The taste of ashes and burnt flesh and hot flames danced on his tongue as she pulled at his control, tugging hard on it, to where it was hard to keep his cool, his level head, it was hard to keep the humanity part of him there. She knew how to push him, to push his buttons. He was not afraid of her, no he was more afraid of the desires he had to kill her, she pull out her still beating heart and eat it in front of her. He could feel the fire rise in his throat and merely gave her one last hiss, as his body tensed up, the muscles bunching with unreleased aggression. He turned his back and walked away from her, having no intention of having another word with her, at least that was until she spoke again.
Eddie whirled around at Cassie’s snide remark and bared his teeth in her direction as he hissed at her, his tail lashing back and forth. “His name is none of our business, he does his job and that is all the matters, he’s like Batman, like Nightwing. Lay off him Cassie!” he growled smoke trailing out his nose as a bit of fire caught the edge of his lips as he spoke. He wasn’t about to let this keep going. He’d nearly swiped his claws down her face, and he fisted his hand and glared at her, his body radiating a heat unlike anything most could miss. He didn’t like her constant attitude.
He took more steps away from her closer to Red Robin as he was leaving to take his stuff upstairs to his room. He did have a few other questions for him, but he couldn’t’ explain why he didn’t get along with Cassie, it seemed to be more than her attitude. He wanted to know what it was, or was it him…or was it Neron? This would be something he’d stoop too.
“You do that,” it’s the only thing you seen to be good at He didn’t say the last bit out loud but that didn’t mean he was thrilled with where his thoughts were going. He was never this ugly, but it seemed to be regular occurrence, she just brought out the worst in him. He didn’t want to fight his teammates, but maybe Robin was on to something? Could it be? Maybe, it was hard to tell, and he wasn’t sure it would make things any better.
He bit his tongue to keep anything else obscene coming out of his mouth. He ran his hands down his face once he was in the safety of the hallway behind Robin. “Robin…you got a minute?” he asked him, his golden eyes looking at him, as he waited, he’d reached out his hand; almost about to tap him on the shoulder, but he withdrew his hand. He really needs to remember that he can’t do that. He frowned ever so slightly, that the movement was hard to catch. “Is everything ok...?” he looked down for a moment wondering if it was even his place to ask. “I mean you know you don’t get called away too often.” He said his eyes lowering a little as he didn’t quite look him in the eyes.

What did it mean, she wondered, when Kid Devil gave one last hiss before backing up and looking away from her. Was it weakness? Was it not wanting to start a fight in front of their ‘leader’? She didn’t know, but the feeling that he was ignoring her, that bothered her, but she still gave a satisfied nod, folding her arms across the swell of her chest and glancing back to Red.
While Red Robin kept his cool, her pointed remark about how well the team was communicating instead netted her a fiery (literally) reaction from the red Devil, kid or not. Cassie was starting to think of him as Robin’s little fanboy, to be honest, given the way he just accepted the excuses and the rest of it. He promptly hissed at her, burping up smoke and flame like a proper little dragon. Again, the blonde felt that itch, the way that him just being there annoyed the Armour. Another time, she might have actually appreciated that, but right now, it was the last thing she needed and one of her own fists clenched tighter.
"No,” She told him. "It’s plenty of my business when he knows all about me but won’t even tell me his first name. He doesn’t just get to claim that he needs to keep it secret.” Her scowl fell upon Red Robin again. "Not when we’re supposed to be learning to trust each other.”
Powerhouse and tomboy that she was, the thought of fighting out their differences didn’t bother Cassie much. In fact, it didn’t bother her at all. It made her wonder what he thought, but the red-skinned boy didn’t actually say anything to it, leaving her to just imagine what his opinion might be. Well, whatever Kid Devil thought of it, and whatever Cassie thought about it personally, she just smirked, glancing the red-skinned boy up and down pointedly. "Hey, Fearless Leader, if you don’t mind me snapping Scrawny here like a twig, we could go that route.” The Armour twisted in her gut and prompted her to carry on. "Not that I mind. He might though.” Her smirk widened.
Already walking away, Cassie didn’t bother turning back as Red Robin spoke up, pointing out that she was hardly the only person who didn’t know his name here. She just stopped briefly, squaring her shoulders slightly and straightening her back, so that all either of the boys could see was her back and the mane of golden hair cascading down it. There was a tense stillness to her body for a moment. But her face was twisted with uncertainty, picking up what she thought had been a subtle note of sadness in his tone, leaving her unsure what to say. "Red…” She began, before shaking her head. "No. I don’t care. If you want to talk, I’ll be around. Probably.”
With that, she left. She heard Kid Devil’s snide little comment, understood what he hadn’t said every bit as well as what he did, but somehow she managed to bite back whatever it is she might have said. Instead, Cassie just wrenched the door open with perhaps a little more force than strictly necessary and walked away, kicking it closed behind her hard enough to bang satisfyingly shut as she made her way towards the training rooms. Breaking a few punching bags sounded really good to her right now. It would calm the Armour down, which would help, she thought, rubbing at her forearm where a perfect line of four spikes had begun to protrude, the wounds where they had broken through her skin oozing blood in a slow trickle.
Then maybe it was time to go see if Doctor Helena Sandsmark had published any more papers while she wasn’t looking, see if there were any big discoveries she’d missed out on…

Tim watched Cassie walk off, pausing his own exit as he did so, admiring her graceful backside with a wistful expression as she walked off with one last parting comment. He shakes it off as Eddie spoke to him, falling back into step with his backpack slung over one shoulder, his helmet held in the other.
He is quite for a second, still thinking before really noticing that the other Titan has spoken to him, his thoughts so far away at the moment that it he has to pause slightly, blinking it off. "Yeah, yeah, of course I do." He speaks as they hit the staircase leading upwards to Red Robins quarters on the sixth floor of the Tower. This path passes by the Hall of Fallen Titans and he spares it a glance of sadness as they walk by it as Eddie speaks.
The former Boy Wonder looks at Eddie, a soft smile on his normally stern lips as the other teen attempts to reach out, then thinks better of it. He catches the slight frown before it passes, listening to Kid Devils words.
"No, I don't normally go away... But it isn't often my Dad calls for me." He stops, wondering if he has said to much. This was the first time he had even acknowledged that he had a family. He slides one rough hand through his thick black hair before continuing on.
"I just had to take care of some personal business at home. Gotham is still shaky since Bane's attacks... And sometimes they need a little extra help."
The latest help involved Tim getting gassed by the Scarecrow and reliving the worst moments in his life, but Kid Devil didn't need to know that. It was probably why he was so introspective lately.
It wasn't often you had to go through memories best left alone... Especially after getting beat by two villains he had beat before. Not that they had realized he was the same Robin that had roughed them up only a few years before.
He shook himself out fo those thoughts, a slight shiver going up his spine... If they had realized who he was... The thought was terrifying.
He smiles at Eddie reassuringly as the reach the fifth floor, "No worries, Eddie. I'll be fine."

Eddie listened to him but he couldn’t help but feel much like Cassie may have had a point in what she said, in the fact that they didn’t know much if anything about him. It was a little disheartening, when this kid knew nearly everything about him, about them all. He tried not to show his surprise of the slip, that he had family. He had a family…well that wasn’t that hard to imagine, a lot of them did, but they kept their identity a secret to protect them. They tried to at least. “Is your Dad Batman?” he questioned curiosity heavy in his tone, his mouth moving before he really had any time to think that question through. He closed his mouth and pressed his balled up knuckles to his mouth. He looked like he’d swallowed the family goldfish or just been caught red handed by his mother.
That hadn’t been the classiest move ever on his part. He frowned and knew he couldn’t quite take back those words that slipped out. It was possible but it was just as easily that the members of Batman’s team weren’t all really family. He immediately went to try and do some damage control.
“Robin…that really isn’t any of my business.” He said quickly knowing that he had every little time to try and correct this. “Uh forget I said anything…but you should know that Raven and Cassie got in a weird fight…I know Cassie says it isn’t a big deal, but it was an ugly fight. It was like they couldn’t control themselves.” He said changing the subject with no subtlety at all. It was like Eddie had just become the big elephant in the room.
He just stopped talking not sure what to say, but his facial expressions spoke volumes he’d royally stuck his foot in his mouth and he was ruefully embarrassed. Maybe we’ll laugh about this one day… he couldn’t help his hopefully thoughts as he waited not sure what Red’s reaction was going to be this. TAG: Red Robin

Tim laughed, a rare sound at Eddie's question. "Batman? I suppose you could say he's like a father to me.. My mentor at the very least." It was, perhaps, the most Tim had ever said so far about his "family" and wasn't going to be the last. Hopefully.
He stopped outside his door, opening it with a scan of his hand, allowing Eddie a look inside. There was a bed, large enough for Tim, covered in a dark comforter, a dresser, and everything else was covered in electronics. Tim was a hacker after all, and a hacker needed the good stuff, and he had the money for the best.
Pausing at the door, he listened as Eddie spoke, as the words tumbled out of the half-demons mouth. His face immediately melted into the half frown and introspective look that was familiar to Red Robin.
Eddie was more observant than most, and obviously more honest than some of the members. After all, Eddie was the only one so far to have come forward with this information.
"How was it strange?"
Tim watched the other teens face closely, looking for any extra information that would be told non-verbally.

Eddie's whole body seemed to deflate of any tension as his leader laughed instead of doing anything else, he'd assumed he might have incurred from the rather unexpected and totally none of business but he'd asked it anyway. Shoulders dropped a bit and he found himself able to breath a little bit, the sound of Red Robin's laughter was enough to make him feel like not quite the complete screw up he seemed to be a lot of the time. His faintly glowing yellow eyes sparked with interest at the bit of information he was given, sometimes he was hard to remember that Red Robin wasn't a robot and that he was complete human and in no way a meta-human he was just incredibly smart.
He knew he himself was smart, but Eddie was also too consumed with his own grief over his Aunt to use his smarts the right way, and now after he had the power to do what he wanted, to be what he had hoped, he wasn't sure how he felt about the fact that as the days continued to pass by him, his life continues to shrink just a little bit more, but it helps make him appreciate what he's doing, and the chances he's been able to take, when others would never get to do the things he did. As his words about Batman trickled towards him, he flicked his tail and tilted his head to the side ever so slight, he knew what that was like, The Blue Devil had been his mentor...years ago when he'd been young and impressionable at least that was before, everything, before he'd found out his idol had killed his Aunt, his only true family and had, had no intention of ever telling him.
Kid Devil looked away avoiding his gaze for a moment as his glowing yellow eyes difted to the floor in thought, how was he going to explain the fight and not explain his own reaction, that would require admitting to how he got his powers and he couldn't do that...at least, at least not yet. He frowned slightly before he raised his head and looked Red Robin in the eye.
"Terra causes a lot of anmosity between the memebers, but more the older members, the ones from before the rest of us." he explained with a slight shrug as he dragged his fingers into his silver locks with a big huff causing smoke to wiff up and be carried a little higher into the air to give him a little bit cover and that left only his eyes glowing brightly in the black smoke. But it wasn't as though he was stating something that Red was unaware of it, it just didn't really work that way. Red was aware of just about everything that went on and if he didn't know any better he'd say he knew about a lot more then he was letting on.
"Raven sort of lost in with everyone's emotions and then when the leaked out among the rest of us, Cassie seemed to feed of it and then I really don't know what happened but they both went at each other, like full force. Conner wasn't around and no one else could have stood a chance...so I stepped in and then Karen used this rune thing to knock Raven out and it sort of ended, but that shouldn't have happened in the first place...I'm not sure what caused it, but Robin we can't have them fighting like that, not amongst ourselves, I mean I know we aren't the best team and no all of us get along...but we can't be fighting like that on a constant basis...i mean we are a team or at least I thought that's what we are trying to be"
He dropped his gaze and his tail drooped to the ground, he wasn't sure how much more of a disappointment they could be to him, to Robin, they must all be a bunch of immature kids, who couldn't do anything right and time and time again they were just proving the point. He didn't want to be part of that, he wanted to show Red Robin that, that wasn't all that they were, that it wasn't all that he was.
