Her indigo eyes ranked over the rows of batteries that were on display and in packages. The black handle of blue basket that dangled from her arm, the basket was bulky nearly wide enough to give the small girl trouble with holding it. In the basket were simple packets of batteries, numerous packets of batteries from large seventy six packages to small four and two packets of batteries. Also in the basket was a PSP Vita game system, PSP Vita case, along with a game that caught her eye, something called Gravity Rush. She had went and gotten the game, system case and game system first in order to look like a real costumer so as to not draw attention to herself before she had gone over to the battery section. She figured if she was stuck on this planet called Earth then she might as well see why humans used electricity to power their gaming systems. She had never played a game before and idea fascinated her. Ever since she saw a group of children playing them and she could hear the strange sounds they made, it made her childish curiosity grow and demanded to be quenched. And soon she would find out what made these gaming systems so tempting and fun. No one would suspect a child to steal things, but then again she was no child, she just looked like one.
Aislinn shook her head slowly, reaching out to take another battery pack from the rack, her hand stilled when she heard a voice beside her. “Have you found everything you’re looking for?” she whipped her head to the side and up only to find herself being smiled at by a young man, maybe in his early twenties with spiky brown hair, green eyes and fair skin. The man was wearing a blue shirt with beige pants, a brown belt and brown shoes, and his name tag said his name was ‘David’. She gave the man a smile and nodded a yes. She merely nodded when the man said “Don’t hesitate to ask if you need any help.”. The man was kind or maybe he was just being nice because that was his job. She didn’t know or care to know. It wasn’t her concern. She watched out of the corner of her eye as the man walked away. She snatched up the packet of batteries and walked unconcerned toward the exit, her bag on her arm and left open, where she slipped the game system into the bag, followed by the game system case, Gravity Rush, and several packets of batteries. The man from earlier caught her, red handed. “HEY YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THOSE!” his voice was loud and shouty catching the attention of the other costumers and employees. She quickly grabbed the rest of the battery packages and dropped them into her bag while she bolted for the exit, tossing the empty basket behind her as she zipped her bag closed. Her small hands hitting the handle of the door and she heard shouts of “THIEF! THIEF!! THIEF!!! SOMEONE STOP HER, THIEF!!!!” along with the sound of pounding footsteps as she shoved the door to Best Buy open and bolted down the sidewalk.
She didn’t like being called a thief, because really could she be called a thief if she was doing it survive? To live? To Eat? She agreed with her ideals but other people didn’t think so. She was just a petty thief in their eyes. But that was fine; they were just strangers anyway and held no real relationship with her. They were just strangers, people she was likely to never see again. In truth Aislinn really didn’t even like being a thief but desperate times called for desperate measures, she presumed. This was a matter of life and death… and maybe a little pleasure as well but mostly life and death. Her feet pounded on the sidewalk, pushing her forward with each step. She needed to get away. She needed to flee. To survive. One hand clutched around the strap of her electric blue backpack which she had slung over her shoulder when she had started running down the sidewalk. Desperately searching for a place to hide. Anywhere would be fine. She just needed to hide from the police, the civilians and most importantly from the funnily costumed heroes who would attack her for stealing. At least that was what she thought they would do to her. That or they would march her back to that store and make her give all she had stolen back because she’d be a child in their eyes.
Aislinn rolled her eyes at herself as she continued to run from the scene of the crime she had just committed. Okay so perhaps San Francisco hadn’t been the greatest place for her steal from a game store, because of the fact that she had been helped before by a heroine, called Bumblebee… she really wouldn’t like it if Bumblebee caught her… the woman had been kind to her and the thought of her(Bumblebee) catching her made the alien feel a twinge of regret and shame but she quickly shook it off. She had to get away and besides there was no way Bumblebee would be sent to stop her. It was just a petty crime after all and a rather unusual one at that! Besides she had bigger problems to worry about like that group of heroes and heroines here… She shivered at the thought. A GROUP OF THEM! How was she supposed to take on who knows how many? By herself? Oh yes she was screwed big time. But surely those people had more important things to do then go after a petty thief like her? Right? Surely there were bigger fishes out there to fry instead of little her?
Surge's lavender purple lips twisted into a smirk, Bumblebee wouldn’t know it was her if she disappeared from this city quickly enough; at least that was what she thought. No human had ever gotten as close to her as she had. Granted no human had tried before but still it was no small feat that that kind woman had accomplished. Bumblebee had gained a small portion of her trust and had even made her feel ashamed of her own actions, no one had ever managed to make her feel ashamed before and within the small time she got to know Bumblebee the woman had impacted her greatly. She stopped running, pausing only for a moment. Her human form suddenly started vibrating at lightning speeds seconds before a small, thin, lethal, feminine-looking purple electrical being took the human girl’s place, goggles now coming over her electric blue eyes, her bag now slung over both her shoulders nanoseconds before she suddenly raced away at blinding speeds toward the nearest exit that would lead her out of San Francisco. Traveling at the speed of lightning, there was no one who could catch her now, at least that was what she thought…
