girlfriend, an older boyfriend.
But today was the day of reckoning, the day when they shall pay for their crimes. After following and observing, it would appear they have committed their crimes on a much grander scale.. Conor could stand it no more, Conor had just witnessed then take yet another girl, and he was not going to suffer that.
Conor's eyes glowed to the normal shade of red they always do just be he uses them as weapons. A few seconds later, a short burst of red thermal energy flw from each of his eyes directly at the firearm pointed at the terrakinetic girl, the ould be hero.
At nearly that instant, the ammunition detonated, and the pistol exploded sending flaming hot steel fragmentation at several hundred feet per second into the gunman's face.
"AHHHHH!!!!" Was heard echoing from the gunman's hand, while a thunderous voice was hear from Conor as he fell from the sky.
"The time for justice has come criminals! I am justiice become flesh! Release the girls now!"

Atlee turned her body arms going up to shield her eyes from the rest of the shrapnel that rained down apron her body. Her purple eyes glowed faintly as she touched along her element but didn't move yet.
You fool, you're too rash, putting the lives of these people in jeopardy needlessly...
Atlee wasn't one to cause possible permeant damage to her enemies, her morals wouldn't allow it. She saved people, good or bad, it's what being a hero meant.
As the men started to open fire, she ran towards the men who to her was a younger Superman but without the brains.
Eyes glowing a brighter purple she ran over to him, moving her hand in a sweeping motion, the earth responded and came up and over, easily knocking the armed men to the ground and rolling over them to where just their heads were bare, the earth didn't crush them simply cradled them.
She jabbed a finger at his chest, her expression stoney. As the bullets stopped flying and if they did she'd easily in cased them in flying discs of rock. "Who do you think you are? You could have killed him, is that what you're trying to do? You can't wear that insignia and have no regard for the lives you face in battle!" she told him gesturing to the man that lay on the ground hands covering his bleeding eyes, his sight probably gone for good.
The girls could wait, this Superman wannabe needed to be put in his place.

Kon-El searched around looking for any and all target threats to himself or the girls, ignoring the one with the finger to his chest. Once he was satisfied that all threats were neutralized he finally addressed the young woman.
"First of all, the primary objective is to neutralize the enemy combatants or operators. Second is to remove any and all potential escalatable threats. Speaking of which..."
Kon-El began to walk around neutralizing the bad guys' weapons, and then spoke some more.
"Third is to secure the area and all friendlies. I don't knwo why you freaked out, the design of his pistol and ammunition mnatrually forces the majority of the heat, energy and potential shrapnel back at the user's face.
Finally, after the objective and area of operations have been secured, we need to gather intel of the bad guys and the girls. We need to find out who's responsible for this, and where to take them home."
Conor finally de-escalated from his combat stance and mentality.
"Now would you like to do the interrogation or talk to the girls? And to answer your question, no I was not trying to kill him. I neutralized him in the most effecient way possible. If he died, it would not have been the best result, nor the worst."
Conor looked over the man on the ground and tried to learn from him bu looking at style of dress, trying to determine his accent, or his physical features to determine his origin.

“Now would you like to do the interrogation or talk to the girls? And to answer your question, no I was not trying to kill him. I neutralized him in the most efficient way possible. If he died, it would not have been the best result, nor the worst."
Atlee couldn’t keep the hiss of frustration as she listened to him. She wanted to hit him or bury him six feet under and it wasn’t often she felt such anger, it was rare for her. Her hands shook in her rage and the earth responded the ground vibrating under her feet. She stomped her foot in frustration as she kept her hands at her side to keep from striking out at him.
“You’ll never be Superman. You’re, you’re nothing like him! He’d never do that! Never! Even Batman has class, and you! You just throw your weight around like your something special. You’re not. If you don’t get your act together Kon-L you’re going to get us into trouble!”
She raged at him, and even as she did, the earth responded to her command, curving up around the injured man and the slab of earth pulled from its core and the sides built bars so he wouldn’t roll out or fall, there was no top to it. She walked away from Kon-L and up easily with the way of the rock stepping stones and touched his shoulder.
“Don’t worry, I’ll get you some help…just hang on.”
With a flick of her wrist she sent the man floating at a speed that wasn’t terribly fast but quick enough that there was chance, the doctors at the emergency room…might be able to save his sight or at least some of it.
“Just stop talking, and stay right there, keep look out or something. I’ll talk to the girls; all you’ll do is scare them.”
She threw the comment over her shoulder at him, as she made her way over towards the container, taking her time as she had a feeling this Superman wannabe was about to give her an ear full, she almost hoped he’d try it and then maybe she could make the Earth spit him out in its core…not that she’d ever do anything so barbaric.

“Just stop talking, and stay right there, keep look out or something. I’ll talk to the girls; all you’ll do is scare them.” "Ten, four. You handle the girls."At that Konner moved at about Mach 4 assembling the other bad guys into a small group about 500 feet away from the girls, made then get on their knees and spoke to them. "There are several of you so this coudl take long. It all depends on you. Over the years of experience and the programming I was given, I have all of the CIA's The Activity, and Military Intelligence's interrogation techniques and skills...
HOWEVER... I have decided that an old fashioned approach might be more effect and more fun for me. Keeping that in mind, I have decided that I am going to ask you a few questions. One question, and one person at a time.
If I sense that you are not being fully honest with me when you answer, or if you chose not to answer you will be punished. After that punishment, I will move on to the next person. This pattern will continue until I have all of the information I want, or all of you are dead. If it comes to all of you being dead, I will heat up your dead remains until they atomize leaving no evidence of your deaths."Konner let out a slight chuckle at the mens' shock in response to his statements, and then he began. "You. Where are you from?"The man responded in correctly. "f&@k you! I ain't tellin' ya shit. You're on of the supposed good guys. You wont' hurt me!"As soon as the last sound escaped the thug's mouth, Konner was on him at at speed purposefully fast enough to be just barely perceptible, and after grabbing the guy's left pinky finger, crushed it so that the bones was shattered but didn't puncture the skin. A horrid scream of pain escaped his lips as he was hunched over on the ground cradling his injured finger. "So second man. Where are you from?"The second man spoke in a heavy Mexico City accident. "Alright man. I'll tell you just don't do that to me! I am from Mexico City, Federal District, United Mexican States."The man was clearly terrified into being as forth coming and honest as he could, not wanting to suffer the same fate. "Good. Bueno. So my Hispanic friend, you get a pas son the next question.
You. Third man. Are you for here for cause or money, and who do you work for.?"The third man looked around nervously and spoke, in a heavy french accent. "I want to tell you, but the voice that hired me said, and had proof, that they had my family under watch and would kill them if I turned on them. So I can't tell you."That was apparently NOT the answer Kon-L was looking for and it elicited a negative response from Konner. "AHHHHH!!!" could be heard by anyone within ear-shot as a two focused heat beams bored through the man's left bicep. They wee extremely painful; more painful than the mercenary had, before this, believed was possible. The damage was so that he would probably never be able to lift anything significant with that arm any more. However, the good news is that he wouldn't bleed to death due to the Cauterization from the heat of the beams.

Aislinn had been in quite a vulnerable state when she was picked up off the streets of San Francisco. Now she was in a pickle and she could only wait as she and the other twelve girls were lead away and into the container. When it was her turn she dug her heels into the rough ground and refused to budge and struggled against the guards. This resulted in her getting smacked with the butt of a gun and when she still didn’t move she was picked and thrown carelessly into the container with the other girls, landing on her back with a grunt. The fall didn’t have her down for long, she had been thrown down or just thrown in general far harder by Tesla… her capturer, mentor, father just who was he to her anyway? She didn’t even know, but now was no time to go on a trip down memory lane. It was time for action. She jumped up to her feet, her human disguise flickering before it went back into place(or so she thought it had), she was glaring at the man as he slammed the container door closed a look of panic on his face, leaving her and the other girls in darkness. She growled softly in her throat, her fingers and hands shaking, vibrating as her anger grew. She had a quick temper, especially when she was tired and hungry both of which she was. So her temper was short, very short. She had been one of the last girl’s taken, mistaken for a child, by the band of foolish men who thought she was just your everyday street girl. But she wasn’t your everyday street girl. She was a Voltriaian and a very angry one at that.
The weakened and angry Voltriaian ignored the girls and sat down and glared at the door, waiting. Waiting and saving up her energy for a retaliation in response to what they had done to her(and the girls but they weren’t her top priority), once she could channel her electrical energy into a sphere, she’d be able to bust out of this stupid and dark container… She was going to get them back for what they did to her. …. As soon as she got those stupid humans behind to her to SHUT UP so that she could think!
Why are they screaming anyway? she thought in annoyance as she turned back toward them and that only caused them to scream louder, some whimpered and they all huddle closer together in their corner. Wait… why could she see so easily if they were in darkness? The familiar hum and crackle of her true form caught her attention and she looked down seeing two pronged feet instead of clawed feet that were usually covered by her shoes. A wisp of glowing purple hair touched her cheek making her purple hair and skin spark and crackle at the contact.
She gave a tired hissing sigh.
So that’s why.
They could see her and she could see them easily thanks to her being a lightning being. And lightning was light so she was literally living light bulb.
Only her light wasn’t appreciated and the humans behind her acted like she was going to eat them or something equally silly and stupid and dumb and just plain idiotic.
Surge rolled her eyes her goggles hiding the fact that she even rolled her eyes at all and turned back to the door, the locked door.
She pointed at the door with her three clawed fingers, each finger sparking before the sparks climb up and out meeting in the middle of the tips of her claws, forming a tiny sphere of electricity which grows larger and larger with how much energy she pushes out of herself, out of her fingertips and into the growing sphere of electricity. Her lips set in grim satisfaction as she pulled her arm back and threw her electric sphere at the door like a pitcher would throw a baseball. The electric sphere slams into the container door sending the locked door bursting back with a loud bang as the lock breaks under the force of the sphere sent its way.
Surge walked out the door pausing but not looking over her shoulder at the girls. “You all should leave now.” She muttered softly, just loud enough to be heard by the girls who had gone completely silent after she blown the metal door nearly off its hinges. If she had been at full strength that door would have been blown clean off its hinges and flying away. Aislinn shook her head and walked out of the container and right smack dab into yet another problem!
Dammitalltohell! she thought in fury not even trying to control the speed of her thoughts as she glared at the two strangers. One was a man and the other a woman an earth controller; that is if the earth was anything to go by. And they were both heroes it seemed. And to her they both spelled trouble, especially the male seeing as he was frying everyone with… were those lasers coming from his eyes?! Great what was she supposed to do now? She could run but for some reason she didn’t find it in herself to do so and she wasn’t sure why.
