Fingers where flying on the computer key board as Lois Lane was typing up the story of a lifetime, well it wasn't really life time because tomorrow there would be another story of a life time and if not tomorrow than sometime this week. This one was about and old Chinese man and the mystery meat in his food, that turned out to be something the public really didn't want to know about but Lois was going to tell them anyway. It was just another day in the life of a reporter, and though this wasn't the greatest story in her life and most likely she would forget all about it next week, the thing was it was important right now; and it was the only story she could get her hands on at the moment. It really had been a slow news week and there really wasn't anything going on that hadn't been covered twice over already; that what was leading Lois Lane to write this little piece.
Since Lois was so intent on this story, she hadn't had time to notice the going on around her; the normal office stuff, people making copies or getting coffee, the gossip about who was doing what and with whom, and other such things that went on daily. Lois didn't even notice if her reporting partner Clark Kent had arrived to work yet or not, since Lois tended to be the first one at the Daily Planet ever day. After all she didn't really have much of a home life outside of work, oh true she dated once and a while but most of the guys where just; for lack of better words; creep. It wasn't that she wanted to be an old maid, but if you asked her she would just simply say she didn't have time right now.
Fingers flying across the keyboard without stopping, Lois soon had a full story written out and ready for printing. With one click of her mouse the printer roar to life, and just in time for as the page was printing out, Perry White came out of his office door and yelled for Lois to get in there. By the sound of his voice he had some interesting news to share with her, maybe a good story was popping up finally; or it about something she had written; but she was hopping for the good story. So taking her latest's hot lead off the printer, Lois Lane marched right into Perry's office, where apparently he hadn't been alone.

Clark had not slept in about two days, not that missing sleep was anything new. In truth he had just not felt tired as of yet, it had been relatively quiet the last few days, there were not great issues that arose that had required him to really exert himself. When things were not very busy for Superman, Clark Kent got to have one of his legendary stretches of high productivity. Some quick profiles of events that were all but bubbling up around the world had been done. A nice little piece on a black diamond that had recently gone missing and its haunting past, and a great little piece questioning if Kobra was more of terrorist organization or a religion; Clark like to think the piece posed a lot of good questions but he was not sure how Perry would feel about it. With these articles all but ready to head to the printer Clark would be find to focus his time on the world at large for a few more weeks while still being able to look into things with Lois as she saw fit. Clark’s ability to work so diligently without sleep was part of the reason he and Lois made such a great team, he was there when she needed him to be and he was still able to get things done.
The soft hiss of the hydraulics gently preceded the doors of the elevator opening; Clark stepped into the always busing bullpen of the Daily Planet. Clark exhaled as he exited the elevator taking a moment to refocus his super hearing. It was a daily practice that he had to preform when entering crowded places. Clark needed to be sure that he did not miss out one someone in the crowded space calling out to him versus them simply speaking about him. A feat that was a lot harder than one could imagine if you took into account the fact that every whisper came in to him just as clear as a regular conversation. The Bullpen was as busy and full as life as one would expect. Clark had always been proud to be a member of the planet’s team there was something that was right about the way this place was always bustling around looking for real news. That had always been something that Clark had been able to get behind. Scanning the many faces moving about the always hectic newsroom Clark noticed that he did not see one face in particular. Lois Lane, ace reporter and all around troublemaker, not seeing her was not always a point of concern; Lois had a wonderful habit of getting caught up in work; granted that habit also meant that the woman often saw her staring at the business end of danger. Clark liked to imagine that Lois had a set cool down period that slowed down just how often she placed herself in Danger. Not that one could really suggest there was rhyme and reason to the way that a woman like Lois lived her life.
Heading to Perry White’s office Clark thought it best to turn in his most recent story leads, Clark was ready to show his second piece as well. Something that bettered reflected the talks of a new mysterious costume person that had shown up recently. People say that she wore Superman’s own symbol on her chest though she did not look like she held in relation to the Supergirl that most claimed was his cousin. While there was not yet a set connection established between her and the man of steel it as worth noting that she had indeed been seen exchanging blows with the Man of Steel prior to at least aiding in saving lives. The question of who she was and where she came from was something that was still up in the air and the world was ready to start the discussion of just who was this “Superwoman.” Placing both of his stories with the facts as they knew them on Perry’s desk Clark sat down in a free chair so they could discuss the choices and see what direction that the wanted to go.
Clark had barley settled into his chair when the door burst open and there was Lois Lane herself in all her newshound glory. Clark pushed his glasses back up the bridge of his nose; it was something of a habit he had developed when Lois had come near. “Hey Lois,” Clark offered a simple if sheepish greeting as though he was not noticing that she had all but walked past him and intruded on his own meeting with the editor. That was kinda the way that things worked around the Planet, Lois had a bad habit of forgetting that other people were working here at the same time that she was.

Perry had called Lois Lane into his office, but the thing about Lois was she didn’t always come or do what she was told. Instead of jumping right at Perry’s call she waited, gathering her information and story together that she had been working on. Busy enough that she hadn’t notice Clark slipping into the office before her. The two of them had worked long enough together now that she didn’t always feel like he was trying to scoop her on stories. It had taken Lois a long while to trust Clark, as I’m sure he took him a while to trust her, there was still some times when she tried to sneak behind Clark’s back o do something but somehow he always found out about what she was up to.. Lois would make Perry wait about ten minutes after he had called her into the office, the fact that he hadn’t come back out to yell at her shocked Lois really. It wasn’t like Perry to just forget about calling Lois over for something, but he also knew it wasn’t like her for going more than a few hours without coming storming into his office and the two of them having a go at each other. With her information in her hands Lois stormed the office of Perry’s, like she did every day. Lois stormed right pass Clark, not really seeing him as he sat in the chair in front of Perry's desk. Truth was it wasn't just Clark, the Pope himself could be setting in that chair and Lois would blow right pass him if she had a hot story or some words to take out on Perry. "Perry I got this story I want to show you, best one for this week, though that's not saying much." Lois was about to go on but was caught up sort by the greeting Clark offered.
Lois stopped and turned, seeing Clark for the first time this morning. "Oh hi Clark when did you get here?" She wasn't trying to be mean she just really didn't know she hadn't seen him come to work or even when she came into the office.
