What if instead of an Invasion Earth gets marked for Destruction? So like a giant robot force comes to break the planet down for parts. The Heroes find a way to stop it but then have to figure out who has listed Earth for destruction and try to fund a way to change their mind or stop them Perhaps the "Lost Planet" thread I recently started could be the precursor to this plot idea. We could say that the seemingly abandoned planet the stranded league members land on was actually once teeming with life before it experienced a hostile takeover by an elitist alien race who is performing a "cleansing" or "purging" of the universe. We could say that while the league members actually don't interact with them, their presence alone is enough for the alien race to find their next target for their cleansing. When the stranded league members finally leave the planet, they unknowingly set a destination path for the destructive alien race to the planet Earth. -- sorry if whatever I wrote was confusing, I just basically free wrote that to get the idea out before it simply... disappeared lol.

I can go with that - what Leaguers are we talking about here - how can we thread that on to your thread? Xara's not JLA sadly. But Wondy... Cassie, maybe if, it was a joint mission? Just wondering who can link the two things together.

Like the Earth is a big place even for Supes. My Idea was that there would be attacks happening all over the at the same time with Machines that are powerful enough that we see the heroes forced to stretch themselves too thin. Maybe we win some we lose some and that Leads to Xara's plot with with us taking over as a means to protect the world?

Taking over is the logical thing to do, Kal-El ...
Actually, Nightwingy just called it in the c-box, citing Injustice, Gods Among Us, as reference point.
I that LOVE idea.

So, if I'm reading this right, there are two things going on.
1 - the JLA is blamed for destroying a world and is due payback by an as yet unspecified alien baddie. 2 - SOMEONE important is killed by a major villain and is in turn despatched by a hero - thus causing a schism in the superhero ranks. 3 - meanwhile the aliens attack which - if it hasn't happened already - totally polarises the hero community as some want "lead" humanity and others see their duty only as protectors... which will cause them to turn on each other?
Or am I reaching - please comment, team.

In this instance the Heroes take over the planet not in response to a death or threat but rather it saves the planet from further Alien threat. So in a sense we create a world free of crime but without us going over board to do so. With the heroes in charge the alien attack stops and the planet is safe while we sort out what does it means. That superheroes run things now

Well.. seems like Lobo wants a big but whooping by us all.
"Yeah cause it's gonna take ALL yer sorry butts ta take out the Main Man"
And with the official posturing aside, I'd still like in on this idea.... I see you all talking about. If the JLA IS blamed for taking out a planet, a good plot contrivance would be Lobo being sent to take the necessary pound of flesh for said destruction of said planet. JLAers "kill" him, chaos and finger pointing erupts. Lobo might pop up later to admire his handiwork, maybe even convinced (Ie paid) that he needs to help out
I've not read/seen Injustice and only gotten little bits of info on it.
Possible thoughts?
