Her back against the plush chair she waited with a patience only matched by her father, he liked to have things in order, all in order. This wasn’t something she normally did but sometimes she did things out of character. She looked at the clock it would be a matter of time before the woman was home. Nothing was out of place, well except for maybe her. The youthful woman sitting on her lovely chair, her legs crossed showing off the blue jeans she wore and the nice long-sleeved black turtleneck, she was wearing. Her hair had grown longer it was now down to her shoulders. She’d be cutting it soon, but for now it would work, it left her harder to identify at first glance. Her wrist blades were on over the sleeves of her shirt, there wasn’t much she could do with them. Her feet were adorned with black boots; she looked rather sophisticated, for the few times she never dressed up.
Scandal’s brown eyes shifted around the apartment, taking the in the lavish pictures that doted the walls and everything else. She should be home shortly.
[/color] Came her thoughts as she waited for her to come home. This was a long overdue chat and she had plenty of things to say to her, and she knew how she’d start it off. As the lock twisted and she picked up the faint sound of keys, she sat up straighter, and was ready to move if needing to. The darkness that swirled up around her in dark apartment was flooded with light from the hallway as the door opened. She didn’t move from her spot, no she merely waited for the sound of the footsteps waiting to see if she’d turn on any lights or if she’d get to speak from the darkness, it would seem she’d get to follow the lines of the scary movies. She remained her manners, which wasn’t’ something most villains could say. “Miss. Al Ghul, we need to talk, and saying no isn’t in your son’s best interest” it was an empty threat, Scandal didn’t harm children, usually, all she needed to do was get her attention, and that was usually best the way, given her weaknesses. What most people didn't realize was Talia had her hands on some great systems that people only dreamed of. But when you where the daughter of a very wealthy man who had lived many life times, and the love interest of the Batman you could get her hands on what every security systems you wanted. So when Scandal had slipped into Talia's current apartment, for the young al Ghul didn't live in one place too long nor did she just have one home, unknown to the Scandal careful footsteps an alarm was sent off to Talia's personal phone. With a few clinks on her phone it brought up a set of cameras in the home, and thought he figure was shrouded in shadow's Talia could tell it was a woman and by the way she slipped into the apartment Talia knew she was a professional. Just watching for a few seconds Talia was able to tell a lot, this person was not only professional but seemed to not be looking for anything important, in fact it seemed as if the woman was waiting. Well if she was waiting on Talia to get home she would have some time to wait, and with a click the phone screen went black and it was once again stored away. After all right now Talia had other matters she had to see to and didn't have time to deal with a petty sneaker.
It would be hours before Talia made it to the small two bedroom apartment; truth was she debated on showing up or not. It wasn't that she was afraid of whatever woman was hiding in her current home, it was more to teach that person a lesson that just because you could sneak into her apartment didn't mean Talia didn't already know. Than again Talia wanted to know what was so important that this person dared bother her in solitude. Talia stopped a few floors below her apartment, living on the top floor she would take the elevator up to a random floor every day and than walk the rest of the way, or if she was really daring she would walk, ride, walk, and ride the rest of the way keeping her way of getting to her place random. Tonight however she rode up to the floor before hers and decided to walk the rest of the way. This allowed her to stash some information that she brought home and to pull out a gun, cock it, and then hide it among her again. Just before setting off on her little walk up the stairs Talia checked her hidden knifes and made sure she was ready for a fight if it came to it, once she was sure and then sure again than she went the rest of the way home.
With the ease of ages Talia slipped the key into the lock, unlocked the door and ease it open. There was a single light on in the living room where the woman was standing, but yet it caused enough shadows that Talia could not make out who it was right away. “Miss. Al Ghul, we need to talk, and saying no isn’t in your son’s best interest”
Taila just stood in her door way, looking at the shadow who was hiding in her apartment. She wasn’t worried about the safty of her son, for two very important reasons. One was her son could very well take care of himself and anyone who dared come after him; and two his son was with his father who although was very moody and brooded wouldn’t let harm come to the child.
“you must be either very foolish or have a death wish to break into my home. I’m leaning on the very foolish since you think that threatening my son’s safety will get you anywhere.” Talia loved her son, that much was true but she wasn’t easy to trick into giving up her high ground or showing weakness because of her feelings.

Nobody made an unnoticed move in Gotham, nobody and when the woman who had given birth to the Dark Knight's only (biological) son had an apartment nested in Gotham, a certain amount of special attention was paid to the area... the fact that she was a member of The League of Assassin's helped in that decision also.
Batman had known since Scandal had first set foot in Talia's apartment and had heard the entire conversation, he had enough respect for Talia's abilities to include a long-range listening device across the street in case the one's he'd hidden in the walls around Talia's Gotham home should mysteriously 'malfunction'.
The Dark Knight would have confronted Scandal as soon as he had've known of her intrusion if he weren't tied up with a gang's nighttime activities, albeit only briefly. He was in the Batmobile soon enough, speeding through Gotham towards the next issue of the night, beyond that it was a quick trip with a grappling hook up the side of the building to a window, which presented more of an issue due to the numerous advanced security systems Talia had added to prevent any simple entry. Ultimately though, with a couple of tools and a bit of manipulation of the system's electronics, Gotham's Knight made his silent entrance.
He had deliberately entered one room away, to Talia's right but behind Scandal. The door was open, which allowed Bruce to approach silently, his tall figure slowly sliding into the door's frame, looking like a grim Spectre, his outline black on black, clearly visible to Talia and only requiring a glance to be in Scandal's sight.
"Threats won't get you anywhere here." Bruce growled, stepping, still quietly though with infinitely more noise than he had previously be making, to stand just within Scandal's peripheral vision. "Gotham hears plenty every day... so speak." He said to her; she clearly had some business here and Bruce wasn't inclined to waste anyone's time and if you were going to threaten any companion of his, you'd better have a very good reason unless you didn't value your ribs very highly.

Scandal twisted her hand slightly rotating her wrist blades as she watched with a weariness as she heard and now saw Gotham's Dark Knight. Her eyes narrowed slightly and she stood her ground not moving or showing a single sign that she was unnerved, as she wasn't.
She was Vandal Savage's daughter and she never turned her back on her enemy, never and the Batman at the moment held little to do with her reason for being here. She was here for Talia, she wanted to know what the woman meant to Bane and why her father was so quick to want to sell her off to the man that was and always would belong to her.
Bane was a man only she could appreciate and only she could understand, he was special to her and he meant everything to her. Scandal Savage did not share with anyone, except on special circumstances and this was in no way one of them.
Scandal merely scuffed at Batman's words as though he had some right to know her business, that was not so, not by a long shot. This business didn't concern him, even if he and Talia still had a thing going, which she wasn't so sure to be the case. Although either way it had nothing to do with her, she only cared Talia left Bane alone and had nothing to do with him romantically or she'd find herself in a not so very pleasant situation at all.
"Why I'm here doesn't concern you, but if you must know, I shall continue..."
She let those words sink in as she casually crossed her muscular arms over her chest and tapped one elegant fingernail against the bare skin of her arm.
"What is your relationship with Bane, Talia? Why is your Father so insistent you shall belong to him?"
The question hung in the air and their was no masking the sneer that came from her when she asked about the other woman's dear old Daddy.

Another alert from her phone would have informed Talia that there was something else going on in the apartment, what it was she didn’t know nor did she have time to check. Chances was she already knew who was here, who else would find their way into her home without being invited here in Gotham than Batman. She would discover later that the alert was to inform her that one of her security devices had been taken out. When Batman walked into the room, Talia should have known that he was hanging around. Watching him walking out of the shadows of her back room Talia didn't know if she should feel faltered that he would check up on her, or insulted that he believe she couldn't handle herself or that he didn't seem to trust her. She would have to deal with her deciding on one or the other later, right now she had to deal with a little trouble maker sneaking into her home. Before Talia could once again ask why Scandal was in her apartment, Batman had decided to ask her. This didn't shake Talia or even bother her, after all there was more matters at hand than who asked what question, and the two of them had worked enough together that sometimes they could almost read each other's minds.
As Scandal informed them why she had broken into Talia’s apartment, Talia listen with intent wondering if there was some other hidden meaning. When it became clear that there wasn’t, and that all Scandal wanted was to know if Talia and Bane was an item, Talia al Ghul couldn’t help but laugh. Was Scandal still in high school or something? The whole are you dating my boyfriend bit was a little childish but if that was the game Scandal wanted to play, than Talia wasn’t going to stop her; she was just going to be above such things. “Jealousy doesn’t look good on anyone Scandal.” Talia said a calm and collective voice as she moved to an arm chair and sat down, crossing her legs in front of her and resting her arms on the arm rest. Talia looked as if she was comfortable and letting her guard down, the truth was that this was not the case. She could and would be up in a moment with a weapon drawn and her enemy down within a blink of an eye if the case called for it. But right now she wanted to give the appearance that they were about to have a nice friendly chat.
Talia decided she wasn’t going to answer Scandal right now because Talia wanted to watch Scandal for a moment, to read her so to speak. To watch Scandal stew over whether or not her worse fears were about to come true. Yes it was true that Talia’s father wished for her to marry Bane, but Talia had no feelings for him besides the feeling of him being nothing more than an over grown child who was full of himself. Truth was now that she looked at Scandal it was clear the two of them deserve each other, for both of them seemed to be childlike in mentality.
