N I G H T W I N G The kick landed rather cleanly and Dick smirked as he landed back on the ground and quickly turned. His bo staff had already become extended in mid-air and he snapped them in half, creating two separate weapons that he would use to bludgeon Bane – to death at this rate. He turned on the balls on his feet, prepared to deliver a follow up to the hulking mass, but then suddenly the bright light from the huge LCD television screen in the corner diverted his attention. There on the screen before him was Bludhaven, his city, his responsibility – LITERALLY – burning to the ground. His face darkened as he slowly turned to Bane who was continue to relish in his success. He was bringing this bird down ever so slowly. He grit his teeth as he stared down Bane, or at least in this case up as the man towered him. He had set his specifications for their encounter. Dick would have to fight for the safety of his city, Bane was giving him no other choice. What would Batman do? Too late to think like that, Dick had to handle the situation as it was in front of him now. “Alright Bane, you want this fight? I’ll give it to you.”Dick growled as he lit four flares and threw them before him. They scattered on the ground and rolled to a stop around the two fighters. Their faint red glow and flickering allowed enough luminance so that both men could look into each other’s eyes exchanging the years of contempt created between the two. Letting out a breath, Dick positioned himself, grimacing slightly as the pain began to settle into his body again. He pushed those thoughts aside and immediately rushed forward, faking a jab to instead through the second piece of his bo staff straight into Bane’s side. He felt it land, and while it did not cause so much damage, it still made Bane hunch over slightly. Using this moment to his advantage, Dick climbed onto Bane’s back and pulled at venom tubes, ridding of his supply. He then quickly wrapped his arm the man’s neck, attempting to choke him out – or if totally necessary Dick was prepared to break Bane’s neck.

The birdy finally listened to Bane's rather simple demands and as the fight continued, he proved he had a little fight. Smashing him with weapons of some sort as he struck at him.
"That's two."
As he leaped on his back, Bane pondered the situation. Removing the Venom was bothersome and now trying to choke him out. It was an interesting circumstance to say the least as Bane merely kept his composure throughout the ordeal. He would win, he already knew this and with a choke hold, Bane simply grabbed at the birdy and threw him over his back as he smirked towards him.
"And that's three. But, enough of the real fun. As interesting as this situation was for me, you are not the target here. Just a tool more or less. Consider me a courier and you the message. And with that said, I think it's about time to force your hand."
Bane said as he went into his pocket and clicked the remote. The T.V. soon changed channels to a room with a very sinister individual inside holding a briefcase. The Individual was showing a messy mohawk and looked like he wasn't right in the head.
"If you haven't already guessed, you're looking at a live feed. His face may evade your memory but his name is a different story for sure: The Mad Dog."
Bane said, letting the name roll off his lips. The Mad Dog was notorious amongst the League of Assassins and well known in the realm of the Batfamily. A vicious, master assassin who went on ferocious killing sprees, his hand to hand combat ability surpassing many in the world. He stood there, guarding the briefcase as if it was a job. And he looked on edge. Bane then clicked the remote to show another room. Next to the room, was a door of some sort. Inside the room however, the hired warriors of Bane were holding up a school room with a large amount of frightened children in it. It was clear they were around ten or so.
"He's been instructed to treat all who aren't League members as enemies attempting to steal the product. Do you know what would happen then if we threw in a child towards him as if they were trying to jump at him? How long do you think those children would last? Would it be quick or would they suffer? Let's find out."
Bane said as he clicked the remote twice. In a moment, one of the members grabbed a little girl by the hair. She screamed for her life as she was slowly dragged towards the door, kicking and screaming as if it would grant her freedom. Only one thing would stop her suffering though. As he did this, he shoved his Venom tubes back into his neck with a grunt of pain.
"Here's what's going to happen. You will submit or watch children be slaughtered. You don't seem like the type to do that though. We are going to make a video. We will fight, you will defend yourself as best as you can. However, there is a catch. You're not allowed to land another strike or submission on me. Doing so will result in the loss of the lives of Bludhaven's future. Submit to my simple demand and the League will leave Bludhaven. Doing anything else will result in it's people being slaughtered."
Bane said towards Nightwing with a menacing voice. This was why he knew he was going to win. There was no police force that could enter that building and be able to take on The Mad Dog. He knew this, and he knew Dick would know this. It was a situation that was a loss-loss for Dick. But, being the 'hero' he was, he'd sacrifice himself for his people. The Martyr method was always fascinating to Bane and with that knowledge and preparation for this moment.
"There is no-one that can stop this except for you. Batman can't save you. This is your time. This is your sacrifice you must make. It's also one The Bat would never make, he believes that he is 'needed' to remain. You know better. You know that your only choice is to submit. If you accept my terms, I want you to get into a fighting position. Feel free to say anything you want before that though."

N I G H T W I N G Just as he felt his submission set in place and was ready to tighten his hold, Dick felt a tug at his collar and immediately he was thrown off Bane and onto the floor. He groaned as he hit the concrete and for a moment air would not make it to his lungs. He rolled slightly, trying to get back onto his stomach to push himself up. He was losing strength and the collision with the floor was bringing up all the pains he had accumulated over the week. Finally her was able to come up again, but this time, he could only muster enough strength to crouch on the ground and lay his arm over his knee. The T.V screen flickered on again, and this time it was Mad Dog who appeared on it. Dick's eyes opened wide and he listened and watched as Bane spoke. Mad Dog was no joke and he certainly lived up to his name. An insanely formidable martial artist and individual, the Batfamily knew exactly what he was capable of. He had no sense of morals, no considerations, no cares for anything outside of himself and whatever pleased him. This chess game was nearing its end and Bane had placed his piece into place for the ultimate check mate. Dick listened as he set the rules and he knew now that there was no wait out of this, no way to save Bludhaven but to accept defeat. He grimaced as he slowly rose and looked at Bane with every ounce of contempt and abhorrence he had developed over the years towards the criminal mastermind. Was this revenge for leaving him under the pile of rubble a few weeks ago. He wasn't sure, there was no time to contemplate over the ifs ands and buts. The young girl's screams still echoed in his ears and as he closed his eyes he thought he could hear the faint screams and sirens from Bludhaven echo throughout his head. He had no choice but to accept. He had to accept humiliation. He had to accept defeat. He had to save Bludhaven and this was the only way. Bane looking at him expectantly as he allowed Dick the courtesy of final words before his shameful defeat. Dick shook his head and slowly, with some effort and his face twisting in pain he assumed a fighting position. "There's nothing worth saying to you Bane."Dick began as he began to circle, his arms flexing as he prepared himself. "Let's end this madness now."No emotion was in his tone as he sprang forward and prepared the dueled. There was no intent to land any hits, there was no way he would be able to under these terms. He threw a jab, then a cross, followed by a hook. All which he allowed Bane to avoid easily, then another jab- missed and finally he lifted his leg and brought it down for a seemingly powerful axe kick.

Bane smirked as he looked towards Nightwing's body language. And he saw what he was waiting for: Defeat. He cracked his neck to the side and smirked towards his foe. He saw the victory, now to make it worth all the while. He maneuvered to the strikes, blocking and maneuvering to his left and right. When a kick came, he would grab it and throw Nightwing on his back, then let him get up. With a punch, he'd grab his wrist and throw him to the side, toying with him. And then a flurry. Right cross followed by a backhand with his left, hitting square in the jaw both times as the beating was received. He delivering a knee to Nightwing's abdomen, knocking the wind out of him. As he made another attempt for a kick, this time an axe kick, Bane would grab the leg with his left hand.
"It's a shame, Batman just wanted to train one to at least be his equal to replace him when he finally perished. Hoping for better even. It seems none of his efforts will be with reward however, all this waste. Much like the rest of this 'Batman Incorporated' that Bruce Wayne is wanting to accomplish. If you're wondering, this is a live feed. I've taken the pleasure of putting this on Gotham's main news station."
Bane said, pointing towards the camera. Dick struggled, trying to do a flip out of Bane's grip, only to be tossed into a wall face first. The impact of it causing a loud thud. And blood trickled from Nightwing's mouth as he laid on the ground, still in Bane's grip as he smirked.
"They are also watching Bludhaven burn. I am a man of my word however, they will leave it in it's current ashes. Make no mistake however Gotham, this too will be your fate so long as Batman remains unable to defeat me. And now, for the finishing credits on this program, to be announced to you by Bludhaven's hero...or should I say martyr himself, Nightwing."
In a moment, Bane lifted up Nightwing's leg in his hand. He glanced at it with solemn disregard. A look that a warrior knew meant that this was going to be the blow that would end the fight. And that it would as suddenly, Bane's right leg smashed down onto Nightwing's kneecap. With a powerful snap, shortly followed by a muffled scream. Nightwing tried to not let it show but, he was in unimaginable pain. Upon that, he simply tossed Nightwing by the same leg to the side, as if a piece of garbage, as he then pressed a button. Within a moment, the fires and screaming in Bludhaven slowly started to stop. The League was leaving, but they left their mark. And Bane delivered his message: No-one was safe.
