It was a great relief when the Amazon presented no further resistance to his manipulation, the sensation was even greater when Roger realised that the woman had completely succumb to his will. The heroine Donna Troy had fallen, lured into the darkness by his hand. With a contented sigh Roger allowed the Amazon to reclaim her property for they would be her instruments of war and she his tool for distraction, she would serve him as a means to avoid detection, she would prevent the heroes from returning him to Belle Reve. Now that he was comfortable with her mental state and the certainty that she would not attempt to destroy him, Roger removed the Medusa Mask so he could wipe away the blood that had caked between it and his face. As Roger set about cleaning the macabre mess off of his mask, he noted that his thrall was concerning herself with headwear also, though the crown she wore was simply a symbol of power whereas his mask provided him with the ability to break those who wielded great might. Donna herself was testimony to the fact, for her conversion was no mean feat, he doubted that the Queen of Themyscira could mould the minds of her people as he had.
When the woman returned her focus to him, Roger had already finished cleaning the dried blood from the mask and was in the process of using the reflection of a nearby mirror to wipe the lingering scabs from around his nose and mouth. It did not surprise him in the least that the woman was eager to leave the nest and wreck havoc on those she believed had wronged her, though her use of peculiar language did. Roger had never thought of himself as attractive, not enough to warrant the Amazon's use of handsome nor did he expect her to be hungering for the blood of 'dragons', it made him wonder if he had put to much emphasis on the love he had imbued her with and whether he had greatly underestimated the rage that the woman harboured. Looking at the Medusa Mask in his hand, Roger considered using it on Donna once more but doubted that it would do much good. Sighing, the Psycho Pirate packed the mask into it's case and addressed the woman as he did so, “Miss Troy, as much as the idea of slaying the dragons of this world appeals to me, we have a greater task to undertake.” Ensuring the clasps were secure, Roger locked his mask safely away, “We must disgrace the beasts before we issue the final blow. Believe me Donna, you will have your vengeance and it will be sweet.” Smiling darkly as thought of the scenario that he described, Roger knew that his influence on the fallen heroine was strong enough that she would not so readily contradict his wishes yet.
Straightening his suit jacket as he prepared for his departure, Roger didn't require the woman to accompany him back to Metropolis, no she would be of better service to the Society here, continuing to act as if all was normal and Donna Troy was the same heroine she had always been. Making for the door, Roger turned back to face the battle ready Amazon and found himself torn, he wasn't entirely sure as to how he was going to handle her affections, removing his mobile phone he tossed it to the woman. As he opened the door he called out, “I ask that you hide your true intentions from those who have wronged you Miss Troy, that is until I command you otherwise. Protect the phone Donna, I'll be in touch.” Closing the door behind himself, Roger hoped that the Amazon would obey his orders, she ought to, especially if she was infatuated with him.
Again Roger felt relief, eager to return to his hotel suite in Metropolis, he had grown weary of this depressing city and longed to be lavished once more, not to mention putting an icepack on his nose. Rifling through his pocket, Roger produced the return ticket and sighed, the piece of cardboard had survived the encounter with the super powered being unscathed. Despite the trouble he had encounter on his first passing through this suburb, Roger like his ticket made the passage from Donna Troy's apartment to the train station unmolested. Fortuitously, Roger had managed to arrive only minutes before a train destined for the boy scout's city was scheduled to depart. Sinking into his chair, Roger found himself relaxing, that was until the passenger opposite him began to drum their fingers against the glass. For a moment he found himself considering action but instead Roger retrieved his magic pills and sighed, he was infinitely grateful that it was only six hours until Metropolis.
