Happy Wednesday Clashites!
I wanted to congratulate and thank everyone for their continued support and enthusiasm for Clash of the Finest. We have finally left the summer days - a.k.a, more free time and nothing to do - and we're now well into fall and we still have a healthy and vivacious board to present. I really appreciate everyone's posts, stories and chit chat in the cbox it's so great to see everybody so happy and I'm glad that there is a place for everyone to express themselves!
Fluff aside, I wanted to propose and implement a new procedure on the board that I'd like to see in action as soon as possible! As we have all noticed we have more members, a lot of ongoing plots and threads with a large head count. Of course, with more numbers comes more confusion and in order to avoid posting order mishaps or confusion I'd like to start a "tag" system.
Basically all this requires is a small line at the end of your post that lists the next person who is set to post. Here is an example:
[/style]
TAG: Doctor Cyber
[/style]That's all there is to it! It doesn't have to be colored, but it will help in terms of popping out of your post. All we really would like to see is the tag bolded and hanging off to the right of your post to distinguish it from the rest of your writing.
This system doesn't always have to be used. In fact, when you are involved in a thread with two players you don't have to tag anyone (if you'd like to that'd be great. It would otherwise make the board look very uniformed :D). But if you are involved in a thread with three or more people we would like to see this system being used.
Additionally, if you are starting out an open thread and are still amassing responses, your Tag line could merely say TAG: Open, this way everyone knows that they are free to post next. Once the head count is established however, it is your responsibility to begin formally tagging players in your subsequent posts to keep this organized.
I hope this new system will help avoid confusions and avoid others from stepping on toes. This will also help people who are gone for some time remember where they are supposed to post or just help people who normally forget!
Finally, this happened about a month ago but we surpassed 2,000 posts! Go us! :D
And finally (this time for real) we are planning a Halloween based Plot Event so look out for it!
Happy Posting!
